A little peace of Cornish Heaven
Introduction
7 years ago I relocated to a beautiful 4 bedroom cottage in South West Cornwall. I have always had the dream of moving from London to Cornwall and after years of talking about it, I decided that I would bite the bullet. I am currently working part time, 15 hours per week at a GP surgery in St Ives which is great as I have a balance of both work & home life. I have 4 lovely dogs, Jasper a mini schnauzer 10, my big gentle giant Monty a Golden Doodle 7, Archie who is my partners dog a mini Schnauzer 5 & my baby is Ernie a Cavapoo who is nearly 2. I wanted to spend more time with my boys as in London I was working fulltime & felt they didn't get enough of my time. I have also looked after many dogs over the years and can vouch that all my 4 dogs are very friendly and love company and affection. I have embraced village life & am a keen cold water swimmer which I absolutely love!

My home is on the doorstep to the Godolphin Estate with many lovely woodland walks. It is just under 4 miles from the 3 mile golden sands of Hayle, 7 miles from St Ives and just 10 minutes from Marazion and St MIchaels Mount. Approximately 3 miles the other way is beautiful Praa Sands and Porthleven with Helston just 7 miles away. The house is ideally situated, 30 minutes from Truro one way and Falmouth the other, and very close to the beautiful Lizard coastline and the beautiful beach of Kynance Cove. It is also very close to Penzance and Lands End and many National Trust beauty spots in abundance.I have travelled round most of Cornwall and consider the area I have decided to settle in to be the most beautiful!

Wayne and I loved sitting for Jackie’s four adorable doggies! We stayed for 11 days in Jackie’s spacious, lovely presented home in the heart of the Cornish countryside. It was a great location only 20-30 mins away from St Ives, stunning beaches, and supermarkets (handy!). The dogs were all very well behaved and affectionate - always wanted to be sat on our laps or by our side. We shared every night with Jasper and Buster on the bed with us! Jackie is a great host, friendly and helpful (very thorough hard copy of welcome guide!) and had groceries, Prosecco and chocs waiting for us on our arrival. Lovely touch which added to the holiday feel! We would certainly love to sit for these four chaps again and enjoy lots of cuddles and scenic walks with them xx

Spent a few days looking after Jackie's pack of four dogs. We had a lovely time getting to know all the dogs and thoroughly enjoyed spending time in Jackie's lovely 'Cottage.' Jackie is well positioned for both shops and beaches in the area but you will need a car. Good walking for the dogs with or without car.

This has been one of the most delightful sits we have done here in the UK Jackie was as keen for us to see what we could of her beloved Cornwall as she was to have us look after her beautiful four fur boys! The pooches and the tribe dynamics kept us endlessly entertained and we gave and received loads of love from each one of them!!! Jackie has a lovely contemporary house which was a joy to live in and we would not hesitate to recommend this household as a fantastic sit to any sitter! Thanks for inviting us Jackie and thanks for giving us a new friend too!

I really enjoyed this sit.My friend helped me out as these are four bundles of fun and we needed a car to drive them to the beaches and walks.Jackie loves these dogs to bits,so all she asks of a sitter is to give them as much affection and care as she does. They are all great characters, extremely good off the lead and in the car and are very friendly with other dogs. They are all good eaters and very straightforward to look after, although you need to be firm with Jasper and Monty as there is some jealousy which is to be expected with a pack of dogs.Jackie lives in the perfect location for dog walking, next to a gorgeous National Trust estate and just a 10 minute drive to dog friendly Penzance beach or Hayle beach.I met her a week before the sit to introduce myself to her affectionate gang and found Jackie a friendly, generous, fun loving woman who makes you feel very welcome in her house.I would say this is a sit for two experienced dog people with a car,as the dogs are just easier to manage this way.Sometimes i liked to put them all on the lead if I thought adders might be about on the heathland so I think two people are much better for the dogs.Jackies house is perfect for a stay, extremely comfortable with a garden and great pubs nearby. The dogs are well behaved in cafes and Monty was good as gold at the vets. They are all very sweet natured and loving.I very much hope to return next year to sit again.
