House sitter required for Christmas and New Year - car required
Introduction
Hello I am looking for a couple or individual to house sit for me. I no longer have a pet although I do have a cat that has adopted me. I do not feed her or leave her alone in the house but she comes every day and I do give her lots of cuddles ! I know its madness! Anyway my plants need looking after so that will keep you busy for about 5 mins and the rest of the time you can take advantage of this beautiful region ! Its a lovely house

We live in a big old farmhouse in a rural French village - about 5 minutes drive from 2 supermarkets (although our village has a corner shop and boulangerie and restaurant)! Our house is lit by a wood fire so you will need to know how to light one! We also have 3 gites although they are closed for the season. We are in the Corbieres so great for wine lovers, walkers, cyclists. 30 mins from the beaches and near lots of medieval must sees including the stunning city of Carcassonne (that is also one of our nearest airports although we are only 90 mins from Toulouse and Montpellier) You do need a car here, otherwise you won’t be able to benefit from all the amazing sightseeing. There are plenty of walks for Bob locally so don't worry he won't need to go in your car!

Honor is one of those amazing people you meet once and never forget / make a friend for life. It was very important to her that we felt comfortable and at home (and we absolutely did!). We had a delicious welcome dinner and two days to get to know each other, in which Honor made sure we knew the house, showed us beautiful walks in the neighbourhood and gave us lots of tips for the area. She is an excellent host and was always available. The cat is so cute, trusting and relaxed. She loves to cuddle and is very easygoing. The house and garden are a little paradise! Situated in a beautiful village and a breathtaking landscape. Everything (walks, castles, supermarkets...) can be reached within a few minutes by car. We really couldn't have wished for a better time and are very grateful for it. Thank you so much!!!
