Responsibilities

As well as looking after the house, we have an adorable dog, Lulu, a friendly Karakachan (Bulgarian Shepherd dog) who is affectionate and a very good guard dog. She can be powerful, so we are not able to consider applications from anyone with very young children. Lulu is very loyal and will walk alongside you and doesn't chase other dogs. There are numerous sumptuous beaches nearby which provide for excellent walks. She is averse to going in the sea. Our cat, Daisy, lives an independent existence and can be very affectionate or aloof, as the mood takes her: if you measure up to her requirements she will allow your lap to be where she reclines. Cats were once revered as gods and she has never forgotten this. She likes to be escorted to her food bowl in the morning and may deign to sleep with you but if you don't fuss her, she will very gently paw you until you succumb. We keep her in at night. We would like you to water the houseplants once a week, top up our birdfeeders and wheel out the bins for rubbish collection weekly. This assignment would suit a couple willing to spend most of the time at the house and we have a perfect environment for a digital nomad. If you are not an EU or UK citizen, please familiarise yourself with restrictions on how long you can stay in Ireland. Please ensure you address this in any application or approach.
