Chris and Aerrie are I.T. Consultants who primarily work from home in Albufeira, Portugal but do travel some to California for projects. They also visit family in the USA and Korea and can be away for 2-6 weeks at a time. This was easy to do until two little ones came to live with them. Now they like to travel knowing someone is looking after them and the house.

Our house is a detached 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom modern house with everything you would ever need to have a comfortable stay. Additionally we have a pool house which has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and an Artist Studio. The location of the house is within the city of Albufeira and is easy walking distance to many restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, bars & entertainment and about a 20 minute walk to the beaches. Also a 3 minute walk to the regional private hospital with 24 hour emergency room, for those prone to accidents. :) The neighbors next door are very friendly and helpful, and if you are kind to them, you may be gifted fresh veggies from their farm in Alentejo. We both love to cook so the kitchen is stocked with all sorts of pots, pans and cooking utensils. There is a large screen TV with fiber internet. Netflix and Amazon Prime Movies. There is air condition and heat in every room. There is a full laundry room with a washer and drier, American sized refrigerator (of course). The private grounds are 900 m2 of gardens, fruit trees, pool, bar-b-cue area and outdoor seating areas.

Thomas and Lilly are indoor & outdoor cats. We haven't really been able to get them into a strict routine. Sometimes they stay inside all night and run around outside during the day, coming in for a snack or nap periodically, sometimes they stay out all night and sleep in all day, periodically going out and coming back in.. About 6:00ish they both get a half sachet of wet food and again about 17:00ish. They really love this and we make a big deal out of it. Thomas is very vocal during the setting down of the wet food. We have a litter box for them inside but they rarely use it. They much prefer using the neighbors yards HA! Point is, if you have to leave for a while and they are sleeping, you can just leave them in the house and if they have to go, they will use the litter box. Other than that, we have a few planters out back that i water every morning and we have a gardener that comes to trim and clean the pool once a week.

Where do I start, Chris & Miss Aerrie were phenomenal hosts. We arrived a couple of days early and they showed us around, took us shopping and helped us get settled into the house. They were also very generous in taking us to their favorite restaurants. The house was perfectly equipped with fiber internet, comfortable furniture, fully stocked kitchen and a private guest house that I used as my office space. Lily & Thomas are awesome cats. Lily has the softest fur and when comfortable she will sit or sleep with you if you let her. Thomas loves being petted but not a fan of being picked up. Both are affectionate and playful. We spent a month enjoying the Algarve in the off season, there was still plenty to see and do and car rentals are nearby. We also had everything we needed to work from home. If I could give this sit 10 stars I would, this was our favorite sit and we would love to return any time.
