Enjoy our tropical Oasis while loving on our sweet dogs and a bunny
Introduction
We are a family of four. I am a full time Mom not only to my human children but also to my fur babies. We have a love and passion for animals as all three of my girls have been rescues. Pinky came from an animal shelter and at that time I was a volunteer dog walker. I took her out on a walk and wrote in her behavior card for the day and the supervisor approached me and told me that if no one was going to adopt her that day she was going to be put down. I couldn't understand how no one hadn't adopted her yet, since she was so loving and sweet to me nearly drenching my face with doggie kisses! Turns out from the entire time she was there, she didn't move her feet to walk, shook a lot and peed on her dog walkers in fear if they tried to get near her to pet her or pick her up. So here I am with Pinky my chihuahua! I'm not a chihuahua fan, but she just stole my heart. However I am a big time beagle lover and rescued a mom and her pup from a testing lab. Gigi was supposed to be in the Lab for 2 yrs, however, she was released at a yr and half due to getting pregnant in the facility. I agreed to take Mom(Gigi) and one of her pups (Kiki). It took a lot of hard work and patience to get Gigi house trained and just the basics to learn how to be a dog. She had never been outside and experienced play as a dog. Thankfully her pup showed her and taught her the joys and simple playfulness of being a dog. As far as Kiki, she is the baby and knows it! She seems to think she is the alpha and does what she will. My girls have all come a long way and are the sweetest! They are my world! As a family of four we are starting g to travel more with the kids. My parents used to takeover for us while we left for vacations, However they are getting older and more forgetful. So now it is time to consider other options.

We live in a small neighborhood on 4 acres of land near the Delta. Our property is a hidden private tropical oasis full of palms and trees with a pool to keep you cool on those hot days. If you spend sometime outdoors you may encounter some wildlife like Hawks, bunnies, squirrels, ducks, bluejays, hummingbirds, lizards, dragonflies, and butterflies. We are minutes away from the Sandy Cove Shopping center, Campos Family Vineyards, and Hanna Nicole Vineyards. You will have the choice of staying in either of the spare bedrooms with its own bathroom.

We normally start our day around 7:30am. I let all the dogs outside to go potty while I tell them to "go potty" While they are outside, Bugsy gets fed first with her pellet food along with hay stuffed in her metal ball. Then I prepare all the dogs food bowls and water. After I open the door and call the girls to come in to eat (If they aren't already scratching at the door to come in) they run to their bowls and eat. Pinky can be a little hesitant to eat sometimes and may need a little coaxing to eat. I usually put some food pellets on the floor outside her bowl and that usually will do the trick. If not, I'll wait to try to feed her again a little later (after the morning walk). Throughout the day the dogs will go in and out. I takeout them out for a quick morning walk around 9:30am. The dogs have a tendency to lap up their water, so need to be sure bowls always have water in it. ( If not, no worries Kiki is infamous for letting you know by barking at water bowl) If your comfortable letting Bugsy out of her cage for a while please do. She has a play pen you can put her in. The girls for the most part will laze around on the couch. Around 6 or 7pm, the girls go for an evening stroll. Before bed, let all dogs out to go potty and then they are in for the night. They are very sweet, loving and cooperative.

This was a fabulous sit. Melody's home and property were a wonderful treat. The dogs, Pinky, Gigi and Kiki were great and got along well with our dog. They all have unique personalities and we really enjoyed getting to know them. Bugsy was also a lot of fun and very easy to care for. Melody was a good communicator and answered all of my questions. We highly recommend this sit.

This sit is an oasis indeed! 🏝️ The girls (Pinky, Gigi, Kiki, & Bugsy) & chickens were a breeze to watch. They get along so well and are just SO sweet! Melody and her family were so kind starting from our first chat. The communication was great and although we did not see each other for hand off, we felt set up for success with clear instructions. There's plenty to keep yourself entertained on the property itself, for instance - enjoy the pool, hop on the trampoline, play basketball, hang out in a treehouse, wrap up the day with stargazing in the hot tub. Overall, this sit is a gem & we'd HIGHLY recommend to take the opportunity if you can!
