Pet sitter required for three older dogs from July 26th until 30th …

Introduction

I have three rescue dogs, 13 10+and 7.. I had Pluto, our older dog from a rescue centre in Northern Ireland and brought him home to Mayo…I met Jennalee at soidog foundation in Thailand where I worked for a few weeks in 2019, she is a tri-paw, and had previously been a street dog..and Phoebe is a new family member since early 2024, she was in a shelter in northern Spain and had been attacked by other dogs and the shelter desperately needed to get her a home so I went over and brought her home …all of them are very sweet and friendly dogs… they are house dogs and are treated like family to us. I need a housesitter to enable us to go on holidays and know that they are being well looked after in their own home.

Home & location

I live i charlestown, County Mayo, Ireland. This is the west of Ireland, and home to many beautiful mountains and beaches.. I have a three bedroom house with secure rear garden. Charlestown is very accessible to Galway (1hr 15 mins) Sligo (45 mins) Castlebar (25 mins) Strandhill beach (famous for surfing-45 mins) and only 10 minutes from Knock international airport. Charlestown is a small friendly community with shops, bars , restaurants, pharmacies etc. The room that housesitters will stay in is a large double bedroom and they will have sole use of a large bathroom and of course the rest of the house.

Responsibilities

Days start with letting Pluto and Jennalee into the garden for their wee’s, next is feeding and then a walk, usually 10-15 minutes and as the are both older dogs they usually sleep on their settee in the lounge afterwards…Feeding again in the evening and back on their settees after their evening walk, they are very easy to look after once they are fed and walked. They do love human interaction and will take all of the fuss you can give. Neither of them are on meds.
