We are two ladies, retired, and love to travel, and we have a lot of travel planned for 2022 and 2023. We also love our cats and want them to be as happy as they can be, staying at home with someone watching them is best for them. Hoping to make a great connection with a house sitter.

We live on a barrier island, Hutchinson Island, in a condo community with 240 residences. Our condo is on the Indian River, on the first floor. Great views, a pool right next to us, we are on the ground floor, so you can just walk out to the pool or river. The community also has 3 buildings on the beach and we have beach access, it's like a 5 min walk to the beach. Sitters would stay in the Master bedroom. We have a second bedroom, which is really a catch all room for computers, crafts and anything else we want to try. The condo is 1200 sq ft, nicely appointed kitchen, relaxing patio, big tv in the living room, washer and dryer in the unit.

Cats get fed a small can of wet food in the mornings, we pick it up in an hour or so, even if they are not finished. We leave kibble and water out all day and night for them. Clean kitty litter daily, they are very particular. Some play time in the afternoons. And we let them on the screened in patio during the day when you are home. There are some orchids that will need to be watered with ice cubes. When we are gone for more than 2 weeks, keeping the kitchen, bathrooms and other areas clean and vacuumed. Kitty litter is fully changed and cleaned every 3 weeks. If it is hurricane season, securing the shutters will be necessary, it's pretty easy to do. And if evacuation is necessary, we will work with the sitters to figure out the best options for them and the cats. Following all condo rules is necessary also, they are not too extreme.

We had a lovely extended stay taking care of Gina and Julie's sweet cats Costa and Dixie. Gina and Julie have a beautiful, clean, well-organized condo by the water. They're great hosts and made us feel right at home, and did thoughtful things like clearing closet space for us to use during our stay. Costa and Dixie are sweet, adorable, affectionate cats who are each other's best friends. They love to cuddle up together in the sun and do almost everything together. They're delightful companions for each other and for the humans who love them, and were great company for us, whether it was out on the sunporch (their favorite spot) or inside in the evenings on the sofa watching tv all together. Taking care of Costa and Dixie, and staying in Julie and Gina's lovely home, was a wonderful experience.

What a lovely sit!  Julie and Gina are great hosts. The condo is sweet and breezy. The best, though, is the two great cats: they are calm and loving and so cute with one another. I’ve booked on for a few sits and am looking forward to getting to spend more time with them.
