3-bedroom Beach House near Nantasket Beach and Boston
Introduction
We are a family of four, plus a pup. We have two toddlers and our german shepherd, Samson. We love to travel and explore together but often cannot bring Samson with us since he is so big and is not amazing with other dogs. My mother lives in the (fully separate) apartment downstairs and sometimes she travels with us and other times she does not. She loves Samson but does't like to watch him because he is very strong and active and needs a long walk every day.

We live in a quirky and colorful little house close to the beach with a fenced in yard. It is a wonderful walkable town. From the house you can walk to Nantasket Beach, the grocery store, post office, bakery, pharmacy, and an amazing mediterranean shop all in under 5 minutes. We have the main level with the living room, music room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and master bedroom. You will stay upstairs in the guest room, and if you are travelling with children we will also make up the kids room for them to stay in, which is also upstairs. Samson will happily sleep on the floor by your bed, he always loves company. There are cameras at the front and back door, but none in the house. The fenced in backyard has lights to sit under while you eat dinner outside (weather permitting), which we highly recommend every night in the summer. From the house you can also travel into Boston on a quick 20 minute ferry ride, which drops you right in the center of the city with all that Boston has to offer. The ferry is about a 10-15 minute drive from the house. You can also bike there or take the 714 bus.

Samson is a big sweetheart who just wants to be with you all the time, and I mean big (he's around 100 lbs). He needs a long walk or run in the morning (about 45 min-one hour walk). He is given one large bowl of food in the morning and one in the evening. We let him hang out outside in the yard when we are home but bring him in if he barks. If you are there in the summer we also ask that you use the hose in the backyard that is hooked up to the well pump to water the garden and outdoor plants. Feel free to eat anything out of the garden as well! Samson is very good on walks and runs, but he does need structure established. Make sure he walks next to you for the first block and then he won't pull the entire time. He is not great around other dogs, so don't let him go up to them. He will bark and pull if he sees another dog close to him, but can be redirected. He is more motivated by his ball than treats so it is good to bring it on walks with you. He is allowed on the beach from October-May and loves to swim, but don't let him off leash to go get the ball if other dogs are around. He doesn't bite but he barks very aggressively and makes other dogs and owners nervous since he is so big and loud.

I had a wonderful weekend in Hull taking care of sweet rowdy Samson. The house is adorable, comfortable, and has everything you will need. Samson is a unique dog. He is BIG and strong with the attitude of a teenager. He must get attention or he will get sneaky on you. This dog requires a handler with physical strength and patience. Do not be intimidated, his personality and sweetness far make up for his size and bark. I would be delighted to take care of him again and I am grateful for the family opening their lovely home to me and my boyfriend (who joined part of the time).
