Housesitter in Connecticut Countryside - Great Hiking Nearby!

Hi there! We are a young professional couple who own a nice house in a beautiful, rural area of northwest Connecticut, and need someone to occasionally stay here when we travel. All you have to do is feed & let our dog outside. It's a peaceful home and our dogs are very mellow and well behaved. If you like the outdoors there are tons of outdoor attractions nearby: beautiful hiking trails year-round, lakes to swim during the summer, cross-country skiing in the winter, and it's a 1.5 hr train ride from New York City. We have a four bedroom 1500 sq. ft. house that sits on ten acres in the countryside. We have beautiful gardens and you can go for hikes in the woods behind our house (or lots of nature preserves/hiking areas around where we live). Our house is simple and clean, with fun technology our guests can enjoy - we have a large screen TV with Netflix/Amazon prime, super fast WIFI, a home theatre (10' projection screen) in the living room, etc. We have Playstation 4 and ipad available for you to use. You will have a private guestroom and will have your own bathroom ready for you when you arrive.

We have one very friendly, super easy to care for dog (feed them once a day, let them outside and you're good!). Other than that, there is nothing else to do but enjoy our peaceful home. If you can water the plants once a week that would be nice:)

We had a great time taking care of Leah's fish and the three wonderful, kind and super mellow dogs. Leah and her boyfriend were very friendly and helpful and we felt comfortable in their cottage and enjoyed their beautiful garden. The area is full of great hiking trails and pretty little towns.

This was my second sit for these dream dogs. As before, this was a great experience with the sweetest pack of dogs and very kind and accommodating hosts. The home is great for cozying in a getting work done as well as heading off into the woods for many hikes. Running and playing with the dogs outside, and cuddling up at night made my days. Would always go back whenever the timing is right.

I stayed at Leah's in the autumn season. Her home is in a beautiful, quiet area of Connecticut for those who want to relax and enjoy the beautiful greenery and stone walls and steps on the property. One must love dogs as her pets are people dogs who are very loving and want to be near you. Leah's property is great to let the dogs roam and play freely and take them for walks behind the house.
