Hii all. I have been told that as soon as people walk onto this special property they just take a deep breath and relax. Meadow Run Farm isn't fancy, but it's definitely peaceful and comfortable. As for the house, it is a cozy ranch house on a 23-acre farm. Three of the dogs and one of the cats live with me inside, and if you are good they will let you share the couch and the bed. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. You would be staying in the master bedroom, which has the small en-suite bath. Beside that there is an office/guest room and an exercise room which doubles as the cat's room, with elliptical and treadmill, free weights and a small TV. Down the hall the comfortable living room has a high ceiling and a 60" Tv for streaming. This room opens into the bright kitchen, with a large refrigerator, 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher and assorted small appliances. There are plank floors throughout the house. If you walk out the back door onto the deck you will be overlooking the above-ground pool and the 21-acres that serve as home for the horses, who live there as an intact herd. There is a barn where I hold group sessions for my EFL practice, and a covered arena. The property also has 120 pecan trees, perfect shade for hot southern days. If you are an experienced rider, we can talk about that when we connect. If you do choose to leave this idyllic property, there are some great restaurants in Griffin, about 15-minutes away. These include J. Henry's (one of my favorites), Angelo's Mediterranean Restaurant and the Corner Cafe, plus assorted pizza, Chinese and of course, barbeque places. For outdoor enjoyment, you can visit Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park, with its 160 acres, Heads Creek Reservoir, and the hiking and biking trails. There is even a film tour that celebrates the many films and TV shows filmed in the area (the Denzel Washington movie "Flight" was filmed next door to my previous farm just 15 minutes away...and yes, ladies, he is as handsome in person). Griffin has an 18-hole golf course and lots more. And if that isn't enough, it is only a half-hour drive to Atlanta. So, relax and enjoy. I have set it up so the animals are easy for me to care for by myself, so even with all of them, there is lots of time to have fun.
