Magical bungalow
Introduction
We live in a restored bungalow in the rural town of West Cornwall CT. Our little house was built as a summer cottage in the 1850’s and we have winterized it and live here year round. Our piece is about 7 acres of field and woods with really spectacular views. We have two dogs (lab mixes). I’m the guy with the glasses in the profile picture.

We live on a dead end road across the street from a farm. There are spectacular views off our back deck and we are minutes away from Mohawk Ski Resort. There are also tons of hiking options all around.

Primary responsibility is walking and feeding the dogs. Water the house plants (there are 4 total so it’s not difficult). Dogs walk once in the morning and again in the late afternoon. They eat kibble twice a day.

This was such a fabulous sit! Frank and Jarlath have a very warm, charming and welcoming home. And the views are incredible – I could never get tired of that view. The home is always filled with light, the surroundings are peaceful. I immediately fell in love with Maebh and Haley! Their personalities are fun and loveable. They are both very well behaved – I never had to worry about them not listening to me. They loved to go out on hikes and be in the woods. And they just want to be your constant companion – which always made me smile. At home, they are calm and lazy girls. These girls really left paw prints on my heart. Frank and Jarlath are wonderful people, very thoughtful and generous with their time and kindness. They made sure to go through the daily routine with me, and we took the girls for one of their normal walks together. They left for me a very detailed packet with so much information, from contacts if I needed help, to points of interest in the area, suggestions of places to visit, and their favorite hikes nearby that the girls were very familiar with. From the minute I walked in and met them, I was comfortable. And communication with them was easy throughout the entire process and while they were away. Overall, a 10 out of 10, and I would highly recommend to any sitter. Thank you, Frank and Jarlath, for such an amazing stay!

Dogs Maebh and Haley are a delight to care for and stole my heart with their adorable personalities. Meanwhile their owners were thoughtful and generous, allowing access to all of the amenities of their home, including preparing their room for me to stay in and purchasing provisions for my time there. The cottage is comfortable and charming with gorgeous views and an amazing chef’s kitchen. The location is a bit remote, but again, Frank and Jarlath were thoughtful in introducing me to a neighbor/ emergency contact. They themselves were always a text away and great with communicating. This is a wonderful sit for anyone seeking some quiet time, or a place to find inspiration.

This sit was nothing short of spectacular. Frank and Jarlath are kind and communicative and made us feel completely comfortable with our daily routine. We immediately fell in love with Maebh and Haley who are both 100% obedient, well-behaved and affectionate. The home is spotless, the spacious and welcoming kitchen is equipped with everything you need and more, and the bed is beyond comfortable. There is a persistent cool breeze that blows across the property which is surrounded by bucolic rolling hills. Mountain views can be seen from every room. The home is sun-flooded and peaceful with sounds of nature all around. We did not want to leave. Grab this sit if you have the opportunity!
