Auckland by Foot
Introduction
We live very centrally in Parnell, one of Auckland's oldest suburbs. We have an elderly cat called Buckleton. She is an absolute smooch and will sleep on your lap for as long as you can bear it! Her purr is quite loud! Boarding is too stressful for her, as she just wants to be at home following the sun and sleeping the day away. She is pretty low maintenance. She has a cat door, so no litter trays here. We need her to be fed twice a day, morning and night.

We live in one of the leafy suburbs of Auckland city, rated as one of the top 10 cities to live in by Economist magazine. Our home is comfortable and you can explore Auckland on foot from here. It's a short walk to the Domain, Newmarket shopping area, water front walkway. A little further and you are in the city and by the waterfront, art gallery, port and ferries. If you hop onto the train you are in the city in 10 minutes. In the car the motorway on-ramp is 3 minutes away. Our home has lots of space, all amenities, and loving fur folk. It's quiet, warm and secure. We have a large garden if you enjoy pottering.

We would like to be able to keep the pets in their own routine and space and would be asking you to walk the dogs, feed them & Buckleton twice a day, throw the ball and do poo patrol around the garden, empty kitty litter trays as required. The dogs are best not left alone for too long (4 hours is my usual maximum). They do tend to get into mischief if alone (dig up the garden, destroy stuff inside) We also would expect you to keep an eye on the house, keep it clean, empty the mail box, & put out trash. It’s not a high crime area though:-) The bees don't need any attention and are well away from the house. Our ideal sitters are retired or working from home as the dogs are used to having company.
