We live in a detached country house that is at the bottom of a 300m lane, fields to the front of us and forest to the back. There is a neighboring construction office and yard that is to the west of our property this is part of our family business so help on hand should it be needed during the working week. Private guest bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor with hallway leading to family room and kitchen. The house has gas central heating and during the winter months there is a Log fire that heats the house to extreme levels when need be, the TV has Sky and BT sports. The back garden is big enough to exercise the dogs during the day but has a gate that leads into the forest where pathways lead to, the local town Flitwick or Greenfield and Flitton village, Pubs at 1 mile, 2 mile or 2.5mile and all cater for food. The garden has stables and paddock, the cat sleeps and gets fed in the stable but he will not be far away when you are outside, he even walks with the dogs in the evening, probably as he knows he gets fed at the end of the walk. There is an outside swimming pool that we heat between May and September, sheltered areas to sunbathe and various games from table football, table tennis, boules, etc. The train line from Flitwick train station, 12 min walk, is the Bedford to Brighton line which takes about 50 min to get to central London, 1hr 50min to Brighton, 10min to Bedford. Nearby is Woburn Safari park, Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Estate, Wrest Park, Ampthill Village, Milton Keynes, all within a 10 - 30min drive, a car is essential to get to most of these. Local leisure centre in flitwick has numerous amenities, Golf clubs, Tennis clubs can be arranged with introduction from ourselves. Local supermarkets are Tescos, walking distance 15 min,, Waitrose in Ampthill, 4 miles. Local restaurants range from basic to top end and takeaways or deliveries are also available.

Meg, is now getting on and sleeps most of the time but both her and Betsy look forward to short walks in the morning, afternoon and evening. Lottie will sometimes go out with the labradors but likes to sit beside us on the couch when we are sitting down. All the dogs get fed in the morning and then in the evening, the cat gets fed after the evening walk with the dogs. Morning and afternoon walks are in the forest at the back of the house and evening walks are along the lane before bedtime. House is in the country so a car to get here is essential.

We had such a lovely time sitting for Valerie. Her dogs are absolutely hilarious! My son had so much entertainment playing with Willow and I was able to gently introduce my baby girl to Lottie the smallest dog, she was so gentle and trusting. I was welcomed so warmly and made to feel at home. Truly lovely people. Such a beautiful home as well! Thank you so much for having us!

This is a lovely sit in a lovely location. Valerie and Robbie are wonderful hosts. Betsy and Willow (the labs) are so affectionate and playful and fun. Lotti (Pomeranian) has all the sass and Boris (cat) loves a cuddle and head rub. I’ll be back!! LOL
