Introduction
We are empty-nesters, Jing and David, I am a former stay at home mom, social worker, and art teacher. My husband, David, is the CEO at a capital investment firm. He has also worked in hospitality for many years-which included the development of five national brand chains. We are seeking responsible, vaccinated, non-smoking, dog loving sitter/s to care for our sweet Goldendoodle Frankie(girl) in the comfort of our home. I am also a Trusted house/pet sitter. Whatever information you don’t find here may be available in my sitter profile.

We live in Andover, Kansas, a quiet suburb of Wichita, in a family friendly neighborhood. It’s complete with friendly neighbors, walking trails, tennis court, small park, and a community pool. Our home is a generously-sized six bedroom, five bathroom ranch with a landscaped dog-friendly yard. It’s equipped with a harm-free invisible fence. The main floor is primarily all that we use now. It has the master bedroom and the guest bedroom--which is also a master. It has an ensuite bathroom [equipped with both a shower and soaking tub] a 55" television and the strongest wi-fi in the house. There are the usual essentials within a few miles from our home: YMCA, grocery stores, parks, churches, restaurants, etc. If we happen to have a car at home while we’re gone AND your driving record is clean, you can use it to travel locally. You can also store your car in our garage.
Show more...Responsibilities
Feeding twice daily. A morning walk in our neighborhood which usually runs about 45 minutes long. My husband usually does this twice a day, with a shorter second walk-depends on the weather. Interactive play in the yard is a good substitute activity for the afternoon walk. She’s a snuggler. Frankie is fed twice daily. Snacks throughout the day. Like most dogs nowadays, Frankie is a pandemic dogs and use to around-the-clock human company. We would not want her left for more than 2-3 hours at a time. Trash needs to be rolled out Wednesday evening for early Thursday morning pick up. Most times, the house/pet sitter dates can be flexible. Often times, plane tickets or David's work may make this less flexible. Ideally we would like the sitter to arrive the night/day before we leave and stay till we arrive. We can accommodate special circumstances and certainly welcome an additional nights stay as needed.

Jing and David were very good at communicating and clear with expectations. Frankie is a sweet dog who just started her chemo. She did really well while we were with her. David picked us up from the airport, allowed us to use his car, and Jing left plenty of food for us. Their home is lovely and they were kind enough to allow our granddaughter and daughter to visit. We highly recommend this sit and would love to return.

Unfortunately Wichita had the coldest winter cold snap in 34 years!!!! So were were snowed in and were limited in our outdoor time with running and playing. Frankie was the sweetest girl and a very active, 65 lb, 4 year old Goldendoodle. She made for a great foot warmer in the cold weather! Frankie is also very strong and she jumps up a lot so be advised, her pet sitters must be physically strong and familiar with large rambunctious dogs that pull heavily when being walked. Because we were snowed in and therefore unable to get out and run around this was a big part of her anxious behahvior and that was beyond her control being shut in for days! Jing was very kind and helpful in making sure I was well stocked with food and snacks. I was unable to actually get out to a store so I really appreciated that. We also spoke daily on the 2 doggies antics during lockdown and beyond! (Frankie and my dog). I was thankful that jing allowed me to be able to bring my dog with me and it was very helpful that the dogs could entertain each other running around in their large house while shut in from the weather. I do hope to go back there someday (but only in warmer weather) and I really enjoyed my sit with Frankie!!!
