Comfortable SW Minneapolis house sit with an old hound Bonnie and energetic pup!
Introduction
We are a family who loves to travel and often visit family out of state. We regularly have house sitters stay at our house, but have not yet had sitters for our newest puppy. Our older dog is very used to the concept.

We have a three bed three bath home with a good bit of extra living space. Owner suite has a king sized bed + sitting area w/gas fireplace. Main floor guest bedroom has a queen bed. Kids bedroom has a twin over twin bunk. There is a finished basement with a family room, office, and third full bathroom. Sleeps up to four adults + 2 kids in beds. Can also provide an air mattress if needed. Our home is on a nice block that backs up to a busy business district in SW Minneapolis with several restaurants, a coffee shop, groceries, and a great trail system all within a 5 minute walk. It does not bother us, but you will hear some traffic outside. Only 15 min from the airport, downtown, mall of america, and many more great areas of the Twin Cities. A car would be recommended but not completely required as transit (city bus) is less than a block away and it's easy to uber around. *Stairs are unavoidable for our home as there are steps leading up to both the front and back doors, and the home has living space on 3 levels. **Please note that we are not comfortable with having extra pets along with our human sitters.

We’ve recently (July 2024) adopted a new puppy Clover (born April 2024). As of mid July she is doing well with house training and we expect it to be done very shortly. The puppy is crate trained but needs caretakers who are able to help her release some energy through 2-3 walks a day and play inside and out. Clover has an older sibling Bonnie (11 yrs) to help teach her how to be a chill dog but she’s still learning. Bonnie has free roam of the house and is very calm after first introductions. Looking for a sitter(s) who can meet both needs. We have some houseplants that we'd like to keep alive. Some instructions for those will be included. We live in a northern climate and need to keep up with snow shoveling if it snows. We have shovels and snowblower if needed.

Sitting for Bonnie was such a treat - she is so easy-going! She is such a sweet dog. I also really appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtfulness of Matthew's guidance for the sit. I felt welcomed and comfortable in their home - which was an absolute dream to watch and take care of!

Wonderful hosts, beautiful and clean house, and 2 low-maintenance loving dogs; we highly recommend this sit with Matt and Madeline! Communication was easy and thorough, with all the information provided for a great stay. Their house is very clean and organized - it felt like an Airbnb experience with beautiful decor and cozy vibes. Bonnie and Clyde are sweet and loving, well mannered, and just very chill pups. Amazing sit all around!

Wonderful, relaxing sit! Matt and Madeline were super organized, welcoming and experienced, with a thorough House Guide. The home is magazine beautiful and spotless. Bonnie and Clyde could not be sweeter! They are gentle, loving, laid back, and easy to love. Bonnie hides out in her "den" , and Clyde follows wherever you go. The area is very walkable and can easily be done without a car in summer. Highly recommended! Thank you Matt and Madeline!

Bonnie and Clyde were a joy to care for. Very loving and easy going. The house was so clean and organized that it was an oasis. The neighborhood was convenient and lovely, with a grocery store within walking distance. This entire sit was a treat!

Matt and Madeline have two wonderful dogs and a lovely, comfortable house in a nice neighborhood in Minneapolis. It was really easy to communicate and work with them. They were very considerate about scheduling and making us feel at home. They are well organized, left us with great instructions and a sweet gift of wine and chocolate. Bonnie and Clyde were affectionate and easy to take care of. This is a wonderful sit.
