Introduction

We live in a lovely apartment in a gated community in nether edge, sheffield with our rescue cat, Gatsby. Dee works in healthcare and Jake runs a business, working from home. We’re both very active and enjoy our Peak District proximity. Gatsby is a rescue cat from the sheffield cat shelter, they believe he was a stray, approximately 3 years old. They neutered him and he has now been living here for 4 years. He’s the king of the house and sleeps on the bed and has free roam of the place. He’s taken some time to really settle and he doesn’t like to be left alone as it really unsettles him, which is why we decided to join this website. We’ve had many many successful sits and Gatsby is very affectionate with new people. We need a cat sitter as Gatsby is very sociable and misses us when we go away. He’s chatty, really loves playing and enjoys a good cuddle. He likes to pretend he’s hungry ALL the time but sometimes a cuddle or playtime will suffice! He loves to be in the same room as you, and will sometimes follow you around until he’s got to know you. He’s adorable and super affectionate. He used to be a bit of a bruiser and has been known to come home with various injuries, and has had to visit the vet a few times because of this! However, this seems to have stopped now…. Hopefully.
