Gorgeous Home - Gorgeous Dogs
Introduction
Hi, I am a professional speaker so I travel a lot. I teach business, entrepreneurship and personal development. I have been a dog lover since I was 3 years old. I actually had my last house in England built mainly because of my previous two Jack Russels so they would have a lot of room to play in. That should tell you everything. lol. Though now I have moved to the sunshine, much to the approval of the dogs :-)

My girlfriend and I recently moved to a wonderful new home in Tenerife with our dogs. It's a beautiful and quiet area with wonderful natural parks. It is also near local restaurants and shops. There is a master bedroom, one guest bedroom, a gym and a meditation room and an office. The house is fully secure with private underground parking (for 3 cars) and also has fibre internet and wifi throughout plus a 80inch 4k TV with over 1000 channels including the latest movies, all live sports and ppv etc.

Jack Russels require a lot of exercises and these two are no exception. Two walks a day (Morning and evening) will drain their battery. The morning will require taking them out (there are several routes and nearby I can show you). It is useful to think of having a car both for yourself and the dogs (they have doggie seatbelts which is law in Spain.) The cost of hiring a car for a week is about the same price as a return taxi from the airport which I live 15 mins from. The dogs also love people and attention and have none of the aggression of typical Jack Russels (they even run away from chihuahuas, it's embarrassing lol). They need feeding twice a day and I implement a strict raw food diet which is followed with fully prepared food and scales provided. The dogs are 4-year-old twins, inseparable and both are exceptionally well trained. They have a large vocabulary of over 30 words, half of which are backed up with hand signals. You don't have to learn them all, it's just to demonstrate that you can actually talk to them and they are both intelligent and highly obedient. I am a great believer that the amount of time you invest in a dog during the first 6-months to a year, will pay you back for the next 15. I therefore put a LOT of training in with these guys and it has paid off very well. I have never used a lead with them as they are on a verbal lead and respond instantly to command. However, leads can be supplied and should be used if walking near roads, at least until you have confidence in using commands and they are used to taking them from you etc. They love to play, will sleep next to you if you let them, and love company and attention. Archie in particular will be happy for you to throw the ball all day if you let him. In short, they are no trouble and amazing friends and companions and the most common feedback I get is they are the most enjoyable dogs people have ever looked after.

Archie and Bella have to be the most affectionate, intelligent and best behaved dogs on the planet! Peter has invested so much time and energy on training these guys and it really shows. They are a pleasure to look after and a joy to have around. Peters house is in a lovely area of Costa Adeje and has everything you need for a great stay including a lovely communal pool which you pretty much have to yourself. You can easily walk to shops, restaurants and the gorgeous promenade which stretches along the beach for miles. We walked there every day with the dogs and as they are so well trained most of the restaurants were happy to accommodate us for dinner while Archie and Bella sat quietly at our feet. Peter was great at keeping in touch and made sure we had all the information needed for a successful sit. He’s a warm and interesting guy with an inspirational zest for life and the bond he has with Archie and Bella is very special indeed. It’s a sit we won’t forget and would highly recommend.

We have mixed emotions about this sit. On one hand it was one of the best house sits we've had the pleasure of doing...on the other hand, when we left, we had to say goodbye to our two new best friends, Archie and Bella! Peter has put so much love and training into these two Jack Russel's and you can instantly tell...they are so loving, well behaved and beautiful and an absolute pleasure to be around, I will stop myself there as I could talk about them all day! Peter made us feel instantly at home and there is such a positive energy in him and his home, he showed us some incredible places to cycle/walk with the dogs...I never expected Leicester to home such beautiful locations and to think my family would pay a fortune to go to Centre Parcs, it felt like we were on a health retreat for the week we stayed. I would highly recommend this sit if you are good at not getting too attached to amazing dogs. In fact, if you are, I'd still highly recommend this sit, as I wouldn't trade the time we spent with them for the world! Thank you so much for everything Peter! I'm sure you get this all the time but you really have inspired both of us!
