Quiet country retreat

Introduction

My mom and I live with our two dogs and cat in my grandmother's Colonial house on 2 ½ acres near the middle of a small New England town known for its Christmas Festival in early December. We have one bedroom available, full kitchen, living room and study.  The dogs are both 12+ years old, love treats and going out into the yard. The kitty is also 10+ years old. We need a faithful sitter when we go out of state to visit family, comfortable with an old house and seeking a quiet country setting.

Home & location

Beautiful historic 1780 colonial home across from a pond with a large yard and access to trails. Sitter will use the guest bedroom at the top of the stairs on the left and has access to the all downstairs areas (kitchen, living room, study, bathroom). Tons of beautiful nature trails in the area (need a car mostly) as well as some restaurants and cafes we can recommend. Many thrift stores and antique shops in the area as well.

Jiggle the handle after a minute if it is still running to get it to stop (it can drain the pipes if it runs too long)
