Enjoy Christmas immersed in nature in Irelands Eden!
Introduction
**Before diving in, just a heads up that you'll require your own transport to house sit for us as there are no buses & trains to the house. Whether you have your own wheels or arrange for a hire car, please do make sure you have transport before applying - thanks so much!** My partner Adam & I spend the Summer months running a busy B&B, Glamping experience as well as hosting edible garden tours & events. For the rest of the year we design edible gardens across Munster. We take a month out at the end of the Summer to re-charge our batteries before getting stuck into re-imagining other peoples gardens. We need a house sitter to look after our 8 hens, 2 guinea fowl, 9 ducks & 1 cat while we're away aswell as watering the houseplants.

This was our first house sit and we consider ourselves very lucky to have had such an excellent experience. Kloe and Adam were warm and considerate hosts and are extremely kind people. Their communication with us was prompt and helpful throughout the stay but in no way overbearing. They treated us well and interacted with us very thoughtfully throughout our stay. Most recently though, they were both patient and generous when they arrived home, inviting us to stay for another night when they might have appreciated having their own space back. They showered our daughters with gifts and attention and made them feel very special. It was a privilege to look after their off-season B&B/homestead, John the Cat and their collection of fowl. Our children enjoyed a wonderful experience, where they had fun at the same time as learning from their interaction with the animals and plants. Kloe and Adam left us with their trap camera to play with and we were lucky enough to capture footage of several deer and a red squirrel! The grounds, gardens and managed woodland are magical and fascinating for anyone interested in edible gardens, sustainable living, rewilding or future-proofing the natural environment to cope with climate change. The local landscape is stunning: the Woodland Nature Reserve is on the road to the quaint village of Glengarriff and it’s stunning bay, complete with pretty islands and large grey seal colony. We really appreciate the time we spent at Tooreen and the opportunity that Kloe and Adam offered to our family.
