Hi, We invite you to come and stay in a charming village in the GERS, with our cat gang ! We have 4 cats Lilly, Piggie, Hazel and Sid, plus a tortoise . The cats Adore company and love sitting with you on the patio. We have various plants in pots outside and inside, both need watering when sunny ! My husband is retired and I work via the internet for an estate agent. When we travel, we need someone to house and pet sit.

We moved into our home at the end of September 2023, and have been busy updating it, it is now ready to enjoy ! It is in the small village of SAINT-PUY (32310). The village has 2 restaurants, Bakers, general store with post office, clothes shop. The closest small towns are Valence-sur-Baïse and Castéra-Verduzan and the large towns of Lectoure , Fleurance and Condom - all are a joy to discover. The area is rural, and there are many intereting villages/towns /gardens/SPA baths to discover. the house is accessed by a few small steps , and the living area is all on one level . We are now working on the garden, from the patio we have a lovely view over the front garden and then the countryside.

We would need help to look after the animals, the cats just need their breakfast and dinner, and fussing ! the tortoise just needs her mid day feed of suitable food and a warm bath every few days- We have house plants and pot plants in the courtyard and quite a few in the garden that need watering.

We are very grateful to Liz and Mick for entrusting us with the care of their lovely home and huge garden with lots of gorgeous trees and plants, veggie patch with delicious pumpkins, courgettes, tomatoes, figs, quinces etc. Last but not least sweet doggie Hubble, adorable cats Hazel and Lilly and turtoises Anna and Winnie. Liz and Mick were gracious hosts who are well used to sitters, organised and able to provide clear instructions for the care of their house, garden and pets. Communication before and during the sit was excellent. They gave us a very warm welcome into their stunningly beautiful home and then took us for a tasteful dinner in a lovely restaurant. They also gave us plenty of advice and information about the routine of Hubble, Hazel and Lilly, their likes and dislikes. Hubble is 14 years old now, completely deaf and does not like being left alone for long periods. But this was not a problem as there is plenty to explore very nearby. We visited picturesque, photogenic villages like Sauveterre, Sorde-l' Abbaye, Salies de Bearn. Saint-Palais and the famous market in Peyrehorade on wednesdaymorning. All three are extremely well behaved. They are very sociable and affectionate and we loved that either one of all of them would be with us wherever we happened to be in the house or the garden. They are truly loved and cared for by Liz and Mick and were a pleasure to take care of. Hubble and Hazel slept in our bedroom at night, which was no trouble at all. The accommodation is in a recently renovated farmhouse, which is in turn a very comfortable, spacious family home, surrounded by glorious countryside and vineyards. The property sits on a hill with wonderful views and a welcome breeze. We spent most of the time relaxing with Hubble, Hazel and Lilly. This is a lovely, unspoiled part of France and there are plenty of pretty villages and natural areas to visit. We loved our time in Bellocq, would highly recommend this sit to anyone and we would happily return.

Elizabeth and Mick are the most welcoming and warm people you'll ever meet, we cannot recommand you enough to go housit for them if you have the chance! The house is incredibly lovely surrounded by fields and vine, and you'll fall in love with the animals. Hubble, master in puppy eyes, will follow you everywhere, with Lilly and Hazel the very friendly cats not far away. We loved every minute of this sit!
