Bude, Cornwall, one lovely cat and a super soft dog
Introduction
Hi, my name is Victoria. I live in beautiful Bude with one older gentle lovely cat, Magwitch, and Agatha - Dame Agatha Christie in formal settings! - is a super sweet, older, round, lady dog. She is very easy going, sleeps a lot, and just wants to know she is loved (who doesn’t?!). Sometimes she will be included in the house sit, but mostly not. I live in Stratton-Bude, North Cornwall. My house is 1.5 miles from the beach.

I live in a 3 bedroom semi detached house (1970s council build - not that pretty on the outside, but very decent sized rooms and garden). Two of the bedrooms are doubles, the third, small room, has a bunk bed (quite often occupied by my furry companions). It has a good size private garden, with decking and garden furniture. Mobile signal and Wi-Fi strength are good (not always a given in Cornwall!). The house is located in Stratton, Bude, and is 1.5 miles from Summerleaze Beach. There is also Crooklets Beach (just under 2 miles) and Widemouth Bay beach (well within 5 miles). Bude has a canal, a nature reserve walk, lots of clifftop walks and lots of lovely places to eat and drink.

Magwitch likes dry food, a couple of wet food sachets, and water, and a stroke, he loves some attention. He has not worked out the cat flap, or is scared he will get wedged (I like my food and I empathise!) so is often to be found loitering at either the front or back patio doors to be let in/out. There are water stations both downstairs and upstairs and litter trays in the small bedroom. Agatha is an absolute cutie, good on the lead, or off, loves food, loves a short walk, loves a fuss and a sleep (she’s my spirit animal!). She is rarely on the house sit but I am mentioning in case she is. I have quite a few house plants which, should I be away for a week or more, I would love to have watered if possible.

It was a real pleasure to look after The dame, Agatha herself as well as Magwitch. Two gentle pets who are very easy going and loving. We enjoyed taking Agatha for short walks however she was happy enough relaxing in her home. Magwitch would come and go as he pleased but enjoyed a cuddle here and there. They were fantastic with the children. It was lovely to get the chance to meet Victoria who made sure we well acquainted with the house and the pets. She was very kind to us. Communication was excellent. Victoria’s home was very cosy and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location was perfect and we loved being able to easily pop into Bude and particularly swim in the sea pool. If we had the chance to do this sit again we would not hesitate. Thank you Victoria.

Magwitch is a lovely cat, very friendly and affectionate and easy to look after. Victoria was easy to communicate with, and her house is very cosy, with lots of interesting artwork and little things to look at, and a short drive to the beach and centre of Bude. We had a lovely few days despite the rain!

Victoria is such a warm and welcoming person, she made everything really easy for me and I felt really comfortable in her house. Her animals are adorable, good company, very accepting of new people and routines, and easy to look after. I loved this sit, the house, the area, the welcome, the animals, all of it was great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I had a great time looking after Victoria’s cats. They both had unique personalities and were no trouble at all. Mr. M took his insulin injections without any issues. The home was comfortable and everything I needed was provided. It was a very enjoyable sit and I would love to be invited back again if possible.
