3 easy going cats in the suburbs of Atlanta

Introduction

Hi! I am Dana and my husband is Jeff. We live in Lilburn, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta, near Stone Mountain. I am a retired educator and my husband is a semi-retired real estate appraiser. Since retiring we are trying to get out and travel as much as we can, mostly in the US, as we have family all over the country. We have 3 adorable cats- Mina, Romeo and Halo. Mina is our only cat who stays inside, the other 2 love to go in and out, and in out!!

Home & location

We have a two story Colonial home with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Our kitchen is recently renovated with quartz counter tops, stainless appliances and most everything you would need if you enjoy cooking! You can eat at the kitchen table overlooking our backyard or at the island on the bar stools. A sitter is welcome to stay in any of the bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king size bed with updated en suite bath with a lovely soaking tub! Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the other is a double. The three guest rooms share a bath. We have a lovely in ground pool with a dining area, gas grill, 2 couches to relax on, and a sun deck to catch some rays! Pool floats complete the fun! We are approximately a 10 minute drive to Stone Mountain Park where there are lots of activities. Here is a link to the park: https://stonemountainpark.com/ Grocery stores are very close- Ingles 1 mile, Kroger 1.6 miles, Publix 1.8 miles Downtown Lilburn is very cute with a nice park and walking trail. They often have concerts in the park. There is a lovely restaurant in town- 1910 House.

Responsibilities

Our cats, (like most), are very easy going, with a minimal amount of care needed. Two of them, Halo and Romeo, like to go outside in the morning and again in the evening. Mina does not go outside at all. The cats wake fairly early and 'demand' food- even though there is generally food in their bowl, they just want more on top! Their litter boxes (2) should be cleaned daily, with the area around it swept of stray litter. The cats sleep most of the day (and night!) and sometimes we don't see them until late afternoon. But if you are watching TV or sitting, they may jump up for a snuggle. If we don't get a lot of rain the plants in the pots outside may need to be watered.
