Introduction
Retired life has given us the freedom to explore our surroundings. We love a good road trip, while Pepper usually joins us, Ernie our ginger cat has a different idea of the perfect life. He enjoys roaming about the yard and sleeping on the patio furniture. Our home is small but freshly renovated and easy to live in as well as outdoors. We would like to share our comfortable home and the many amenities that come with it.

The best thing about our little house is the proximity to the water with the views to the east. Sunrises over the water are stunning. Walking around the hood and across the causeway to Mackworth Island is a must do. Our updated house has two bedrooms. The main has an en suite with steam shower and jetted tub. The second bedroom has a bathroom adjacent to it. The kitchen is spacious with an induction cooktop, convection/microwave oven and a conventional wall oven. Enjoy the sunshine through the south facing windows in the living room or shade on the north facing back patio. We enjoy easy access to Portland and all there is to see and do there.

It was fantastic housesitting and taking care of Lily and Ernie! They are great cats! Ernie liked to go out at night and would return in the morning. Lily was a homebody who stuck around. They would both would hang out with me as I was working remotely. Lily liked to play with her toy and Ernie loved eating! They were a joy to take care of and I would definitely go back! The house was close to a cove and Mackworth Island which you could walk around. The interior of their home is spectacular. Kathy and Ned showed me around the house and are wonderful hosts! It was a great place to stay! I loved it! It was a beautiful setting and I highly recommend if you have a chance to housesit here to do it!
