House sit near DC and care for 2 loving cats with use of car

Hi there! Apryl and I (Tony) live in Annandale Va, about 12 miles south of DC and were looking for some one to watch our two sweet cuddly cats while we travel for a couple weeks. I have fish that if you can, can be fed 1-2x day 1 cube of food you drop in a feeder. If not, they also have an automatic feeder that will take care of them without touching them.

We have a 2 bedroom, (both with Queen size beds and TVs) and an office, 2.5 bath, 1700 SQFT townhouse with 3 levels, including a finished basement. You would stay in one of the bedrooms upstairs next to your own bath. You would be able to use our car, a Toyota Corolla. You will have access to the whole house including laundry. We have a good size kitchen with everything you would need. There is a small deck with a gas grill and a patio with table and chairs and a hammock out back. We have Gigabit Fios internet connection you can connect to via cable or Wi-Fi throughout the house. A 65in large screen TV with Sling, Netflix, Prime and more. An Xbox and a Nintendo switch is connected to that TV in the living room. TV in bedrooms have a Amazon Fire with all the same steaming options. We are 12miles south, 20-30 min from the sights in downtown Dc, including the Whitehouse, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and a variety of museums.

You will need to give pets, cuddles, give treats, change the water, play with our two cats and clean the litter daily. Punkin is a bit shy at first but will come out of that with treats and pets. She has a lot of energy and likes to play with the wand daily. Mosby is a lap cat, and requires pets, and he will ask to be picked up. Punkin once she gets settle will also sit in your lap. They will need treats daily. We have an automatic feeder so they get fed on their own but may need to be refilled 1x while we’re gone. They have a water bowl that will need to be refilled daily. Their litter box is in the basement and will need to be cleaned daily. Mostly play, pets, cuddle and treats. No medication. I have a fish tank thats fantastic to watch while eating dinner. They like a treat daily if your willing, just plop a cube in the feeder and it does the rest. If not, they have automatic feeders so you don't have to touch the tank. Bring any packages in and get the mail couple times a week. We would love for you to arrive a day early so we can show you what needs to be done and the routine and stay a day after, just to make sure our flights get us home. We will be leaving on 28 Sep returning Oct 12.

Our Housesit at Mosby & Punkin’s home was a real treat. They are truly amazing, loving, and every possible superlative imaginable, all wrapped into a beautiful package. Tony & Apryl are super nice, and great hosts. Their communication was great from beginning to end. They picked us up & dropped us off at the airport, and cooked a delicious dinner upon arrival. We were able to arrive early to get acquainted with and learn about the fur babies as well as Tony and Apryl. This was the first sit where we had fish in 2 saltwater tanks to care for. Tony has a nicely organized routine and system in place for the fish tank and explained everything in detail. It was enjoyable to watch the colorful fish each day. Their home is practically new in a lovely neighborhood close to restaurants and groceries, etc. The house was spotless and very comfortable. Thank you for having us take care of and love on your furbabies! XO

Punkin and Mosby, I miss you! I had a fabulous time hanging out with these two darling kitties while Tony and Apryl were away in Italy. They were so easy to take off, and extremely affectionate. Mosby warmed up to me immediately upon my arrival, and Punkin became my best buddy within a day! Tony and Apryl were easy to communicate with, and responsive to all my questions. They left clear instructions about everything, and I appreciated that very much. They have a lovely home that any house sitter would be lucky to stay in. I would gladly return in the future. Highly recommended!
