Beautiful tranquil retreat from the world WITH cats as a bonus

Hello, I need you to give my dear little cats a warm and comfortable winter in their own home. They are street cats who decided to live with me about four years ago and so I need to make sure they do not feel abandoned while I am travelling this winter from November 2024 to February 2025.

The house is south facing so gets sunshine all day. It is spacious, light and comfortable. Downstairs is a large open plan kitchen, dining, salon with large sliding windows out to the pool terrace. There is also a entry way with a private toilet. Upstairs there are two large light and comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms all fully furnished. The house has all modern conveniences including wifi, télévision and streaming apps, Amazon Alexa for music and a large log burner for heating the whole house. Sitters will need to live in the house so that the cats can come and go as they please but they do not take up too much time so your days will be free for you to use as you wish. The cats need to be inside at night and sleep with me, so I hope the sitter will not mind cats in their bedroom. The village has a bar and restaurants as do the surrounding villages all within 10 minutes drive. The Pyrenees are close by and skiing day trips are easily achievable. The countryside is mainly flat but with rolling hills in some parts so is excellent for cycling, running and walking. Lake Jouarres and the Canal du Midi are also close by if you like winter walks or sports near water. Narbonne plage is just 30 minutes away. There are supermarkets within 10 minutes drive and a boulangerie in this village although the one in the next village is slightly better.

The cats are the focus of the responsibilities. They have a bottomless bowl of croquettes available 24/7 which is replenished as necessary during the day and before bed. They also get 2 or three sachets of meat with sauce during the day on demand. Sometimes they will ask for it first in the morning, sometimes they won’t eat until lunch time and then in the evening. I guess it depends on whether they have hunted that day. Princess Zebulon also likes special croquets which she will demand during the day. Their eating habits are a bit erratic but they will tell you what they want. The house needs to be kept warm for the cats and the sitter. Heating is by way of a log burner which can be kept going 24/7 if required. All fire starting necessities including wood and kindling will be supplied for the whole period of house sitting. There are many pots of plants in the garden. Depending on whether there has been enough rain the pots and garden will need watering at least once a week. That can be done all at once or on a rolling programme of the sitter’s choice. The mail will need to be collected from the letterbox everyday and photos sent to me of anything that is not junk Mail. There will not be much of this but there may be a household invoice that I will need to pay.
