Beautiful house in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
Introduction
We are a couple in their fifties that live in the centre of a small town in a very popular wooded area in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Very suitable for long walks in the woods, cycling trips in the area, outdoor living or visiting smaller historical towns nearby . During the summer life is busy, during the fall it is a more quiet town. We are going away for three weeks mid October and need a cat-loving house sitter who is up for peace and quiet yet located at a stone’s throw from the local bars and restaurants. We have a nine year old male cat who is very friendly and easy to look after, he’s used to entering and leaving the house on his own, we don’t want to leave him alone for that long.

Our house was completely renovated in 2022-2023. On the ground floor there is an open kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, steam oven, induction hob) with dining area, living area, separate toilet and utility room (washing machine, dryer, freezer etc). On the first floor (one staircase up) there are two bedrooms (double beds 1.80x2.00 and 1.80x2.10), one bathroom with bath and separate shower and separate toilet. There is backyard that can be used. Free WiFi, one tv in the living room, one in the master bedroomThe house is on the edge of the city centre of a small town, shops, bars and restaurants are within short walking distance. Ommen is known for its beautiful old woods, river the Vecht, cycling options during the summer the city is booming with tourists, in the winter it is a lovely tight knit community. Friendly neighbours if you need help, yet privacy is guaranteed.
