Will you be Zoë’s favorite human while we’re away? Maine coon looking for sitter
Introduction
We are David (English, 50) & Hester (Dutch, 39) and we are happily living in the Auvergne together with our cat Zoë and dog Lady. David works as an electrician and Hester works remotely as a customer happiness expert. When we’re not working for money, we like to work in our house (it’s never finished), go for walks with Lady, relax in our garden with a book or puzzle, make campfires or - if it’s raining - play on the Xbox. We’ve created a nice little “coin paradis” for ourselves here and we absolutely love our home, but we also like to go out and explore the rest of France in our camper van. On short trips Zoë comes along, but sometimes we feel it’s better for her to stay at home. That’s why we’re occasionally looking for a sitter to take care of our beautiful girl, and our home.

We have a lovely home on the French countryside. It is a freestanding house with two bedrooms and a big garden (completely fenced) with a (small) pool, terrace and hammock (for all of your relaxing needs). The house is situated in a tiny hameau with six houses. The neighbors (French and Dutch) are nice people who like their quiet life on the countryside. The environment is perfect for hiking/walking/cycling/mountainbiking, with trails starting directly from the garden. We have one mountainbike and one road bike available to use. At 5 mins by car (or 15-20 mins by bike) you’ll find Pionsat, a village with all the commodities you need: super market, restaurant & cafe, pharmacy & doctor, post office, fuel station, and a bank. The nearest big town is Montluçon at 40 mins by car. Our house is perfect if you - like us- enjoy the calm, green and space of the French countryside.
Show more...Responsibilities
Zoë is not a cat who sits on your lap all day, but she very much likes to be around the people and interfere with what you’re doing (working, reading the paper, puzzling; she’ll be there to assist). She also likes: snoozing and receiving treats. She gets breakfast in the morning and has kibble available all day. She has a cat flap, so there are no doorman duties required. She doesn’t need to be brushed. Long story short: she is quite low maintenance. She just likes company. Zoë is used to having a dog around and is also used to the occasional doggy guest. A non-crazy dog is very much welcome to stay (we do have neighbors so dogs that bark a lot will be an issue). Other than taking care of Zoë we would expect a sitter to take normal care of the house and water the plants. If you like gardening, feel free to work your magic in the garden.
