Responsibilities

Frisco requires minimum of 2 x 30 minute walks per day though he has high energy levels and can easily go longer. He is well socialised with people and other dogs. He is still a puppy and learning all the time but he makes for amazing companionship. We keep him on lead in urban areas, which he doesn't like (we use a halti to stop pulling) but great off lead in parks, woodland, beaches etc. Being a dog, there are a few house rules to follow and he is generally obedient. His breed requires a firm but fair hand and he benefits from lots of positive reinforcement. He is fed 3 times per day though we don't follow a strict time regime (roughly 0700-0900, 1200-1400 and 1800-2000). Frisco makes for relaxed company in the evenings and sleeps very well (typically 1000-0700 or thereabouts). He sleeps in his den under the staircase. Pebble is 8 years old and very much an outdoor cat. A bit wary of newcomers though he soon gets used to people. We feed him on a timer-tray overnight as he likes a nocturnal meal but otherwise he is low maintenance. He loves relaxing on our sofa and if you're lucky, he'll invite you to rub his belly. After being a bit put out by the arrival of Frisco, he is now quite tolerant of him. Our 5 rats are very low maintenance. They simply need their water changed daily and fed only once per day. They can be handled if you are confident but this is not essential. They are quite affectionate and if nothing else, they are a lot of fun to watch. We of course keep our cat out of the way and our dog is oblivious to their existence.
