We’re Steve and Colleen. We are recently retired and are looking to travel for periods of one to three months over the coming years. We are seeking a person or persons to live in our house with our dog and cat (and turtles and fish) while we’re away.

We have a large yard with flower, perennial, and vegetable gardens, a patio with koi pond, and a path leading down to Stony Beach. Amenities: • Location on coastal bank 70 ft above sea level • Main level with open-plan living room, dining room, kitchen, and deck. Includes fireplace and grand piano. • Upper level loft bedroom, full bath, and tower with 360-degree panoramic views. • Lower level sewing/crafts room, den with futon, office, full bath, and utility and laundry rooms. My stay with Freeda and Iris (and the turtles) in Steve and Colleen's incredible home was idyllic. Freeda is sweet, calming company and I don't know whether it was her presence, that of the ocean outside, or the warmth and comfort of Steve's home that put me at total ease. Not to short change Iris, who is playful and energetic when Freeda's off napping. Steve and Colleen were great to work with -- they took the time to walk me through everything I'd need for my stay, and made me feel completely welcome in their incredible space. I'd be thrilled to return!

My recent house-sitting experience was nothing short of spectacular. The house is ideally situated, offering incredible views of Boston Harbour. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or enjoy serene walks, this location offers plenty. Steve and Colleen, the homeowners, are exceptionally organised and friendly. Their clear instructions and welcoming demeanour made the entire experience seamless. Thanks to their thorough guidance, walking Freeda, feeding the turtles, and caring for Iris were straightforward tasks. The house is a gem, ideal for remote-working couples like us. It boasts plenty of space and excellent WiFi, making it a comfortable and efficient work environment. The balance of breathtaking scenery and practical amenities created an ideal setting for relaxation and productivity. I highly recommend this sit if you’re considering a house sit that combines natural beauty with modern convenience. It's an opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds in a truly stunning location.

We had a wonderful sit caring for Iris, Freeda, Milo, Quigley, and the fishies! The home was comfortable and perfect for remote work. Location is quiet and peaceful with amazing views. Neighbors were friendly and helpful! Taking Freeda on her daily walks was lovely, and Iris was a total snuggle bug after she warmed up. Turtles were entertaining and easy to care for, and so were the fish. Steve and Colleen were readily available via WhatsApp, and easy to communicate with. Would recommend this sit to others!

We had a wonderful stay at Steve and Colleen's house. This is by far our best THS experience. They were super helpful and caring, always available when we had questions. The house is big, bright, comfortable, full of beautiful plants and well furnished. We enjoyed gorgeous sunset from the garden! The dog, Freeda, is beyond adorable, we became very attached to her and we already miss her. She's a very gentle and well-mannered dog. We loved taking her on walks around Hull, an absolutely peaceful and beautiful place. The cat, Iris, is a lot more shy but still very endearing when she shows up. She's a lovely furball with a cute purr. The turtles are fun and low maintenance, easy to care for, so were the fishes. We thank again Steve and Colleen for this wonderful opportunity!

Lovely people and sweet pets in an astoundingly beautiful place. Five thousand books to read, and ocean views on all sides. Iris the cat likes to sleep on your lap and taps your face with her tiny paw to signal she wants to play. She is thrilled by folding laundry. Freeda the dog wants nothing more than to sleep next to you on the couch. Freeda IS a big girl, and many rabbits live nearby. So you do need to be good at walking a big dog. She’s a lot of fun playing fetch in the fenced yard too. The turtles are remarkably interesting. They look at you! Steve and Colleen left a seventeen page instruction book to answer every possible question. They were immediately reachable when necessary. They introduced us to neighbors in case we needed someone nearby. In short, just great : )
