Come Stay at Hickory and Harvey’s House in Newport!

Introduction

Hello! My partner and I just moved to the east coast from California! We love cooking, traveling, being outdoors, and having people over for board game nights.

Home & location

Our house is right on the edge of Newport with plenty of free private parking, a coffee shop down the block, and a park two streets away. We’re about a mile or so from downtown Newport and a 5 minute drive to the beach. Our house has a spacious kitchen with brand new counters and flooring and a very comfortable couch. We also have a fenced yard with a fire pit and chairs.

Responsibilities

Our puppy Harvey is 6 months old and has been to extensive puppy training. He knows sit, wait, place, leave it, and several other commands. We usually take him to the park two blocks from the house in the morning for around half an hour and in the afternoon around 4pm where he can play with the other dogs in the neighborhood. He sleeps through the night and prefers to sleep in his crate. He eats three times a day and is house trained. He can roam free in the fenced yard and he’ll let you know when he’s ready to come in by pawing at the door. Our cat Hickory is very social and we’re hoping to have someone who can spend time with him, sleep with the door to the bedroom open in case he gets lonely, and play with him several times a day. They would also need to make sure he is eating and pooping regularly as he has had a few incidents of eating things he’s not supposed to when he’s stressed.
