Full time traveling couple wanting to hang out with your cool pets!
Shauna and Craig kept in touch every day with pictures of kitties and how they were doing even though no expectation was set for an update, so they did that of their own accord. They were easy to communicate with and very friendly. House was immaculate when we returned and one of our kitties sheds a lot. They even left us a little gift. We would love to have them return again!

Animals are such agreeable friends. They ask no questions & pass no criticism.
Dawn and Greg were the perfect sitters from the start. We had a great FaceTime with them since they were coming from a different time zone, which immediately put us at ease! We ran into a bit of an issue night one (our fault) and they were flexible, adaptable and SO gracious! Dawn was great about communicating with us, sending pictures and keeping us apprised of how our kitties were doing. We would gladly have Dawn and Greg again.

Caring, Clean and Dependable Traveler Who Would Love To Take Care Of Your Home
Elizabeth was fantastic and we would absolutely have her again. She is a great communicator, checked with us if she wasn't sure, took good care of Lulu, and was overall wonderful.

Not all dog lovers can care for the large breed dogs. You can't just pick them up to fix a problem. And they tend to drool. Betsy was just marvelous with Byron. He likes to get out to walk or ride around in the car. He is a nosy thing. Betsy was able to find his best self. She sent lots of pictures. The house looked the same as we left it. I could not ask for more. We appreciated all she did to allow us to take a vacation without worry.

Digital Nomad Family Looking to Explore
Matt, Kimberly and their two children looked after our Cadence(Goldendoodle) for a little over 3 weeks. They were incredible, my neighbors loved them. I heard someone played the piano very well❤️. They sent us some beautiful photos of our baby being loved by them and the kids. I wanted them to feel at home and enjoy the Hobart 4th of July celebrations and I think they did. I had no stress leaving my home and dog with this beautiful family. The house was perfect when we got back! As if we'd never left, Cadence was in great shape but will miss them for sure. So many thanks to Matt and Kimberly for their kindness and generosity. I hope to see them again.

Majoring in Travelpetology - I look forward to meeting you!
Kristine was great....kind, considerate and great attitude. The cats readily took to her. The house was left in good order. Kept us informed both before the sit and during. Would definitely have her back.

Wanderlust couple who love animals
We could not have asked for better cat and house sitters than Jenn and Ryan! We met them in person before we left for 40 days because that is a long time to be gone away from not only our adorable cat, Wesley, but our home. Our cat literally was sleeping at Jenn's feet by the end of the first hour together during the short "interview visit." They were so great about communicating. In the start of the sit, they asked really great questions and thankfully we had answers for them. They sent us a photo and text surrounding Wesley as soon as they walked into the home. From that point on the communication was efficient, kind, and compassionate. It was evident that though our cat missed us in the beginning, Ryan and Jenn extended so much genuine love and care to Wesley that he was sitting on their work space desk and in their laps once they were in relax mode! Our home was so well-cared for. Very clean upon our arrival back home, including the refrigerator and freezer which could have become a bit untidy after 40 days of two new people using both. The landscaping was watered and our plants overall survived the heat of the summer and the intense wind and rain of tropical stormy Debby that they weathered through here in our home in Tampa, FL. I hope that our cat Wesley and our home continue to enjoy such fantastic care such as the care provided by our most recent housesitters. Jenn and Ryan genuinely seemed to enjoy our home, its spaciousness, and the pool. They never once complained about needing to water so many lovely plants & flowers nor did they hesitate to cover our outdoor furniture to keep it in good condition in spite of the pop-up thunderstorms that we have daily in our area.

Teacher/petsitter dreaming of making petsitting and traveling a reality!
When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.

A great, responsible dynamic lady for your home & furry family member
I have been unsure what rating to give Kristiane. There were a few things I was upset about, but while considering her other reviews, it seems to be an anomaly. She mostly apologized and took responsibility for things she did wrong. She provided good pet care and seemed to enjoy her stay here. I couldn't quite tell if the missteps were her normal character, or if it was because she was going through a hectic period in life. TLDR: She disappointed me at the beginning of the trip, but her pet care was good. She scared me that she gave the pill to the wrong cat. I returned to a dirty home, including literal broken glass, but she went above and beyond in other areas. I'll start by saying we had a pleasant video call and were in fairly constant communication for about a week before my trip. She contacted me probably every day, asking for various details, usually with long voice memos. She appeared to be a good & thorough communicator. I had shifted my departure to the night before instead of the morning of and had explained that my cats would be ok alone overnight, but my cat Willow gets a pill every morning and I would love for her to get her pill ASAP. Kristiane had said she could get there around noon the morning of, which I was fine with. I had said that noon would be pushing it pill-wise, but as long as it isn't much later, that is ok. Because I received constant communication with her leading up to the start of the trip, I was shocked when I didn't hear from her at all the day the sit began, even a "on my way" text. I tried texting and calling her to no avail. I was getting worried that something had happened and I had no way of finding out. At this point, I started to panic a bit because my cat needs her medication. I contacted zeewoi support asking for help. I heard from Kristiane around 2pm. She had chalked it up to having a very busy/hectic morning and said she still had about 2 hours left on her drive (so, 4 hours later than she originally said). I ended up getting a Rover sitter to check in on my cats, feed them, and pill Willow ASAP, which Kristiane offered to reimburse me for. I was thankful she reimbursed me but was confused about how there was so much miscommunication when I thought I had clear expectations. I try to be clear with my expectations of my sitters while still being flexible for normal life mishaps. I would have been less upset if she had notified me of her real ETA when she left (it was about a 4-hour drive) instead of leaving me in the dark. It was not responsible or reliable. Once she arrives, my anxiety is lessened. Things seem to be going well. The next morning, however, she tells me she gave Cherry a pill. Cherry does not get a pill, only Willow does. I have this explicitly stated in multiple places, including my printed-out instructions and the pill bottle itself. Turns out, she got the cats' names wrong. She pilled the correct cat, somehow. Kristiane is an overcommunicator. She sent me several voice memos every morning, sometimes totaling about 10 minutes long. While I appreciate daily updates and don't mind chatting here and there, I am on vacation, and it became annoying to have to leave my friends to listen to the memos. A balance needs to be found. I returned to a dirty home. I spent the first 2 hours after arriving deep-cleaning everything. She broke a glass while she was here (which I ultimately don't care about materialistically) and did not clean it up well. I found about 10 large chunks of glass within reach of my cats. I found out about this mess because my cat was literally playing with a chunk of glass. Every surface Kristiane touched was dirty, smudged, or sticky. There were so many drips and spills and stains, that I was confused about how she managed to make such a mess. However, the litter was done perfectly. All the dishes were washed. Trash was taken out. She did ALL my laundry, including the bedspread (which I don't ask sitters to do). She left me small gifts of tea, chocolate, and ice cream. All of this is to say that it seems her heart is in the right place, but she may need some help with following through. I am wondering if her past 5 star reviews were because she used to sit with her former partner. Maybe that person was the "cleaner" of the two. She was solo this time, apart from a friend visiting and staying with her for one night. I hope my thorough review is good feedback for Kristiane so she can become a better sitter. I feel bad about leaving a complaining review, but I know it is important to have honesty in these reviews so we can all learn for the future.
"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
We literally cannot say enough positive things about Susan and Miranda! They are the best! From start to finish, they did an amazing job communicating with us, giving our 3 (somewhat needy) cats extremely high quality care and tons of attention, and keeping our house clean and plants watered. They took adorable pictures of the cats and sent them to us several times a day, played with them and gave them so much love and affection, and when we got home the house was even cleaner than when we left. We even asked them for some tips on how they were caring for the cats because our cats seemed happier and more relaxed than ever when we returned home to them! This was by far our best cat/house sitter experience to date. We hope Susan and Miranda are available again in the future to sit for us and would invite them back without hesitation.
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your sit. She truly loves animals and taking care of your home. Highly recommended! Thanks Kristine!
Caroline was a fabulous sitter and looked after our cat and the house beautifully. She is sensible and very self-sufficient but also kept us informed. We came home to a happy cat and a tidy house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others and hope she will sit for us again in the future!
Cat and Paul were wonderful sitters - our cats were contented and calm when we returned. And the house was spotless. Plus Paul mowed our entire yard including the back meadow - what a surprise! We very much enjoyed visiting with them as well and getting to know them. Highly recommend :)

So glad I found such an amazing place with great people to watch over my dog when needed. My dog, Kocur, gets so excited when I tell him he is going there. I highly recommend Monkeyshine Kennels for your boarding needs!
I brought my VERY dirty, 80 pound Great Pyrenees in for a grooming for her very first time ever. I didn’t even recognize her when I got her back. Ive never seen this dog so happy and so clean. She’s went from looking like a stray to looking like she should be in a beauty contest. They do such great work for a GREAT price. Thank you so much, my pup thanks you even more! We will be back!
Very friendly and caring place, that does their best to make your dog happy.
We had our husky girls stay with Monkeyshine while attending Ferris State University graduation. They were welcomed very openly and loving. The girls took to the staff instantly. They loved it with them. We would go back if in the area again in the future. Thank you staff at Monkeyshine.
Cooper looks great after his grooming. They did at great job!
Boarded my baby here, and they are amazing caring people! She was happy and had been taken well care of. She even smelled great, unlike many other kennels when I've picked her up, and she smelled and was dirty. Drop off and pick up is seemless, and they have an amazing online reservation service through their website!
Great place for boarding your dog! Great staff. Want to say Thank you to Samantha for taking such great care of our Abby!
We were in the middle of a cross country move and April took great care of our dogs. She worked with us on our shifting schedule, set up visits, kept us updated on their Facebook. Our dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I just booked their 2nd stay.
They treat my dogs really good.. super nice and friendly
Very nice folks with a genuine interest in the care of your furry loved ones. I'll be visiting again.
We were nervous to board our 4 year old anxious dog for the first time but after seeing the reviews for Ruff Life we went to visit. The facility was wonderful and Kate was so nice I felt comfortable leaving our girl for a few nights. We received pictures of our dog while away and she looked SO happy! It made me feel so relieved to know she was having a blast and was getting some attention. She's now back with us and we can tell she had a great time. I totally recommend Kate and her team and we will plan on using Ruff Life from here on out. Thank you!
It was the first time I boarded my dog. I was extremely happy with the entire experience. First of all, the facility is amazingly beautiful and clean. Kate, the owner is exceptionally nice and accommodating. My Kaia loved her. I’ll definitely be taking her back next time we need to board her. 🩵
I am so grateful I stumbled upon Ruff Life. I have a pretty reactive border collie and I needed to find somewhere local last minute and Kate truly welcomed him/us with open and warm arms. She was so considerate and gave Mr. Finn a safe place to stay for the weekend and he did great. I can always tell if he was struggling or is anxious after being boarded, but after picking him up from here, he is actually at peace and I can tell he was so well taken care of😊 And on top of that the place was so clean and Kate was super organized! Definitely looking forward to future stays here. Thank you Kate!!
We need someone to watch Gibby for the weekend while we were off getting married. We usually rely on friends and family to hang out with him while we're out of town, but that's pretty difficult when your go to dog sitter is in the wedding party. I've known Kate personally for a while and remembered seeing that she opened Ruff life a little bit ago. We went online and saw that it was very reasonably priced, for 3 days it was only $90 and for an extra $20 they would give him a bath too. Anyone willing to give Gibby a bath for $20 is a win in my eyes. We could tell Gibby had such a great time. We'll definitely be coming back when we leave for our honeymoon
So pleased with this place. I had a last-minute need for a week's stay for my two rescue doggos. Kate was super responsive, kind and understanding. My dogs do not like to kennel, they sure seemed to be well cared for at pick up. She shared pictures while they were there and in a few she had my dogs giving her kisses. Made my heart smile. Thank you!
Kate is fantastic. This was the first time we've left our boys with someone others than family and Kate helped to calm our nerves. She's got great recommendations from the local vet community and she wears her love for dogs on her sleeves. The facilities were nice and clean and thought was given to the build, the rooms, private outdoor areas, and the play yards. Our dogs had a good time, were safe, and were treated like pets. We'll be back.
Absolutely beautiful place, super clean and very welcoming! Kate is so nice and will make boarding a positive experience for your pet. I was nervous to leave my old, very anxious guy for a week but he did so well here! Usually when we leave him behind he gets very upset, doesn’t eat or sleep well and is on edge when we get him back. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he ate well, didn’t even need to take the anxiety meds we got from the vet “just in case” and he was our same old happy guy when we picked him up! Highly recommend using Ruff Life Pet Resort for boarding/daycare!!
Kate shows so much knowledge, love and care for our dog and all others. She really gets to know their personalities and knows who can be paired with which dog. Our dog LOVES "going to school" and is so happy to run in. In return, the next day he is exhausted from staying with her - so BONUS! The kennel is impeccably clean, well cared for, and I never have any worries when gone during a boarding weekend.
We switched here from a different facility that had just grown too big, too far away, and way too expensive and I'm so glad we did. Ruff Life has really nice kennels with the options for your pup to go both inside and out. The facility is so, so clean and the entryway feels like a home. They're out in a wooded area which means there are a ton of scents for your dog. Our pup came home and slept all afternoon which means he had a good time. We'll definitely use Ruff Life from now on.
Excellent place to board your pup. Kate is awesome, kennels are clean and nice. My normally kennel anxious dog had a blast and played the whole week. Looking forward to boarding with them again soon!
Little Angels is amazing! I would not send my dog anywhere else. Theresa goes above and beyond for the dogs. She loves them like they are her own. I felt super comfortable leaving Poppet with her for over 3 weeks while on vacation. Poppet had such a great time and was super spoiled and loved by her family. Poppet is even in love with her lab, Kylo! I cannot say enough about Theresa. She’s just AMAZING!
Little Angels is the best for our dog. This is NOT a typical kennel or boarding place. The dogs interact and play with the other dogs and family 24/7. Our 75lb Goldendoodle loves coming here. she gets to play with the big and not so big dogs! Photos and videos are sent to us, showing that all is well. I so much appreciate that we found this gem, and don't have to use a traditional boarding kennel.
Theresa loves my dogs!! I would recommend her for your fur babies!! Ollie and Maddie give it five paws!!
We love Little Angels! Our dog knows when we get close to Theresa's house for drop off and he starts whining with excitement. When we pick him up he always wants to stay and runs right back to the front door and tries to go back in the house! Theresa always sends regular updates and pictures of our dog during his stays. We are so happy to have found somewhere our dog has tons of fun and gets so much love and attention.
I have been bringing my dog Georgia Here for over three years. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I feel very comfortable knowing that when I drop her off she is in good hands with people who treat her as they would treat their own pet. Thank you Little Angels Pet Resort for keeping Georgia safe and happy. Every time we turn the corner to get to your place Georgia get super excited!
Edit: because of the review below and giving only a 4 star review, we have been dismissed from this service. We are no longer welcome. I have adjusted my rating to 1 star because of the way this was handled. I do have the DM exchange should anyone want to review further. Rather than working harder to improve to a 5 star rating, we were simply kicked out. Did a meet and greet to see if my pupperoni would be a fit for daycare. A bit chaotic but dogs were all happy and playing. Plenty of kennels inside house for dogs that need a time out. Large fenced in play area. We will be back.
Little Angels is my little guys vacation spot! He loves going there! You will no doubt be able to leave for vacation or a long weekend and not worry at all about your little furry friend as they are having probably more fun than you!
Awesome experience for my dogs! They love the attention and the interaction. Roxy and Henri make 6 stars - Would definitely go there again!
My two dogs had a great time thank you so much
Would give 10 stars! Very accommodating and great with Jade! Great communication. Definitely will be using this place again in the future!
Great place! Great staff! I have a very sensitive dog, and we have boarded and groomed multiple times and she did amazing 👏!! I trust Crystal and know my dog will be safe, loved and well cared for! …
Crystal is the absolute best. Our dogs will never go anywhere else!!!
I love having a small business owner in our area who I trust to take care of my four-legged family members!
Wonderful place and staff my dogs love it there
Rachel kept us up to date with texts, photos, and even a video of our boy running and playing. Leaving our pit made me nervous but Rachel did an amazing job with him. We left him for 7 nights total and in every update he seemed to be right at home. I can't recommend Kona's K9 Retreat enough! We will definitely return in the future!
This was the second time we left our boy with Kona's, and they showed us again why they're our first choice. Rachel kept us in the loop with regular updates and pictures, our pooch had an amazing time, and the price is very reasonable. I can't recommend Kona's highly enough.
Kona’s Retreat was the best! Our dog is like family to us and we hate leaving him due to his high anxiety but Rachel kept in contact with us daily via text and sent us pictures as well! They’d let him play in the fenced in yard and take him …
