I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

Anna was an excellent sitter - she took great care to understand all of the intricacies of taking care of the house and cats, asked lots of questions, and arrived on time and ready for the sit. Nia is a wonderful sitter - punctual, considerate, caring, and tidy, and also a lovely person, who I enjoyed spending time with before and after the sit. While I was away Nia sent photos and videos of my cats Tommy and Arthur every day, with witty updates and observations on their personalities and behaviours, and it was obvious that they adored her. Arthur has a mild neurological problem, so it was particularly reassuring to know that Nia feels especially connected to animals with specific physical or emotional needs, and knowing this contributed hugely to my peace of mind while I was away. Chapeau was treated to daily walks and belly rubs, and my cat Tica was overflowing with contentment from having been taken care of so well. The house was cleaner than I left it and I was treated to a nice note and a lovely candle upon my return. Also, they left a checklist of item that they had done while here. Truly above and beyond!

She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. I have had the most amazing experience with Debbie and the team at Paws and Claws. Finding myself in a very difficult spot and needing boarding for my four cats at very short notice they were able to work with me and accommodate. My life was up in the air and I was desperate to do all I could to keep my fur family together during this difficult period. To say the team there were guardian angels would be an understatement. They went above and beyond to take care of, help and support me and the cats during their stay, what they did to ensure that I was reunited with the cats… was priceless. They are all now with me in the UK, all together again, in no small part thanks to the love and kindness of this team. I am forever grateful!
We went out of town and had to board our boxer. Years ago we boarded her and I won’t mention the kennel, but when we returned she was very sick and it took 6 weeks, with vet bills, to get her back on track. Since then we have always taken her with us on vacation. However, this short get away we did not. I chose Paws and Claws this time to board her. For the “Meet and Greet” I got a full tour with Nala of the facility and a run down of their schedules. The owners even came out to meet me AND Nala. The staff was amazing as well. I got pictures and updates sent daily to my phone. Nala is very attached and not use to other dogs or people but she absolutely warmed up to everyone and we could tell she was content and happy. Their facility even made special accommodations for her. No extra fees for additional potty breaks or play time (she was let out I believe a total of 7x a day). No cages, a large warm kennel with privacy curtains, including a nice long outside run and a huge fenced in play yard. The prices were excellent but it was the people that sold me. Even with the pick up I was greeted again by staff and the owners. You can tell they adore animals and they truly care about your animal having a comfortable transition. Everyone knows how I am over our “special” little girl and I felt good knowing she was with good people. After researching, I found that they exceeded all expectations over any other kennels in our locality. It’s comforting and convenient to have a business like this in Amherst County!

Phil and Debbie are wonderful people and always baby my big, spoiled hound dog! They have a great set up for the dogs so that they have both personal space and outside space to run around and play. They keep cats as well. Your pets will be well cared for at Paws and Claws!
Paws and Claws is the very best home for our pets. I call it a home because this facility is unlike any other kennel I've been too. They are loving, concern for the pet as well as the owners feelings, they give the pets their own sleeping space and a nice run space which they run the animals several times each day. You can't go wrong leaving your pets at Paws and Claws also very affordable. Thank you Paws and Claws for the piece of mind on our vacation.
Our two dogs have stayed there twice now. They seem right at home in their surroundings. Love the access to the outdoor play area. Everyone who works there is caring and it shows when we drop off and pickup our happy pets.
Paws and Claws is like a summer camp or resort for your pets! This was our first time boarding our dogs there. I was so happy I found them. It is a family owned farm and boarding facility (dogs,cats,birds etc). They are the nicest people and very knowledgeable and experienced. The facility is clean and very organized. I am very particular about where I board my dogs. This gave me the peace of mind I needed to be able to go away and enjoy my vacation.They have all the amenities your pet will love and even play soothing music and essential oils at night. They send you a video of your pet playing outside in the huge fenced area every day. They request that you come for a visit with your pet on a day prior to boarding and let your pet explore and get all the info about your pet.Please check out the pawsandclaws website.It is in Amherst Va which is about 30 minutes away for me but worth the drive. We love taking our Great Dane and Golden Doodle to Paws and Claws. The dogs are well cared for and loved on as if they were at home. The facility is top notch and you won't find a better staff anywhere.
Debbie and Phil were absolutely wonderful! It was our first time boarding our dog Lincoln for a long period and we boarded him for 11 nights at Paws and Claws while we went on vacation. We were nervous boarding him for the first time for so many nights, but thanks to Debbie and Phil and their wonderful care, he was right at home!! They cared for our fur baby like he was theirs! He had such a blast playing frisbee, had tons of outdoor time, and received lots of love! He already misses staying with Debbie and Phil at Paws and Claws! This was our first time using Paws n Claws for boarding our dog and I will say that we are extremely happy with Debbie and staff! Jennifer has been taking care of our pets for several years - we absolutely love her!!! Initially she came in daily to check on our cat when we were out of town, we boarded our dog. Our dog is now a senior and doesn't do well outside the home. Jennifer stays overnite in our home when we're away. Our babies love her. She takes care of their every need, she also brings in our mail. The house is immaculate when we get back. Most importantly she truly loves and plays with the pets.
I 100% would recommend using Jennifer and Paw Keepers! Jennifer is amazing! She’s incredible with animals, very professional, reliable, and will work with you to ensure your pets’ needs are met. Whenever we would boarding our dogs at a kennel, they would come home incredibly anxious and sometimes ill. The boarding situation was panic-inducing for all of us. We decided to try Paw Keepers even though we were nervous that our two Aussies can be a bit hesitant around new people. No need to worry! Jennifer is so skilled and I think our dogs could sense that. They loved her immediately! I honestly have never seen them warm up to anyone so quickly! ( My cats loves her too!) Every time we use Paw Keepers we come home to happy and calm pets. It’s also great knowing someone is checking on the house while we are away. Jennifer will rotate lights on in the house, bring in the mail, and take up trash/garbage cans. She sends great updates of what the pets are up to and leaves a visit summary sheet with notes about the visits. And she gave my blind dog her eye drops without worry or additional fee like some kennels. I am so glad we decided to try Paw Keepers and will never go back to a kennel. It's never easy to go out of town and having to leave our fur babies. But Jennifer was wonderful. She spent great quality time with our kitties, put extra bird seed in our feeder out front, wiped down high touch surface areas, and sent a detailed daily update. Communication was fantastic. Even one of our kitt7es that is very shy around strangers allowed Jennifer to pet him. She is so good with our cats. We will definitely use Paw Keepers again and we highly recommend her services.

A few years ago we boarded our dog here during an emergency. When we got her back she was obviously ready to go home but was in good shape/health. The employees were very nice and took her on relatively short notice. She's not friendly with other dogs and they said they would keep her segregated from the other dogs. Was impressed.
