Shirley left eveything as she found it. The cats seemed to do well while we were away.

Ed and Laura were great pet-/housesitters! They were organized and communicative. We returned home to a spotless house, thriving plants, and a happy cat.

Caring, Clean and Dependable Traveler Who Would Love To Take Care Of Your Home
Elizabeth was fantastic and we would absolutely have her again. She is a great communicator, checked with us if she wasn't sure, took good care of Lulu, and was overall wonderful.

Active 38 years old travel Nurse that loves animals, and has a flexible schedule
I would higly recommend Rachel for pet sitting. She took great care of my elderly, highly social cat, who needs extra love and attention in addition to requiring daily medicine in her ears. She handled everything beautifully and sent me great updates throughout the week. I'd definitely invite her to sit for me again!

Skip was great! Very available for communication, sent a couple of kind updates with cute pics of my cat, left the place very tidy, even made up the bed. An all-around happy experience and I'd be delighted to have him back if he wanted!

Digital Nomad Family Looking to Explore
Matt, Kimberly and their two children looked after our Cadence(Goldendoodle) for a little over 3 weeks. They were incredible, my neighbors loved them. I heard someone played the piano very well❤️. They sent us some beautiful photos of our baby being loved by them and the kids. I wanted them to feel at home and enjoy the Hobart 4th of July celebrations and I think they did. I had no stress leaving my home and dog with this beautiful family. The house was perfect when we got back! As if we'd never left, Cadence was in great shape but will miss them for sure. So many thanks to Matt and Kimberly for their kindness and generosity. I hope to see them again.

Teacher/petsitter dreaming of making petsitting and traveling a reality!
When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.

Friendly, Responsible Pet Sitter looking to Travel while Working Remotely
From a pet sitting aspect we were not unsatisfied with Sara. Our dogs seemed happy and our chickens were also tended to well. However, from a house sit I will say we were disappointed with a few things. There was a bad storm the day before we left and we requested some photos of the damage to our property that was done. I asked multiple times and never received what I asked for after saying she would send it. We also agreed to daily updates in form of text or pictures of the animals and I did go the first couple days without reliable communication which didn’t sit well with me. As for the state of the house upon return, while it was mostly clean, one of our curtain rods was ripped from the wall. I wouldn’t have been upset had we just been notified of the repair that needed to be done but she never even told us that she broke anything in the house it was just left. She also very clearly rummaged through our drawers and took brand new unopened toiletries from areas that we did not specify she could use and she never reached out asking if it would be ok to take.

Lindsey was great! She left the house clean and organized and no concerns with that. My dog loved her and it went so well he didn’t have any behavior problems when I got back. Would definitely recommend and have her come back in the future.
This was our first time using zeewoi and we were a little apprehensive, especially as we were going away for almost 5 weeks, but we really didn’t need to be. Mary and Kevin were fantastic from the start. They had excellent communication and put us at ease straight away. They looked after both our cats with lots of care and we came home to two very happy and content kitties. Mary and Kevin struck the balance just right whilst we were away by keeping us informed of how the cats were and sending pictures of what the cats were up to every couple of days. It was so lovely to know that the cats were enjoying themselves and being so well looked after whilst we were away. Mary and Kevin also looked after our house extremely well and we came back to a very clean and tidy home. We would definitely recommend Mary and Kevin to anyone needing a house sitter and would love for them to sit for us again if they were ever back in the area.
I'm delighted to have found Lisa as a sitter and hope to have her back again! She was detail oriented and clearly cared about my cats' well being. She asked good questions about the cats' routines and needs and about the house to be sure she'd meet my expectations and have a comfortable and successful sit. She communicated very well before and throughout the sit and even though I was unreachable for much of the time I was confident everyone was in good hands. Lisa left the house in immaculate condition and the cats were relaxed and happy when I got home. What a delight!
There are not enough words in the English language to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and all the amazing love and care she showed my sweet cat Milo. From the moment she met Milo, I knew there was going to be a very special bond. He instantly relaxed when he first met and already looked so happy and at peace with her. The bond between the two of them only seemed to get stronger and stronger with every day that I was away. This two-week trip was so important for me as it was the first real "vacation" I had taken in a few years. I was in desperate need of a mental and physical break and knew that in order to have a true "time off', I needed to feel completely at peace with Milo being well-taken care of. Well my prayers were answered as Teresa was the "cat whisperer" I was hoping for. I could not have asked for a better, more compassionate, self-reliant, and intuitive sitter ! Teresa was also so diligent in sending me her daily picture and video updates of my cat. With every picture and video I saw, I knew that Milo was so happy being with her and I never worried for one minute while I was away. What a gift ! Teresa was also a serious life-saver for me as literally an hour before I was leaving for my trip, I found out my cat's tracker app was not working and after a few emails and phone calls, we found out the tracker's server was down. Teresa took the initiative to follow up with getting the tracker to work again which was a HUGE stress-relief for me . She is not only wonderfully savvy with animals but also with technology as well ! I feel so fortunate to have Teresa in my life now, not only as an amazing sitter for Milo but also as a wonderful friend for life! Thank you, Teresa for everything.... Milo and I so appreciate you .....
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
We were so pleased to meet John and Trisha! We had them come in a day before we left and enjoyed a nice meal with them and they got to meet Delilah (even if she didn’t seem interested) but she soon warmed up to them - except for the Cat Videos - she wasn’t very interested 🤣 When we returned our home was so clean (probably cleaner than we left it)! We got frequent pics and updates on our Princess! They also left us with a Progress Report with Delilah’s activities and what they did at the house before they left. We would highly recommend John & Trisha if you are lucky enough to have them apply for a House Sitters job! Bill, Kathy & Delilah 🐈⬛❤️
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Toby and Chloe were one of the best house sitters we have ever had! As a small animal vet I have seen many types of pet sitters and these guys are top notch. Our pets are not easy either. We have special needs dogs, cats on medication, dogs with behavioral issues, horses, chickens, goats and a large (100 lb) Sulcata tortoise who needed close monitoring of the temperature in his barn. Everyone was thriving and happy when we came home. They read through the packet and asked thorough, thoughtful questions. They went above and beyond grooming, mucking and grazing the horses and goats everyday. They chopped greens and fruit daily for our tortoise. If we had known how amazing they were we would have booked a 3 week trip instead! Can't recommend them enough.
Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. She is a true animal magnet and lover. I highly recommend Anna to anyone who wants their pets to recieve first class love while away.
If you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies and your house while you're away, Daniel is your guy! I had discovered zeewoi just a couple of weeks before I was to leave on vacation and I was not only apprehensive if the website was too good to be true, but also under a real time crunch. I reached out to over 100 local sitters and several possibilities fell through. I was confident I would find the right sitter and when Daniel applied for the sit and I started to text and converse with him, I knew I had found the perfect sitter for my two cats! Daniel was upbeat and positive, articulate and personable, warm and caring, and he asked all the right questions about Lilly and Eli (I hadn't had the time to complete my Welcome Guide, yet!?!). I shared that I had an easy cat and problem cat -- Lilly, who is sweet, social and eats dry food, and Eli who is skittish, was periodically pooping outside the kitty litter box and was eating prescription canned food twice a day mixed with a probiotic and stool firmer. I asked if he thought he was up for the job and he happily said he was. Since he flew all the was from Chicago, I thought the least my husband and I could do was pick him up at the airport. When he arrived, he pulled out his notebook. He patiently walked with me as I reviewed kitty care, showed him around the house, and where he would be sleeping. He immediately picked up Lilly who was excited about meeting her new friend and Eli bugged out and down the stairs to the basement (his favorite hiding place!). We got Daniel connected to the internet, set him up at our dining room table and headed off to airport, leaving our house and kitties in the best of hands. Daniel wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and assured while we were away. He made sure to text with me every other day (he had asked my preference earlier), sent photos of Lilly being her cute self while Eli hid during the day although he gave me assurances that he was eating his food and using the litter box (there were a few accidents, but Daniel never complained about these additional duties). When we returned from our vacation, the house was also spotless and well cared for and Daniel had even washed the sheets for me! It is with utter happiness and complete confidence that I recommend Daniel as a fantastic Sitter. He is trustworthy, responsible, caring, and competent, and you can rest assured that both your house and sweet pets will be watched over and treated with TLC -- and will truly be in the best of hands while you are away!
Super nice sitters and extremely flexible. Really enjoyed their company and I only regret that I was too frazzled to chat with them more and get to know them! Kept the house super clean, pets loved them. Dog especially. Had a little problem with my new kitten not meshing well with the older cats (which was not too surprising since cats can be territorial). Pennee was very patient and gave me constant updates and tips. And the older cat was much more calm when I came home. Highly recommend and welcome back anytime!

We have used Rustic Retreat for about 5 years and highly recommend it! The owner is very responsive to email or texting, even providing some pictures of our pup while she’s staying there. Our dog is very nervous when we’re separated, and I completely trust Josh to take good care of her and put her at ease. Book early for popular travel weeks!
We have trusted Josh (owner) with our dogs for 5+ years now and we cannot say enough good things about our experience. Not only is he extremely accommodating, but he cares for our dogs as if they are his own. He is also very knowledgeable- often times we reach out to him with questions before our own vet! Our dogs love going to play at Rustic Retreat- it's their own little vacation spot when we are away! I would recommend using his services to anyone.
We have boarded our dog at Rustic Retreat for a few years now and will continue to do so. We have a German Shepherd, and he tends to have separation anxiety, which is common for the breed. We were so pleased to learn, when we first visited Rustic Retreat for a meet-and-greet, that the owner, Josh, is very familiar with German Shepherds. Now our dog is very comfortable when we drop him off for stays at Rustic Retreat. The facility is clean and well maintained. The booking system is easy to use for scheduling stays. Josh is very responsive and easy to work with. I feel at ease knowing my dog is well cared for while we are away.
Rustic Retreat Lodge has been a great experience for our family and our dog. Josh is very helpful, knowledgeable, and takes great care of our dog while we are away. Josh is great with communication and has always been accommodating to our needs. We’ve been taking our dog the past 7 years. We have gone to other boarders in the past and none of them compare to Josh’s care. If you want to take your dog to a place and have peace of mind, then Rustic Retreat Lodge for Dogs is the place for you.
Rustic Retreat kennel owner Josh is awesome with our dog Lacey. We have been using Rustic Retreat for many years now. Our dog Lacey has separation anxiety and he is great working with her and we have comfort knowing she is in good hands. The kennel is very clean and has a large backyard for the dogs to play and get exercise in. Lacey gets a bath before pick up and always smells clean when we pick her up. Great kennel for your loved family dog. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Our dog loves coming here. We have been taking her to Josh for a few years now during the summer when we go out of town. He has a great facility - it is clean and spacious. Booking here is easy through the portal and pricing is reasonable. We highly recommend the Rustic Retreat. We will continue to send Remi here!
We have boarded our anxious Vizsla with Rustic Retreat for a few years now and will continue to as long as we have dogs to board! Josh was very understanding of Luna's anxiety and the first time we boarded her he texted me several times throughout the week letting us know how she was doing! Luna still tries to hide in the van every time we pull in, because that is just who she is when she isn't with her mom (me) or at her own home, but I know she is in amazing hands and comes back to us healthy and happy every time! There was even a time when Luna was on the tail end of getting drops in her ears for an ear infection, but Josh still took her for the week and finished the treatment out for us so we didn't have to interrupt our vacation plans. The website is easy to use, contacting Josh via text is great and he is always very responsive. I would highly recommend boarding your dog with Rustic Retreat! You won't be disappointed!
We've been using Rustic Retreat Lodge for Dogs for over three years now, and it's consistently the best place for our dog to stay when we travel. From the moment we drop off our pup, we know he is in good hands. The owner, Josh, is a great communicator. He puts you at ease immediately and replies quickly to both emails and texts. Our goldendoodle always comes home relaxed and remarkably clean, even when weather reports show rain and mud the whole time! This speaks volumes about the care and attention Josh gives to each dog. Thanks for the amazing care over the years, Josh! We recommend your business to everyone we know who needs a reliable place for their dog to stay.
We have brought our Labrador to Josh at Rustic Lodge for years and since our dog was a puppy. We choose Josh every time as we know the place is squeaky clean, our dog gets a large kennel where he can go in and out and a large fenced in yard where he gets supervised play with other dogs. Every time we drop off our dog he is happy to see the owner - Josh - and that speaks of approval from our dog too. This gives us peace of mind! Josh is happy to send updates during our lab stay and we appreciate those too. Josh is a great and prompt communicator both via emails and text. So thankful to be able to relax while on vacation knowing our pup is safe, cared for, and that all dogs are up to date on vaccines. Thanks Josh!
We have had nothing but positive experiences when we have boarded our Siberian husky at The Rustic Retreat Lodge. He is always happy when he's there well taken care of the staff is awesome and does everything they can to make our dog feel comfortable while away from home. The area that the dogs are in is spotless and no matter what the weather is outside the dogs are comfortable and have access to both inside and outside areas. I would 100% recommend The Rustic Retreat Lodge for dogs if anyone was looking to board their dogs.
Stephanie is the best! She’s been walking my dog daily while I’m at work. She’s responsible, trustworthy, and thoughtful. Not only does she walk my dog but she trains her as well. My dog is reactive on her leash and Stephanie handles her really well. Getting her daily notes and pictures of my pup make my day. I highly recommend this company and using Stephanie as your dog walker!
Doggie Latchkey Pet Sitting is by far the best dog sitting service I have ever had. I have been a long-term customer and have never had a more positive experience. It is such a relief that I can trust that my pups are well taken care of. It is nice to have peace of mind so that I can enjoy my travel. Professional, caring, and committed describes Doggie Latchkey best! I highly recommend them! You will need to look no further!
We’ve used doggie latchkey for many years after getting a referral from my parents. Our typical sitter, Rob, treats our dogs like his own and spoils them with treats, walks and snuggles when he visits. Latchkey has always met our needs for times and visits even when we didn’t have much lead time. I’m so thankful to have the option to keep our dogs at home where the are most comfortable.
Our dog walker Rob with Doggie Latchkey has been amazing! Our dogs warmed up to him right away at the meet and greet visit and now they look forward to seeing him every week for their walks! He is always timely, reliable, easy to reach, and sends the most adorable photos of our pups to make our day when we are at work. Thank you for being incredible Rob and Doggie Latchkey team!!!
So beyond happy and thankful to have found Doggie Latchkey. My husband and I rescued a socially anxious, dog-reactive border collie who always comes home from doggie boarding just stressed out and exhausted (even if it's only 1-2 nights). For our honeymoon, we felt bad putting him up in boarding for the week so we looked around for other options and found Doggie Latchkey. Communicating with them is a breeze. It is quick and efficient and personable. The meet and greet was easy. For our 5-night honeymoon, our dog sitter was Vanya and he was just truly wonderful. He was careful, communicative, helpful, and seriously put both my husband and I at ease while we were out of the country. Neither of us had had someone else stay in our home before, but any discomfort evaporated immediately as soon as the week started. We got tons of happy dog photos, clarifying questions about anything ambiguous, overall great and easy communication. When we got back the dishes were clean in the dishwasher, the trash (including bathrooms!) was taken out, the bed was stripped, and our happy little guy was his normal goofy and relaxed self (not at all stressed out like when we get him back from boarding). I seriously can't believe how incredible this service is. We got to have a relaxed happy dog, and we felt relaxed and reassured all vacation. Will OBVIOUSLY be using them again, probably sooner rather than later. Thank you Doggie Latchkey and Vanya!
We can't thank Gayle and Doggie Latchkey enough for helping us out with our vacation. Gayle stayed overnight with our dog for five nights and sent us updates everyday on how he was doing. He is a nervous little rescue puppy and he was in great hands. Thank you Gayle and the Doggie Latchkey team for everything!
Dog Latchkey has been a wonderful experience for me and my friendly, but dramatic 2 year old dog. After losing our long time dog Walker, we were so anxious about finding a new dog Walker because our dog can be very finicky and nervous at first. We were guided to an amazing dog Walker named Jess that was so patient with my pup’s needs. He warmed up to her immediately, and he now recognizes her name in excitement when she comes over. Denise is amazing at rescheduling visits and accommodating our often crazy schedules to ensure my dog always gets his walks. I can’t recommend Dog Latchkey enough!!!
Our experience with this pet sitting service has been wonderful. Denise was very friendly and helpful when I called for scheduling. We had the privilege of working with two different sitters in the last month. Both Nikki and Morgan were friendly, responsive, kept us updated with our pups activities and sent pictures. These sitters were very clean and courteous while in our home, followed instructions well, and our dogs were happy and healthy upon our return. We are quite attached to our dogs and having this amazing service gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our trips.
This was a lucky find. We needed a service for cat litter maintenance for a family member and Doggie Latchkey has been a great partner in caring for a beloved pet. The staff are professional and friendly. Jessica has been terrific. The website is easy to navigate to add or make changes to the service schedule. Thank you so much!
They deserve a seven star review!! I have been associated with Doggie Latchkey since 2014 or so. I am able to rely on them for the care of my Roscoe while I take trips or if I need to work long hours. The texted reports and the pictures of my boy at each visit help to give me peace of mind. The team takes great care of him and are respectful of my home.
