Steve recently house sat for us for a week whilst we visited family in the UK. He agreed to arrive a day earlier than we were leaving in order to familiarise himself with the dogs, their routines and varying needs and the house. The dogs took to him immediately so we were reassured by their reactions. While we were away he kept in contact to let us know how they all were and to ask anything that he wasn't sure about. He walked the younger two every day and let Belle set her own agenda as she does with us. On our return he picked us up in our car from the airport and stayed another night, cooking us our evening meal. The house was clean and tidy just as we had left it and the dogs were happy and contented. Steve was a trustworthy and competent house sitter and we would have no hesitation in recommending him. We didn't meet Andrea on this occasion as she did not come to Europe with him.

Hannah and Will are fabulous house sitters. Their communication before their stay was clear and they immediately put us at ease. They both clearly love animals and were able to deal with a last-minute change to the pet care instructions which involved giving tablets to a cat who isn’t used to it! They treated our house beautifully and I think they left it cleaner than they found it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hannah and Will and would 100% invite them to look after our pets in the future.

I feel blessed to have found Madhu and Mike. They were all I had hoped for and more! They came to meet me a couple of weeks before the sit, then Mike came a couple of days before to see how everything worked. My pets were very well looked after and were relaxed and happy when I got home - to find a bottle of wine and a lovely card waiting for me. Mike even replaced a towel rail in my bathroom! Sheets and towels were washed the morning of their departure and my house was left just as they had found it. I hope that Madhu and Mike may be available again in the future and I would highly recommend them as sitters.

Katrina was absolutely fantastic! We received daily messages & photos letting us know how our pup was getting on. She sincerely felt love & affection for him which we knew from the first time they met. Couldn't have been more reassured that our pup was going to well cared for and safe. The one thing we were not prepared for was how well Katrina looked after our house & garden! We've had to struggle since she left to keep it as clean & well maintained. Caitlin was a very good house sitter for us during our vacation. She answered our queries and assisted whenever we wanted to get in touch with her. The house was left in a beautiful clean condition and the pool and gardens were maintained in a good condition. The lawns were regularly mowed for us. (Caitlin was disappointed that we took our dog with us, but she understood).

Linda stayed at our house for one week and we couldn't have wished for a better sitter to look after our house and pets. Linda was clearly experienced and comfortable with our dog and cat. She took our dog Alfie out for long walks every morning and made sure their usual routines were followed. She also posted us regular pictures and updates which was great. Having met Linda for a short while prior to us going away, we were quickly reassured our pets would be in safe hands, and that proved correct. We would not hesitate to recommend Linda and would be really pleased to host her again if the opportunity arose.

Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.

I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!

Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!

Lindsey watched our cat and dog for a long weekend when we went out of town. She was a very communicative sitter sending frequent pictures and voice notes with updates. She did a great job of following their schedules and giving them attention. If Macie and Roman ever apply to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the. offer. You will not be disappointed. They are among the top (if not the top) sitter I've ever had and I've been on this site for years. Primarily, they are very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Macie and Roman kept me abreast of their plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk them through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Macie and Roman really care. When they got to my apartment after a very long morning of traveling, I explained the care instructions and they were very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Macie and Roman followed those exactly. Third, Macie and Roman make you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out of hiding very quickly and was snuggling with them and letting them hold him. It was so nice to see the pictures of them all bonding! Macie and Roman have a calming energy towards animals for sure! Macie and Roman were also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 30 minutes. I really appreciated that. Fourth, Roman and Macie will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Macie and Roman also respects your property. We had a room we asked them not to enter and they respected that. In short, Macie and Roman are amazing. I would have them back in a heartbeat. Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away.
