Travelling, pet-loving family of 3
Samantha was very communicative from the start and stayed that way throughout our trip. She sent daily updates and photos which we loved seeing and it was obvious that our animals were happy and well cared for. I had what I thought would be a 2 day repair project planned, and they were so flexible and patient when it turned into a full week! Yikes! Came home to a spotless house and happy animals and would welcome this nice family back anytime.

Yvonne was just great. She was wonderful with the dogs, and the house was immaculate when I returned. I hope that she will come again.

Reliable, Remote-Working, Pet-loving Couple with house & pet sitting experience
Clara and Graham were amazing sitters! We were lucky to have them and would wholeheartedly recommend them. They provided frequent updates during their stay and were tidy and respectful of our home. Couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you guys!

Compassionate, energetic and loving care provider
Responsible, reliable, friendly, helpful, resourceful. Some (understandable) family matters may have precluded a chance for her to replace linens (no time for them to dry) and perform a final vacuum in her spaces, but everything else was spotless. Probably tmi; in truth, I completely recommend Claudia and would be happy to see her back again.

Michelle has sat for us several times and is always a great option. We would love to have her back. She is easy to make plans with and took terrific care of our dogs.

I am a caring, responsible and active older woman.
Barbara was an excellent house and cat sitter. Communication with her from the word go was straightforward, and easy and it was clear that she would be completely self sufficient and confident in managing the travelling to the island, and caring for Stan and the house. She stayed in touch throughout her stay and I felt calm and confident that all was well with my beloved cat and home, and even updated me on the welfare of some of the street cats that I feed. If Barbara applies for a sit for you, then you can have every confidence that she is more than 100% reliable and will do an excellent job!

Solo traveler trecking the globe!
Kyle was such a great sitter for our two cats, Buffy and Milo, while we were gone for a month hiking the John Muir Trail. He proved very self-sufficient, which was super important for us since we were hiking and out of cell service for most of the time. Something that stood out was his adaptability. A summer storm knocked out power for two days and Kyle took it in stride. Most importantly, we came home to two happy cats and a tidy apartment. If you are looking for a sitter, look no further than Kyle.

Mature woman looking to explore and spend time with your pets!
Dawn was the kind of sitter that you dream of having! My two kitties loved her, she sent pictures of them daily, and she was just thoughtful and awesome all around. I would love to have her come back anytime and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for piece of mind about your pets and home while you're gone!

Happy, clean, animal loving family!
Sarah and Caleb were great! Easy to communicate with and took excellent care of Banksy. They checked in regularly and left the house clean and tidy upon return. I’d have them come and stay again anytime.

This was our second time having Ciara at our home with Ellie. We had such a great experience we wanted to bring her back. My favorite things about Ciara as a sitter is her quality care of Ellie, daily communication, and how self sufficient she is. She walked our dog almost daily and sent photos updating us on Ellie's activities each day. Ellie had a little bit of a health scare and Ciara stayed right on top of everything + maintained awesome communication throughout. We live on an island and if you have, you know island living isn't always the easiest. Ciara was comfortable with our home's quirks and didn't need hand holding during her stay. Would absolutely have her back in the future.
"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.
Julia was an amazing sitter and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From our first contact to when we arrived home after our trip, communication was excellent and we were able to enjoy our time away with complete peace of mind that our pets and our home were in good hands. We particularly appreciated how clean and tidy everything was when we got home with the linens and towels all washed and dried! Our cats clearly didn't miss us a bit - they were relaxed, their coats brushed and were giving us side-eye "oh, so, back to normal then? " looks as we unpacked. Thanks for everything Julia!
Our review is written by Steven (house owner, host + my father) + also by Kim (the daughter). Written by Kim: This was our first house sit since the passing of my mother in late Dec 2023. I was helping my father Steven (whose profile it is) manage all the emails + try + find a great house sitter + came along Gretchen’s profile! Not only is she a cool cat + someone you might want to get to know, I found myself quickly talking to her. I shortly found out her profile is just a glimpse of how interesting she is but talking to her was so much better! She is a world traveler with many experiences + stories to share. We quickly became conversationalists who could talk forever + probably will continue to do so! Thank you TH! She is easy to communicate with + continued the consistent communication all along our journey of having her as our *first* guest after my mom’s passing. It was clearly a time filled with anxiety + sensitivity so there were some sensitive topics to go over + Gretchen got it right away. A few of our rooms in the house were off-limits (as they housed my mom’s things) but we reassured her the house has ample space for her to enjoy + there are many lovely outdoor spaces to boot! When she arrived she felt she was in paradise + really relished in the outdoor beauty + the indoor coziness. We were happy to share it with someone who appreciated it so much! She also was very understanding with the fact that both my dad + I would both be involved as we both handled different parts of the stay. Me, writing + setting up the Welcome Guide + would go over the situation but then upon her arrival my dad would take over + answer any questions mostly during her sit. The good part of having 2 people is she had accessibility to us both, in the case she needed it + sometimes it came up! She juggled all the communication oh so well. My mom usually handled most of the logistics so this being our first time we were nervous something would come up we might not know but it didn’t! It was new territory for us + we wanted to make sure she had everything. Gretchen handled it all with such ease, seamlessly, really respecting our wishes/desires + taking all the information into her hands + making it seem easy on her end to do so. She was easy to coordinate schedules with! There was a gap in her 1st + 2nd sit but everything went seamlessly even when my flight had a day long delay. She was able to coordinate schedules with me arriving in between, then leaving, my dad arriving different days + us extending the trip too. It all worked out! We were all a good team! She absolutely loved our older cat, Benny + he fast + furiously fell in love with her oh so easily. When I saw him, he looked oh so loved + after saying hi to me went over to ‘her’ bed + slept there waiting for her to come back. She sent many pictures, videos + even cute creations + toys she made for our Benny + it was obvious the house + our Benny were her first priority. She even asked us if she could help prune our flowers/shrubs, something my mom used to do + honestly it was an honor to hear her ask that. She was welcome to set up her art studio + play away. She was very communicative when our house cleaner, landscape gardener + house manager showered up for different reasons. When I arrived back for a short stint before she came back the 2nd time our mail was so well organized it was an assembly line! She also offered to take down our xmas tree (as we were a bit behind in taking down our xmas decorations) + she was sensitive to the fact that we were adjusting to a new normal. Thank you so much Gretchen! You made our first sit in a long time so seamless + such a relief that we are ready now to host again. We only wish we could have more Gretchen’s! (She’s also a super talented artist!) Written by Steven: Overall, Gretchen has been an absolute treasure. She has fulfilled our goals for a house sitter perfectly - she took good care of the house, great care of our treasured pet, Mr. Benny + took care of the grounds such as watering a few plants + trees. She excelled in all the above + is welcome back anytime I will be out of town in the future.
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Becca was fantastic - we cannot say enough about how great she is as a pet and house sitter and as a human being! Becca committed to the sit 8 months in advance and was great with her responsiveness in communication during the long lead up to the sit. She arrived early and got the low downs on the animals and house stuff prior to us leaving. She woke up crazy early to help us get to the airport and picked us up when we returned, which made the traveling so much easier on our end. She left the house spot-less (and this is no exaggeration), with the linens cleaned, and a wonderful meal waiting for us upon our return. She is an absolute gem of a person with a great sense of humor and a kind and compassionate nature, and she really enjoys the animals in her care. Our dog and cat were very well cared for and totally at ease upon our return. If you are lucky enough to have Becca sit for you, you will be very pleased at how well she does the job!
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Angel was absolutely the best house sitter we could have hoped for. She is a very warm, open and diligent person and our two cats adored her. She looked after our house and garden with really conscientious care. She won over our very timid cat, Billie, and sent regular photos of both cats looking supremely content which gave us perfect peace of mind. The house was completely spotless on our return and the garden was fabulous... no mean feat since there was a heatwave while we were away and she kept everything watered and in great condition. We would have Angel back at the drop of a hat and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Ruoyi was the perfect sitter for our cat Toni! We would highly recommend her to any pet owner, and hope she can sit for us again in the future. Ruoyi was very thorough - she made sure there was full alignment on all the specifics of her pet duties, and she asked thoughtful questions regarding details we forgot to include in our guide. She always provided us timely updates at the agreed cadence, and gave us a ton of photos. From the photos, it's clear she got in a lot of play time with Toni, which we really appreciated! :) We were able to enjoy our entire vacation stress-free knowing Toni was in such good hands. Ruoyi left our apartment completely clean and offered to wash linens.
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
Kristine was wonderful again as our local sitter from just down the street. The boys take to her like she is their best friend whenever she comes to sit with them. She sent us photos of them playing, relaxing, drinking water and eating so we knew they were well taken care of. The house and the cats were in excellent shape and excellent hands while we were away. It is wonderful that she enjoys the house and the cats so much and tells us so. Kristine comes with our highest recommendation! Thank you Kristine!

We send our 2 pups to Pawz Lodge regularly for daycare and often for boarding whenever we leave town. We have been using Pawz lodge for about a year now. I have never once worried about the care my dogs will receive when they are there. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Pawz lodge. Their staff is awesome, the cleanliness is top notch, the communication is great and your fur babies will have plenty of space in their roomy kennel when boarding. Wether it's boarding or just a daycare day My dogs always come home happy, well cared for and TIRED. and thats all I can ask for. Thanks Pawz Lodge for the continued great care of my boys! (attached photo is from daycare!)
We found Pawz Lodge about 2 years ago when we got our puppy, Pip. We had been looking for a place for daycare and boarding. I am very protective and picky about leaving my dog with people. So, I scoured the internet for dog daycares nearby, I asked for recommendations from friends, I did my research. Pawz Lodge came highly recommended. We saw they were having an open house, to show the new boarding suites they were opening, and thought this was a perfect opportunity to check it out. I met Jenessa and her husband Nate that day, and couldn't have been more impressed! Shortly after, Pip had his first meet and greet to begin daycare! Since then, Pawz Lodge has been like family! Between Pips time boarding, and his regular daycare days, it is CLEAR that they love Pip as much as I do, and they take tremendous care of him! He is always sooo excited when we get close to daycare and can't wait to get out of the car and up the stairs!! He is greeted each morning with "good morning Mr Pip" as he prance through the doorway, off to see what adventures await for him in the play yard! Pawz Lodge facilities are always clean, and the doggos have access to fresh water all the time! They post amazing photos of all of the dogs, and even do birthday parties, holiday activities (ornaments, mothers/fathers day, etc) and photo shoots!! For someone who's pup is their baby, it is so neat to be able to have these cute things things! Now, there is something that stands out to me a lot; Pip is all black, and ironically doesn't care much for water. I would often get concerned about him on the hot days at daycare, even though they have tons of kiddie pools out for the pups to play in, and plenty of water. BUT the staff has always taken such great care of him! Douglass would often place him into a little pool to cool him off, or spray him a bit with the hose to ensure he wasn't over heating! This speaks volumes to me!! If you have ever considered daycare for your pup, or are in need of boarding... You would be doing your doggo a disservice if you didn't contact Pawz Lodge!! 20 out of 10 recommended!! 🐾
Dogs love the space! Reasonably priced, If you go all 5 days a week I believe you do also get a discount.
My dog enjoyed boarding at Pawz Lodge during 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays, a total of 11 days. My dog seems to enjoy her staying, she was relaxed and playful when we picked her up. We were very happy with the care she was giving, they played with her and our dog definitely enjoyed running in the fenced-in yard. We will definitely board her at Pawz Lodge again when we go away in the future.
I would highly recommend Pawz Lodge over and over again! We boarded both our furry doggy kids in the Family Suite for 20 days and the staff did an amazing job with them! They have boarded before but with other dog interaction and wasn't sure how they would do just by themselves and staff. We were soooo happy to know they were doing great every time we called! The staff followed feeding and meds to the tee from the instructions. Pictures daily of their smiles playing made us know we made the right decision boarding them there!!! Pawz Lodge, thank you again, we will be boarding with you always going forward! Thank you for offering boarding that doesn't require other dog interaction!
Our Dog goes to day-care weekly and he is so excited to go that he gets up and sits by the door on his day! He’s an energetic dog and he comes home tuckered out! We have also utilized the boarding services and again our dog is thrilled to be there and it’s a wonderful feeling to know your pet is well armed for. Pawz is safe, clean, fun and the staff (Doug and Austin!!) are so great with the dogs! We had a medical emergency one afternoon and couldn’t pick our dog up from daycare and the owner quickly transferred him to overnight boarding so we had one less worry. Excellent place for your four-legged family members and is very affordable. Pawz is tremendous in every way!
We used them for boarding, and our dogs seemed well cared for. We loved the pictures they posted to their FB page during the week. We would love to give 5 stars, but there was one gigantic disappointment. Based on the pictures from their website, we thought our dogs would get to play with other dogs all week long. Sadly, this is not the case. Only day care dogs get to play. Boarders sit in a cage all day. They said it was a safety issue. Unfortunately, we found this out at drop off and too late to do anything about it. I did ask if they could be added to the daycare and offered to pay extra. I was told the owner would call me but that never happened. We felt guilty leaving them there all week and it put a damper on our vacation. We ended up picking them up early. It just wasn’t the experience we were looking for, and we won’t be back.
My dog, Maggie, absolutely loves Pawz Lodge. When I met with the owner, Jenessa, on the day of the first “meet and greet”, she was so welcoming, kind, and patient with Maggie. Kristy and Douglas are also awesome with the dogs. They all take the time to answer questions. I love that the dogs are not crated, and they are well supervised throughout the day. It’s fun seeing the daily pictures on Facebook. I’m very picky about who I leave Maggie with, and Pawz Lodge is a place where I know she will be safe and have a great time. And she has no trouble sleeping after a good day of playing with her friends!
Pawz Lodge is an amazing place to bring your dog. From small to large, they all have fun. My dog loves to spend the day. Jenessa is super with all the dogs and I trust her fully with my Flash. Would recommend Pawz Lodge to any dog owner.
We recently boarded our 3 pups here for the first time, and the staff were so great at updating and taking pictures of the boys, easing any worries I had about leaving them 😊 everyone is kind, attentive and caring. They have our trust and we will definitely be leaving our pups here in the future! …
