Bunker Hill is amazing! So friendly and helpful. We had a pipe break and needed remediation, and we all had to leave our home. The remediation took longer than the original estimate. They accommodated our needs with ease and understanding. I would highly recommend them for your fur babies.

There were a lot of issues with this so I'm gonna make it simple and bulletpoint. For background, we were going to OBX for a week-long family vacation and dropped our two dogs off with Bunker Hill Kennel. - the owner had messed up the dates and for some reason thought we were picking up the dogs on the 11th, not the 1st. when we showed up she seemed very disorganized and flustered to hear that we were 'already' there to pick them up - she does not take card/paypal/cashapp/etc, ONLY cash. I had to go out of my way to find my bank and pull out $600 cash and take it back to her - everything given back to me with the dogs absolutely reeked of urine. toys, dog bed, blankets - the dog bed was clearly chewed up when we got it back - the kennel they stayed in was tiny. for two dogs especially. we did realize later on that we chose the smaller kennel at some point, but even after looking at the "large kennel", it would've still been VERY tight for two medium/small dogs - our dogs have slight dietary restrictions so we portioned every meal literally perfect into sandwich bags before dropping it off/dropping the dogs off at the beginning of vacation. when we picked them up, we got a LOT of the food back. I know that dogs sometimes don't eat much when in a situation away from their owners for a while, so take this bulletpoint with a grain of salt i suppose. but it was clear that our dogs were not being fed a fresh meal very frequently (we asked 2x daily), just kept getting the same old stale meals after they didn't eat previously. - our dogs came home with fleas - our dogs themselves smelled not only like urine, but a literal barn. i dont even know how to describe it. when petting them after pickup they felt gummy, greasy, dirty. they smelled like feces. my nice new car smells like that TO THIS DAY over a month later - to cover the "large" vs "small" kennel issue again, the "large" kennels are only accessible by stairs which would not have been an issue for our dogs but is definitely something to consider if you have an older and larger dog. we were not informed about this until later on - the fur inbetween my dogs paw pads was green, full of mud and feces. this leads us to think that they were kept/left (call it what you want) outside very frequently during a time when we were getting lots of hot weather and plenty of rain

I have been taking my dog to Bunker Hill for over a year now. I feel that she is always well cared for, and happy when I drop her off and pick her up. The facility is very clean. Being a high energy breed, she really gets a lot of much needed activity at their daycare. Highly recommended!

We've been taking our Chihuahua here for over a year now when we go out of town on weekends. We feel very comfortable leaving her there, they take great care of her! She did come home with fleas one time out of the 5 times she's been there but I read that that's to be expected at kennels. Definitely recommend Bunker Hill!

We have used Bunker Hill for several years now and have always had a wonderful experience. Shelli and her team are really outstanding. We have boarded our 2 dogs at many other places while we were living out of state over the past couple of years and our favorite would definitely be Bunker Hill. The main reason being that when our boys return home they are very calm and relaxed (after the initial run around). That behavior tells me a great deal about how they were treated while boarding. They have come home from other places and been very “out of sorts”. After staying at Bunker Hill everything is back to normal immediately and they are in a very good state of mind. We really trust the team at Bunker Hill!

Three of our dogs have boarded at Bunker Hill for the last couple years. We couldn’t be happier with the ease of appointments, accommodations and loving care our babies get from Shelli and her staff. So happy this is our dogs home away from home when we go out of town. A++++++!

This is the only boarding facility we’ve been to that my dog is excited to go to! The staff are very caring toward the animals and take the time to read your pet’s needs. My dog gets anxious around larger and loud dogs, so Shelli always puts her near puppies and small dogs. Rates are very reasonable compared to other area facilities that offer less personalized care.

Our dogs live together so they stay together at Bunker Hill. Our golden is 15 y/o and the people take special care of him there. Our small dog is very loving and is treated accordingly. Close to home but out in the country.

Very reasonable and very good service. We received a follow up visit letting us know how our baby was doing. I really appreciated the phone call. Especially since this was her first time being boarded. We will definitely be back!!

Charlie is the best! We have been employing his services to watch our two cats while on vacation for the past four years. I completely trust him. He goes above and beyond. He has been there for us during emergencies as well and we consider him a friend. His communication is excellent-- we really enjoy the updates with photos and videos. He is flexible, reliable, and trustworthy. I can't recommend him enough! Thank you for everything, Charlie!

Charlie watched our dogs for us over the holiday weekend and we are so thrilled with what an amazing job he did. We were updated at every visit and he sent pictures with a run down of how they were all (5!) doing. I can’t recommend him enough and feel 100% confident that if we ever need a pet sitter again, Charlie will be the one!

We have used Charlie to care for our 2 dogs (can be high maintenance) and 2 cats for a 1 1/2 years. He takes extremely good care of them and treats them like his own furry companions. He is trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend him but don't book him when we might need him!--LOL

Charlie has been looking in on my cats several times a year since 8/2021. Living outside of Ann Arbor, it can be a challenge to find a reliable pet-sitter; we live in between a few areas. Charlie took detailed notes & always asks for updates. Although we often have our pooch stay with family, our pooch approved Charlie. When Charlie has been taking care of our cats, most of them don’t hide when we get home, so we know they were well-cared for. We have some special needs pets; our elderly cat throws up a lot and has been refusing to use litter box, & Charlie has been accommodating with the potty-pads & the house is neat and mess-free. He plays with our kitten & sends photo updates. When I haven’t checked my messages promptly (I do a lot of the driving and we go off grid), he texted my partner to make sure we got the updates. Charlie communicates clearly about dates and fees. He is reliable & has been understanding when I’ve had to change plans. I like that pet-sitting is not a side-gig for him, but something he mindfully pursues. I also like that Charlie himself performs the services & comes to our home. He explained his approach to pet-sitting & he doesn’t over-commit himself. Charlie cares about our pets too. Although he hasn’t pet-sit for our dog, he always asks about her and how she’s doing. He’s pleasant, reliable and affordable and I can’t thank him enough for the peace of mind he gives us so we can travel and have no worries about our fur-babies at home.

Charlie is amazing! I feel so lucky to have found him. I have a large German Shepherd (Jagr) who can be very nervous and a unwelcoming. Charlie just seems to have a way with dogs - I think they must sense his kindness. I love that Charlie gives me updates - with pictures! - to let me know all is well. I feel so comfortable leaving the care of my pup to Charlie when I travel. I cannot recommend him enough!

Charlie is the best pet caregiver you could find! He has been caring for our pets for years. He is reliable, conscientious and loves dogs and cats. Our three pets get excited to see him every time he comes. Charlie sends photos of our pets while we are on vacation. A bonus is how nicely he leaves our home.

We recently went on our first vacation after adopting our cat, and I wasn’t sure how our Toast would react to a stranger. I’m am pleased to say that she absolutely loved Charlie! She warmed up to him immediately. He sent daily texts updating me on how Toast was doing, and even sent photos. I was completely confident in her care while we were gone. She got lots of playtime and love, and Charlie will definitely be our go-to pet sitter for the future.
