Caring, Clean and Dependable Traveler Who Would Love To Take Care Of Your Home
Elizabeth was fantastic and we would absolutely have her again. She is a great communicator, checked with us if she wasn't sure, took good care of Lulu, and was overall wonderful.

Single woman, 4 children, 7 grandchildren, retired operating room nurse
Not all dog lovers can care for the large breed dogs. You can't just pick them up to fix a problem. And they tend to drool. Betsy was just marvelous with Byron. He likes to get out to walk or ride around in the car. He is a nosy thing. Betsy was able to find his best self. She sent lots of pictures. The house looked the same as we left it. I could not ask for more. We appreciated all she did to allow us to take a vacation without worry.

Active 38 years old travel Nurse that loves animals, and has a flexible schedule
I would higly recommend Rachel for pet sitting. She took great care of my elderly, highly social cat, who needs extra love and attention in addition to requiring daily medicine in her ears. She handled everything beautifully and sent me great updates throughout the week. I'd definitely invite her to sit for me again!

Responsible, considerate, and well-traveled couple seeking short and long stays
Lauren and Jeremy were wonderful house sitters. I would ask them back or recommend them without hesitation. They communicated clearly, and took wonderful care my pets, house and garden. They left the place cleaner than it started and generously offered to help in ways that I hadn't asked but that were very kind and thoughtful. I felt very comfortable with my animals and home in their care.

Digital Nomad Family Looking to Explore
Matt, Kimberly and their two children looked after our Cadence(Goldendoodle) for a little over 3 weeks. They were incredible, my neighbors loved them. I heard someone played the piano very well❤️. They sent us some beautiful photos of our baby being loved by them and the kids. I wanted them to feel at home and enjoy the Hobart 4th of July celebrations and I think they did. I had no stress leaving my home and dog with this beautiful family. The house was perfect when we got back! As if we'd never left, Cadence was in great shape but will miss them for sure. So many thanks to Matt and Kimberly for their kindness and generosity. I hope to see them again.

Wanderlust couple who love animals
We could not have asked for better cat and house sitters than Jenn and Ryan! We met them in person before we left for 40 days because that is a long time to be gone away from not only our adorable cat, Wesley, but our home. Our cat literally was sleeping at Jenn's feet by the end of the first hour together during the short "interview visit." They were so great about communicating. In the start of the sit, they asked really great questions and thankfully we had answers for them. They sent us a photo and text surrounding Wesley as soon as they walked into the home. From that point on the communication was efficient, kind, and compassionate. It was evident that though our cat missed us in the beginning, Ryan and Jenn extended so much genuine love and care to Wesley that he was sitting on their work space desk and in their laps once they were in relax mode! Our home was so well-cared for. Very clean upon our arrival back home, including the refrigerator and freezer which could have become a bit untidy after 40 days of two new people using both. The landscaping was watered and our plants overall survived the heat of the summer and the intense wind and rain of tropical stormy Debby that they weathered through here in our home in Tampa, FL. I hope that our cat Wesley and our home continue to enjoy such fantastic care such as the care provided by our most recent housesitters. Jenn and Ryan genuinely seemed to enjoy our home, its spaciousness, and the pool. They never once complained about needing to water so many lovely plants & flowers nor did they hesitate to cover our outdoor furniture to keep it in good condition in spite of the pop-up thunderstorms that we have daily in our area.

Professional House & Pet Sitter
Rachel is an ideal pet and house sitter. Calm, reliable, communicative and responsive. She treats our home like it's her own and our kittens are always well cared for and spoiled rotten with attention :) Our neighbors also compliment us on how she looks after things, including keeping the garden watered and being a respectful neighbor.

Teacher/petsitter dreaming of making petsitting and traveling a reality!
When we select a sitter, we read every review in addition to conducting some sort of video interview. We really rely upon the experiences of past hosts, so that’s why I believe it important to be honest in this review. I love giving out 5 star reviews and do quite frequently, but I also need to share any less-than-positive experiences as well for those hosts who rely upon reviews such as we do. As such, I’m a bit ambivalent about writing this review of Katie, as there were some really good things Katie did while here. She is a lovely, energetic woman who responded immediately to the concerns I voiced to her during the time she watched our pets; however, the “negatives” we experienced speak to the heart of the importance of having a dedicated pet sitter. For the most part, our home was left tidy and neat – which is no small feat as ours is a large house and I appreciate the care Katie took in ensuring we walked into a clean home. That said, Katie failed to notice my dogs had urinated in both of their dog beds and on the floor of our downstairs office, which we believed happened in the first part of the sit and resulted in the downstairs smelling of stale urine. Further, because she didn’t notice the urine, my pets, when downstairs, had to either sleep on the bare floor or in wet beds, neither of which is a satisfactory option. Also, my dogs don’t generally urinate in the house as they have access to a doggie door, and this seemed more a sign of their distress or discomfort. I believe this incident was part of a larger problem I experienced with Katie and that was in the manner in which she approached this sit. I advertised dates of July 6 – July 22. We generally ask our sitters to come in a day or two early as to walk them through the schedule for both our animals and our many plants, as well as to give them time to get to know the animals and experience a little of the town we live in. We also provide a very detailed introduction and welcome guide which outlines our expectations. Katie came in late in the day on the 7th, without personal transportation, which necessitated us picking her up and then my neighbor taking her to a rental cart company the next day because we left very early on the morning of the 8th. This abbreviated introductory time didn’t allow us to fully prepare Katie for the sit and allowed for some apparent “misunderstandings.” The “issue” for me was for the first five days of our 13-day trip, Katie was away from the house for up to 13 hours at a time – leaving our two, older rescue dogs, who have some separation anxiety - alone and with an extended time between meals. It was clear Katie was using this opportunity to visit many of the beautiful areas which surround where we live – hence using our home as more of an Airbnb to vacation – than a house sit dedicated to caring for our animals. Our dogs are fine with being alone for up to six hours but even that, for multiple days in a row, is, frankly, distressing to our animals and to us, as owners. To Katie’s credit, when I called and brought her daily, extended time away to her attention and reiterated my wishes the dogs not be left for more than 6 hours, she changed her schedule and while still gone every day, capped her time away at six hours. And, as I said, she is cheerful and responsive; hence, the ambivalence is positing my concerns with this sit. I think if Katie is provided with very clear expectations prior to the sit and understands exactly what is needed and expected, she will absolutely deliver. For whatever reason, from the start, this sit was rushed, there appeared to be too many misunderstandings, and it ended up being frustrating for us in ways other sits have not been.
Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.
Anna was an excellent sitter - she took great care to understand all of the intricacies of taking care of the house and cats, asked lots of questions, and arrived on time and ready for the sit. During the trip, she checked in with updates, and upon returning home, left the space tidy and clean. The cats were happy and healthy, and seemed to have had a great time during the sit. Thanks Anna!
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Brian is a very professional sitter that does a good job, pays attention to details and is easy to work with. I have a lot of plants. A lot. He suggested me do a video for the plant care so he could be sure of which ones needed what. Brilliant! I’d never thought of that. They were in great shape when I returned. I explained that I needed some flexibility with travel dates, he agreed and rolled with the punches like a champ when my dates did indeed change. Unfortunately, he was a bit allergic to my cat but made it work anyway. He was really awesome about everything including a tree that fell next door in a storm and blocked the road for three days. I appreciate that he appreciated how funny and how much personality Boo has. They got along well and I received some great videos. I returned home to a happy cat and a house well taken care of 😊. I would definitely recommend Brian.
Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kathryn! I needed to extend dates for the sit after we had set it up and she was able to accommodate this so was actually here from 10/4-20. She was timely and communicative throughout - and she is a very nice person. She kept the house really tidy and followed all instructions well. My cats took to her quickly. When I returned, they had been very well cared for and seemed fully content even though I'd never left them for long before. While away, I reached out to Kathryn by text several times regarding deliveries, etc. She was very prompt in responding and adept at handling issues as they arose. I highly recommend Kathryn as a house sitter - and would happily work with her again!
If Macie and Roman ever apply to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the. offer. You will not be disappointed. They are among the top (if not the top) sitter I've ever had and I've been on this site for years. Primarily, they are very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Macie and Roman kept me abreast of their plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk them through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Macie and Roman really care. When they got to my apartment after a very long morning of traveling, I explained the care instructions and they were very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Macie and Roman followed those exactly. Third, Macie and Roman make you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out of hiding very quickly and was snuggling with them and letting them hold him. It was so nice to see the pictures of them all bonding! Macie and Roman have a calming energy towards animals for sure! Macie and Roman were also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 30 minutes. I really appreciated that. Fourth, Roman and Macie will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Macie and Roman also respects your property. We had a room we asked them not to enter and they respected that. In short, Macie and Roman are amazing. I would have them back in a heartbeat. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. Ask Macie and Roman for my number.
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!

My wife and I are very particular regarding the care of our pet, we are so pleased that we met Susan from Barkley’s, she visited our home and immediately bonded with him! She kept us informed while we were away and was very responsive during the entire process! We will absolutely have complete confidence in Barkley’s for our future needs!
Barkley’s was extremely flexible and professional! I received text messages and updates that put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Susan and will definitely use her in the future!
We brought our 2 year old golden here for her very first haircut. We had always been nervous to bring her to a groomer. This place was amazing. They were very friendly. We know she was in good hands. Her haircut turned out great. We will definitely be back.
Pine Hill has watched my two very different dogs many times, and, at times, with very little advance notice. They always put my big dog Josie in the same kennel she had become familiar and comfortable with. She has access to a large play area outdoors and can sometimes socialize with other dogs. I trust the Pine Hill staff to do what is best for each dog and their unique needs. My tiny 6 lb dog is kept comfortably in a different area where she can remain calm and given freedom to explore, under staff supervision, out of her contained area. I do trust Pine Hill with the care and safety of all dogs and cats.
I've boarded pets here twice & both times i've been very satisfied with the accommodations for them and the communication from the family
Only giving two stars cause both dogs are still alive. My friend and I boarded our two dogs there this past week(boarded for 7 days). She had boarded her big dog before and didnt have any problems as they coddled her dog. So I was confident when we boarded our dogs together that they would be ok (we room together so the dogs are familiar with each other) My dog is a little maltipoo and he now is super sick (started next day after picking him up). I noticed the day of picking him up that he had lost a significant amount of weight (he wears male wraps so that is how I knew initially, confirmed later). They were told he was a picky eater and he was sent with wet food (only 3 used). So I can picture them feeding them together and if he didnt eat the dry food, my friends big dog chowed down and they thought mine had eaten. When looking in his bag I sent with him, he loves toys, and not one of his toys was moved from the bag (or dirtied, trust me the dogs and their beds were DIRTY so I know they werent touched). My friends big dog had a cut reopened on her side, bruised on her belly and is super sick. My dog had a huge nose scrape and is super sick (puking, diarrhea, not eating, pale). We have reached out to them and heard nothing back. When picking them up, the attitudes were enough to never kennel my dog ever again. If that is how they treat humans, who knows how my dog or my friends dog was treated. The staff is only there a couple hours a day so your dog will get no attention except a bowl slapped down and a shout to come in from outside. Sure it is cheap, but comes with cheap care. So if you have a picky eater, a dog who is attatched to you…I would never recommend this place.
Love Pine Hill Kennels! We have been going here for years any time we need a place to board our dog, and most recently we even boarded our cat there due to home renovations happening while we were gone. The staff is so friendly and they love animals. They always have availability and our dog LOVES it there. So much play time and outdoor time! We always make sure to get her a bath before we pick her up since she loves to play so much. Thank you for loving our fur babies as your own!
They are reliable and staff are friendly. Limited hours for drop off and pick up. Probably not a lot of play time for the dogs. It is a basic boarding facility with reasonable prices.
We took our 4 month old puppy to Pine Hill Farm Pet Care for a day of doggy daycare and grooming. They were absolutely wonderful and did everything to ensure a smooth and safe visit for our puppy! The owner went above and beyond to make sure our dog, and us as owners felt comfortable to ensure a happy stay when we board him over night soon! I would highly recommend this Kennel for all of its services. It is like an extension of our home for our fur baby! We will definitely be back time and time again!
We have used them twice to board our dogs for 1+ week. We have had a great experience and dogs always come home in great spirits. I can understand if updates on how pets are doing can be time consuming but I do wish they at least provided a recap of how the dogs were upon pickup.
Heidi made our sweet Belgian Groenendael look amazing! Scarlett went from Wild Child to a Prim & Proper lady! Thank you😀👏❤🐾 …
I took both of my dogs for a nail trim today. My baby girl is a rescue and very scared but the owner did amazing with both of them. We will definitely be returning for all their grooming needs. Thanks for doing such a great job with them.
Took my very anxious recently adopted doodle here for a 5 night stay. We were even able to come for a short trial visit before her stay. The kennels were very spacious and clean. They went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and happy during her stay.
The quality and care that Josh and his family have shown for dogs is incredible. Koda seemed to have adjusted well for never have been boarded before. They are amazing and we will be using them for any future stays! 💖 Thank you Josh and family for loving on our dogs! We appreciate you so much! …
Great service for dogs! Very spacious, clean kennels. Kind and caring owners. We will be taking our dog here again when needed.
Our dogs have been to several different boarding facilities and never back for a second time. They will definitely be going back here. My dogs were well taken care of and I had no worries! Got pictures of them while they were there, communication was great!! Highly recommend
The quality of care they provided sure a recent stay was exceptional and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their dog.
Tysm for taking good care of our doggos while we were on vacation. The security of knowing our dogs are ok, that's priceless :)
