We have been sending our dog Rio here for more than a year and it has been a wonderful experience so far. Rio jumps with excitement when we mention the name ‘daycare’. We even cut our morning walk short so that he can enjoy the daycare with his friends as much as he can and doesn’t get overtired. The staff at Roaring Brook are so friendly and take great care of our Rio. They let us know when Rio has had a good day, eaten his food, taken a nap. They even know Rio is our dog when we go to bring him back in the evening. We have also tried their boarding service which has also been a great experience.

I scheduled my dog at the kennel 4-5 weeks in advance. I had to prompt them to find out if my submission was even accepted. Then, five days before my wedding and when we were supposed to use the kennel, they told us we needed to do a bunch more things to allow our dog to stay, even though no one (not the vets or anyone at the kennel) mentioned it was necessarily or needed. He was up to date on vaccines and vet visits, but it wasn't enough. We hired a pet sitter who then told us this kennel barely even gives the animals any one on one time anyway. I'm glad we did not go with them. Their communication was sub-par at best.

Made an appointment for my dog over the phone for his “trial” to make sure he was a good fit. When I arrived I did not find anyone working there to be overly friendly or welcoming. I was told over the phone that my appointment was for 9 am today yet told when I arrived they don’t start until 9:30 - the person I spoke to on the phone also told me that they would be reaching out to my vet for the vaccine info and that was never done, so I had to scramble to get them records when I arrived. I am shocked this place has good ratings. I had a very bad first impression and will not be returning.

I would give more than 5 stars if it were possible! My dogs have boarded and been in daycare at Roaring Brook for many years and I have been nothing but pleased with the care they received. The head groomer is fantastic!! She has meticulously groomed my dogs (collies, not the easiest breed to groom) for two decades. They have all been happy to go for their "spa" days every month, love her, look fantastic when they come home.

I can't say enough good things about Roaring Brook Kennels, as well as Roaring Brook Vet. We have several cats who we boarded at the kennel for a couple of days when we moved. They were so well cared for. The practice cared for all of our cats and our dog. They provided the best quality, compassionate care for our pets throughout all stages of their lives. And then there's their groomer, Gina. Best. Groomer. Ever. She truly cares for all of her furry clients and is truly the best in her field with both dogs and cats. I cannot recommend Gina and this practice highly enough!

My little mutt just went for her first weekend boarding experience and had a total blast! Loved getting her "report card" and hearing about her adventures and new friendships in daycare. Totally accommodating with flexible drop off and pick up time options without racking up extra charges and a wide range of custom packages to suit your pups needs each visit. Well worth the few more miles to know she is so well cared for and adored by the staff there.

Roaring Brook Kennels and Veterinary Hospital is an amazing facility with a staff that truly cares for your animals during their stay. Whether my dog Bruce is there for half or full day of Doggy Day Care I know he is in good hands and comes back exhausted and fulfilled. They even give him a bath which is amazing! During the times when Bruce is not able to come On vacation with us... I send Bruce on vacation to Roaring Brook Kennels. Here he spends his days playing with the staff and the other dogs boarding as well. I have personally seen a huge improvement in Bruce’s behavior during his time spent at the kennels... because they make sure he is happy and gets his engery out. The staff is extremely attentive to him and all the dogs under their care. I have witnessed on more than one occasion the staff snuggling and assuring a new comer who is nervous that it’s okay and they will have fun as well. I can personally say that having a place like Roaring Brook Kennels to care for my dog puts a lot of my worries behind me. Gave my dog RINGWORM which is impossible to get rid of and very uncomfortable for my dog. Overall I think the kennels are unclean and unprofessional. They smell awful the second you walk in the door which no other kennels I’ve been to smell that bad. Only makes me think about what the kennels are like if it smells that strong in the lobby. They washed my dog and left her in the crate dryer for hours and she still smelled disgusting when I got her back. Would never board my dog here again or recommend to anyone. Very disappointed in this kennel.

When picking up our pet we were asked to assist with getting him into the carrier. We got a glimpse of the back kennel. I was shocked at how filthy the place was. The kitty condo was beyond dirty, the walls were stained and it smelled like it hadn’t been washed or cleaned in months. Initially when we dropped our pet off, we brought a blanket to try and make his stay as comfy as possible. His blanket was thrown on a shelf and a dirty pillow case was provided for him to sleep on instead. I received a phone call later that day from the manager. She was full of excuses and not truthful. She should have just addressed my concerns and apologized - you gotta OWEN IT! Very upsetting for our family and our pet.

I'm not sure how they got such a good rating. We were fooled by the name and assumed, incorrectly, that they were associated with the vet's office (because the vets are AMAZING. They are not. Both my mother and I brought our dogs for the same week in August of 2021 and both came back with raw, open sores on their noses (no explanation given), my mother's dog never got his comfort toy. Mine was fed half of the amount I had advised and came back to find him emaciated. We both opted for our dogs to be given a round (2 doses) of the canine flu shot and both only got one. They couldn't even FIND my dog for 15 minutes when we went to pick him up. Never again. Proceed at your own risk.

Woofs about Town is a very reliable, trustworthy service that my family has used for several years for our two dogs. We have used Gretchen to pet-sit our dogs while we were on vacation for a week as well as for a quick visit when we’re tied up and need to make sure our dogs get a walk or a meal. It’s very obvious that Gretchen has a true love of dogs. She always takes great care of our gang and we unconditionally recommend her. 🐾🐶

Gretchen and Rob are the absolute best. I have four dogs, and they do a great job taking care of them and all their special needs! I always get an update with photos of the pups after each visit. Cannot say enough good things about them! Thank you Gretchen & Rob!!!

After every visit we get a detailed message about the time they spent with our pup (including adorable pictures). They have even reached out to us to check in on our dog after an operation, during a time when they weren’t coming for visits. Gretchen and Rob are such a kind and compassionate team. They go above and beyond to care for their clients, and they truly love every member of their pack. We completely trust them with both our pup and our house, and highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a pet sitter. They are the best!

Whiskered Pals is our first and only choice for our dog. From daily walks to boarding, we’ve had such a great experience. And our pooch loves the special attention he gets!

I hired Whiskered Pals over two years ago to help care for my vizsla puppy Vida and highly recommend Sam and her employees! I have been boarding Vida for two days every week while I work long shifts for over a year and a half now, and just started boarding my mutt-puppy Sparrow. Sam treats my dogs with care and loves them like her own. Communication is excellent and I love getting photos of my pups. I know I don't need to worry about them when they're in Sam's care.

Our previous dog sitter who is also a vet tech stopped dog sitting but gave us a great referral! Whiskered Pals Sam came right over and our Golden Retriever,Black Lab and Lhasa Apsos greeting to her was very positive! Sam was so helpful to our family when we had Ellie as a puppy. Sam handled her "high energy" beautifully. Not only did Ellie enjoy Sam coming to walk her, but we also began to rely on Sam's feedback. Sam always politely knew how to give us tips and feedback on how to help train Ellie. Sam treated Ellie like her own furbaby. I was quite apprehensive about leaving Misha for the first time anywhere so, I called Misha’s vet and asked her if she could recommend a place. Without hesitation, she recommended Best Friends pet Hotel in Avon Connecticut. I called and asked lots of questions. It sounded right. The morning I dropped Misha off, the attendant assured me that she would be well cared for, and I could call during the week as often as I liked to check on how she was doing. I waited a couple of days before calling and was told that the first day she was Not happy and not eating. From day two on she was happy, loved to play with the attendents and was eating well. No problems at all. I highly recommend Best Friends pet hotel. I plan on going on a three week vacation and will board Misha there for the entire time without any concerns for how well she’s being cared for.

My dogs love coming to doggy day camp but what really makes the difference at Best Friends in Avon are the staff. They are very friendly, professional and reliable . We also use the groomer and she is also excellent. Thank you for taking the best care of Hope and Milo !

This was the first time using best friends pet hotel in Avon CT and overall it was a pleasant experience. My dog had a great time and they said she was an angel there and was very social with the other dogs. Fair with pricing including added in perks. Only minor issue would be difficulties finding out the drop off hours and even though we got there later they told us for next time and still checked her in with no problems.

Very comfortable leaving my small dog there, they are very kind and gentle with him. I can call and check on him and they never make me feel uncomfortable. Staff is great!!

We booked a stay for our 2 goldens last summer while we were out of town and they had the best time! We got photos for reassurance, which was so nice. One of our dogs would get hives whenever he would be boarded or even went grooming because he would get so nervous, but this never happened to him with Best Friends. They come home happy every single time! We can’t recommend Best Friends enough!!

My dog loves going there. The staff Is amazing, especially Angel and Destiny. It’s very clean the dogs are very well taken care of and they have so much fun playing outside. I even had my dog room there and was very pleased.

My dog stay at best friends from 11/26 to 12/10/24 She looks healthy and happy! I personally will highly recommend them.

After a long day at Best Friends, Rodney is exhausted. The staff knows his silly mannerisms. He genuinely loves them back. My dog reportedly makes a new pup friend every visit. We feel fortunate to have this day care around the corner.

We full trust sending our dog here. He goes 1-2 times a week and gets so excited when we pull up. Owner and team members are wonderful!

Best boarding, the owner is so nice and all the staff have been great! They gave him a cute little scarf after his bath!

My dog is very attached and protective of me. He hates leaving my side and used to get severe anxiety with car rides. I tried socializing him with another daycare, but he wasn't happy about it. They were bigger and had more facility amenities, but he didn't want to go. When I started bringing him to my dog's daycare, things started to change. He started listening more often (he has gone through training, but he's very stubborn), he gets excited for the car, he's happier around strangers, and loves meeting new dogs on walks. He even tells me that he wants to go to doggie daycare (he gets his leash, and when we go outside, he heads to the car). When we get there and I open his door, he runs over to the entrance, full body wagging. He comes home happy and tired. Patty and the girls keep him and the other dogs safe, and he loves them and going to doggie daycare. I think that's the best a dog parent can ever hope for.

Corresponded with the owner to have my dog evaluated for the daycare services. The evaluation consisted of what breed of dog and how many days of daycare would be needed. Once disclosed what my dogs breed is (Boxer mixed with a mut, and a pit bull terrier) the owner stopped responding. I can only assume it was due to breed disclosure, which was confirmed through Embark DNA. Despite my dog being socialized and well trained, the owner chose to lead with prejudice, which reflects more on the business as a whole. Unfortunate to have this experience.

Very happy with My Dogs Daycare. My dog had a lot of anxiety about new people coming in contact with her. It was suggested by a trainer that we bring her to My Dogs Daycare to get her used to other people handling her and to tire her out. She always did great with other dogs so this was a great solution. We are so happy with the results! Katie (our dog) loves going there a few times a week. She used to tremble at the thought of getting in the car. When I tell her where we are going she jumps up and runs to the garage. Getting her in the car is so much easier now and she happily lets the staff take her by the leash and lead her to her friends. Very happy!

I have tried a few different daycares for my dog but none are quite like My Dog's Daycare. The owner gets to know you and your dog, and the staff is super friendly and knows my dog by name even though I don't live nearby so I don't go as frequently as I'd like! 4 stars because they stopped sending me invoices, even after I gave them $60 cash last time I went. I have no idea if I'm paid in full or owe anything!

My Dog's Daycare is a great place for a dog to stay and have fun all day long. And when dogs stay overnight, one of the staff members or Patty, the owner, sleeps over with them. How cool is that! I would highly recommend this wonderful and caring doggy-day-care!!

Great place! I have a Shih-Tzu and was kind of skeptical of the whole doggy day care scene with a toy dog. We visited a couple of places and I left each of them never wanting to send my dog there. I felt super comfortable when we walked into My Dog's Daycare and have been trusting them with our little guy for the past 6 months and have no complaints.They also have a Facebook page where they post photos and videos every day which is great to check out and see what the dogs were up to that day. I would highly recommend.

Don’t own a dog but I stopped by when I was running and ran out of water. The kind lady filled up my camelbak. I would definitely trust these people with my pets.

We adopted an eight year old dog who happens to be anti social with other dogs but loves people. Ivona and the staff worked with him so he would get the attention he needed when boarded. As the owner of a "problem dog", I was comforted that he would be in good hands at a home away from home. Our past energetic terrier dogs stayed at Cherry Brook Kennels and loved going there. I highly recommend their kennels for their commitment to the dogs well being and needs.

Cherry Brook took such incredible care of my dog, and they made me feel so comfortable. I struggle to leave her and we were away for 9 days! They posted daily pictures of her having fun every day, made sure she was happy and safe, and gave me a thorough update about how she was doing when I called in halfway through her stay. I’ll definitely leave her with Cherry Brook again.

I boarded my two dogs with Cherry Brook for a few weeks when I was away taking care of family. The entire staff was nothing short of amazing and took care of my dogs like they were their own. I wouldn't bring my pups anywhere else and will continue referring friends and family to them. Couldn't be more thankful for this Kennel. 10/10

Charlie loved his time at Cherry Brook Kennels! The staff was very kind and helpful as a new client. They were very responsive to my messages to make sure that he was having a fun time while I was away.

There are a lot of things to worry about when you are away for a week or so…house, cars, mail, etc. Without a doubt the biggest worry of all was the care of our two dogs. That being said we chose Cherry Brook for the care of our beloved pets a second time. Why you may ask? For one, is communication. Before and during their stay they return any questions you may have quickly and completely. Secondly, they post daily pics via the kennel’s FB site. You get pics of your pups playing and having a good time. Lastly, the staff. What more can I say. They are professional to say the least but more importantly, they really express a concern to make your dog’s stay a good one. I will without a doubt use them again in the future and have also recommended them to family and friends well. Great job Cherry Brook….Daisy and Georgie give you two paws up!

I had such good experience leaving my Miniature Dachshund Max here for a long 5 day weekend for my wedding! The facility is soo nice and clean and the owner and staff were so helpful and polite!! We loved that they posted a lot of pictures everyday on their facebook page! Made it super easy to check in and see how he was doing! Would highly recommend and I will definitely be using them again!!

Such a wonderful spot!!! The staff are so sweet and really take notice of your dogs and their personalities. The photos they upload, report cards, use of the application are all great and convenient. My girls a happy and tired girl every time I pick her up from daycare!

This is hands-down, the best boarding and grooming facility that my dog has ever been to. My sweet puppy had to stay here for an extended boarding stay of close to three weeks when I picked her up she was the happiest she had been. They had indoor outdoor runs that made her comfortable the entire time she was at the facility. I got daily updates and photos of her at play with the other puppy dogs. The staff is so kind and professional and even gave her a complementary bath on her way home. She smelled like heaven!! thank you so much for understanding what my pet means to me and Providing such a wonderful service for my sweet puppy dog!!

Kelsey is a miracle worker. Finding her and her training allowed us to keep our cattle dog Lailla! Kelsey takes the time to hear about the day-to-day life of your pet and then focuses on any pain-points you may be experiencing. She also ensures that all of your questions are answered to help the transition to being back home is successful. The work is now on us to continue enforcing the behaviors that Lailla learned. I can tell you that Lailla is a pleasure to have around and the correction techniques Kelsey taught us work very well. I would HIGHLY recommend Kelsey for any of your training needs. We used the doggy bootcamp 3 week program and it was beyond worth it. Thank you Kelsey!

Kelsey is amazing! She has been caring for our dogs for many years, we would never take them anywhere else. She is knowledgeable, kind, and loving with our dogs (Dexter & Dash). One dog is very skittish; however, he loves Kelsey so much, never runs/backs away and just wants to be as close as possible to her. We highly recommend Kelsey for your training and/ or boarding needs!!

I have had the pleasure of taking several different group classes with Kelsey. She is attentive to both her human and canine students, and I learn right along with my dogs. She is also extremely knowledgeable and is continuously expanding her knowledge and education. There is no one I would trust more with my dogs, and I know that both my dogs and myself are better from the skills we have learned. Looking forward to taking more classes in the future!

Kelsey is a wonderful trainer. Truly the dog whisperer! She is patient with any & all dogs and has a wealth of knowledge to adjust training styles to the needs of the owners and dogs. We’ve used her training with both our dogs (Building Confidence & Basic Obedience) and have already enrolled in another class (Ready, Set, Recall). We highly recommend her for any training needs. She offers wide variety of classes with varying times to accommodate schedules.

Kelsey is one of a kind. We use Kelsey for boarding and choose her every time we go away. Our dog Maple, is truly excited every single time we pull into Kelsey's driveway, and sad whenever we leave. Kelsey came recommended to us through the rescue we adopted Maple from as she previously fostered Maple. It was important to us to find a boarding environment that was not high stress for our dog, and Kelsey's home is just that! We drive 30 minutes to Kelsey's each way because she is that good. She treats your dog like family, constantly sends pictures, and communicates all the time with any questions or updates. She spoils and loves Maple just as much as we do. Kelsey and Cody truly feel like family and we are so thankful that we have them to trust with our girl!

We are so happy we were recommended Kelsey and Logically Canine by a friend. We take our dog there for daycare and also for overnight boarding and Kelsey is the best. She sends updates every other day when we are away and pictures of our dog so we know she’s doing great! She is very clear in her communication about hours and reaches out to see when we will be dropping and picking up our dog. Highly recommend Logically Canine!!

Kelsey is so great at what she does. She’s calm and you can tell she truly loves dogs and knows how to train them in a calm and effective way. Tiger leaves class very tired and a better dog.

Kelsey did incredible work with us and our anxious Berner! She has such a well rounded and calming approach to her training techniques. Really loved how thoughtfully she explained her reasoning for certain exercises, helping us as owners to better understand our dog and his behaviors, and also holding us accountable for the homework items laid out between sessions. Kelsey has taken such wonderful care of my dog, Bruno. The sense of comfort I feel not only knowing that he’ll be well cared for, but that he’ll have a great time with the pack, is invaluable. She takes amazing photos and celebrates the seasons with the dogs (see below for 4th of July and Christmas/pup nog photos). I appreciate her attention to detail, flexibility and her presence on social media.

Kelsey has been an amazing resource for the training of my puppy… I have a high energy breed and needed guidance and techniques to have a great dog. Highly recommend her training whether you have a puppy or an older dog. Logically Canine is the best!
