Animal lovers/rescuers - retired professional couple - dependable and kind :).
Amy and Eric went well beyond our expectations to care for Bodie, including care for a resolving health issue. Shay was a nice little companion for Bodie. Amy and Eric took excellent care of our house, pool, and plants. They kept in touch with us while we were away, sending daily photos and stories of Bodie. They included him on some local adventures. They are an engaging and fun couple who we enjoyed meeting. We would highly recommend them as sitters!

Adventurous but responsible! I enjoy visiting new places & have 20+ 5* reviews
We can’t recommend Rayna highly enough! She has cared for our two cats on three occasions, and each time, she’s gone above and beyond. Rayna isn’t just a housesitter; she’s become part of our family. During her most recent two-month stay, we had a family emergency when one of our adult children was in a bike accident and couldn’t reach anyone. Rayna immediately stepped in, rushed to her aid, and stayed with her at the hospital until her husband arrived. When we decided to extend our trip, Rayna wasn’t able to stay longer, but she still helped us by introducing our new sitter to the cats and making sure they were comfortable before she left. Rayna’s care and thoughtfulness are unmatched, and we can’t wait for her to come back!

Retired, non-smoking couple looking to travel while caring for houses and pets.
Jess and Matt have house/cat sat for us previously, so we were very reassured to know that they would be coming again. We didn’t worry at all while we were away, as we knew Gizmo and our home were in safe hands. We find them to be a very capable, respectful and friendly couple. They sent regular photo updates and we could tell that our cat was very settled - which was also apparent on our return. J&M communicated really well prior to the sit, letting us know when they had arrived in the country and the times they would be arriving and leaving. They cared for our home exceptionally well. They even topped up cat food crunchies and changed bedding, and the house was very clean and tidy which was joy to return home to. We would strongly recommend them as house/pet sitters. You’re welcome back anytime - thank you so much.

Animal & travel lover - dependable (Non-smoker, vaccinated & boosted)
Diane was incredibly organized and efficient. We had a lengthy video chat before the almost two-week sit. She asked many questions to ensure she understood my kitty's routine, habits, needs, and personality. Every day during the sit Diane sent one or more photos of my kitty with a cute caption. Another sitter took over before I returned home. She (the other sitter) reported that my apartment was very clean when Diane left. Additionally, she said Diane graciously shared information about the sit and was generous with her time.

Trustworthy couple will love and care for your pets and your home like our own.
If Debbie & Tom apply to sit your pet, it’s your lucky day! They are the best pet and home sitters EVER! They studied my welcome guide, were very communicative on their way to my home and were extremely punctual. They gave my dogs so much love and attention - special adventures, walks, cuddles and play time. My 2 dogs were so relaxed and happy when I returned. It was clear that Henry & Ivy thoroughly enjoyed their time with Debbie & Tom. Debbie & Tom let me know how everything was going throughout the sit. It was my first experience/pet sit with zeewoi. Boy I was thoroughly impressed with this experience. They left my home in immaculate condition - washing all the bedding/linens and making the bed. It looked like a cleaning crew had just come thru. There really isn’t a thing that could have gone better.

Experienced Sitters + Work from Home
Would whole-heartedly recommend Jessica, and would happily have her sit again! She was communicative about arrival and departure schedules, as well as with our doggie's status. She also left our home absolutely spotless!

Patricia was great to have as a house and pet sitter. She took really good care of our cats and was very friendly and trustworthy. She left our house in great shape too.

Designer/Organizer looking to help you and your fur babies!!
If the rating was to 10 stars, she would get 10 stars from me. Sensational sitter. The cats just loved her and were very settled with her. What a fabulous cat sitter. The house was great and there were no problems that Brittany couldn’t deal with.

Responsible, fun, and caring pet lover.
We can not say enough wonderful things about Julie Miller. She is great with our golden retriever , Lasso. Julie is very attentive and very tidy. Our home was spotless upon our return and Lasso was a very happy boy. Julie is welcome in our home anytime and we highly recommend her to sit for anyone wanting a mature and conscientious person to care for your home and pets.

Currently in Milwaukie, OR helping a family friend downsize.
Came back to a clean house and happy pets, would definitely have Sharon sit again.
Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.
I feel that Julia is simply the best person and pet sitter I could ask for. They really cared for our cat and gave him lots of attention. She is flexible, upbeat, reliable, considerate and great at communicating. I highly recommend Julia and Chris.
I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
We literally cannot say enough positive things about Susan and Miranda! They are the best! From start to finish, they did an amazing job communicating with us, giving our 3 (somewhat needy) cats extremely high quality care and tons of attention, and keeping our house clean and plants watered. They took adorable pictures of the cats and sent them to us several times a day, played with them and gave them so much love and affection, and when we got home the house was even cleaner than when we left. We even asked them for some tips on how they were caring for the cats because our cats seemed happier and more relaxed than ever when we returned home to them! This was by far our best cat/house sitter experience to date. We hope Susan and Miranda are available again in the future to sit for us and would invite them back without hesitation.
Kathryn was such nice and kind sitter that both of my boyfriend and me were grateful to have, including my cats!! My cats seemed having great time with her, being around her, chilling on couch with her, or even sitting on her. I got several photos of my cats from her with whort updates. I’m thankful that she let me do facetimes with her when I missed my cats. The house was clean and tidy when we came back. I definately will ask her again to sit my cats and house when I need. Thank you Kathryn!!:)
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kathryn! I needed to extend dates for the sit after we had set it up and she was able to accommodate this so was actually here from 10/4-20. She was timely and communicative throughout - and she is a very nice person. She kept the house really tidy and followed all instructions well. My cats took to her quickly. When I returned, they had been very well cared for and seemed fully content even though I'd never left them for long before. While away, I reached out to Kathryn by text several times regarding deliveries, etc. She was very prompt in responding and adept at handling issues as they arose. I highly recommend Kathryn as a house sitter - and would happily work with her again!
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!

They do an awesome job with our dog! Very friendly a d work with you to get get you the best service and care.
Nancy does a great job. My dog knows where he’s at and walks right in the door. Done quickly and he is never traumatized like the one in Clyde did my other dogs. Scooter acts like a king when he comes home feeling so soft and smelling so good.
After reading a few posts I need to clarify for future reviews.... Nancy is an older adult. She is the only groomer and does this from her business at home. She probably doesn't have Internet to even read or respond to these posts. She also doesn't answer her phone if she is working on a dog. She does well with smaller dogs and is affordable. I don't think she would be physically capable of doing large breeds or pit bulls.
Our Leia loved going there! Very nice groomers! We will be coming back!
Great people who loves everyone pets
Great with the dogs you’ll never have to worry if they are treated right here she really does love her job
Called to see a price to clip my dogs nails and was asked what I got and I said 2 pit bulls and I got a no no no I don't touch that. First off my dogs are not mean. Second my dogs are dogs not "that"
wonderful very friendly and good to the dogs my dog enjoys going there 5 stars
Called to get price on my dog and told them I have a Rottweiler pup and other said no and hung up on me when I called back they would not answer
Very good with my little fur buddy. He loves it there ❤
For 15 you can’t beat the price. Definitely worth it. I took my Nelly in the explained to me that I’d have to come get her when she’d have to pee. The cage was perfect size for her to freely move around and turn around in and even knock around her water in food because she is weird. The staff were super nice. Whenever we came in to walk her they would let me know how she’s was acting. The lady that was there in the morning was great she knew every dog by name. My pupper had a great time. I will definitely take her back
We were in a pinch because our hotel informed us our dog couldn't stay in the hotel alone even though she had a crate so we called Pet Chek for help while we visited Cedar Point. Rebecca and Joe really helped us out and we got our dog checked in on short notice. I really like how accessible Pet Chek is from the park and how attentive Joe was. He was very kind and really kept the place looking great. The price for placing our dog there was great. I understand why they can't walk them but it would be nice if they ever got more staff and space to be able to do that. I felt our dog was safe. Thank you!
Great staff, have been there for many trips up to Cedar Point! You need to bring your own food and come let your pup out throughout the day which is fine. I do wish that the first come first served mindest was applied to dogs being able to be put in a run instead of it being reserved for large dogs in case they show up for the day.
Good price $15 for the day. Air conditioned with friendly staff. They don’t walk your dog and you need to bring your own food. Water is provided. Nice large area to walk your dog mid day with parking available or you can walk over from the large parking lot for the park.
I had a great experience having my dog stay here while I was at Cedar Shores water park. It is clean and air conditioned. It is a smaller building. I appreciated that they have a protocol of only one customer and pet in the lobby at a time. Owners walk their pet to their crate/run. Staff do not handle the pets, so owners need to visit to let their pet out to relieve themselves and to stretch their legs. Staff will call the owner if the pet has an accident in their quarters so that the staff can go in and clean up the mess. Pet Check has several runs for large breeds. My dog is about 100lbs and it was enough space for him. Staff were all nice and made check in/out easy. I overall had a positive experience here.
Great place for your pet! It’s indoor and air conditioned so they will be comfortable. The staff can’t handle your dog, so you are responsible for stopping by to take them out for bathroom breaks, but I found it broke my day up nicely. They also provide water for your pet. Staff was lovely too!
Completely surprised on how this is ran. Don't waste your time. Find someone to watch you dog or another near by real kennel. When I went to pick up my dog she was covered in her pee. I was gone for 2.5 hrs. It's just sad and very cruel here. If you truly love your pets you would not bring them here. Lady at check in was super nice.
I went to cedar point and used the pet check for my poodle frosty. It made traveling with him very easy . The facility is nice and clean and it was air conditioned for the dogs . It cost $15 for the day . I absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting with your pet . Just make sure you plan to take your pet out for walks and bring food for them
This place is perfect for folks traveling with their dogs who want to spend a day at Cedar Point. It is essentially just a kennel with crates and small indoor runs. The staff cannot handle your dog so you are responsible for visiting to feed them and take them for bathroom breaks. Our dog is very relaxed and has low anxiety about new places and he did really great at the pet check. We would definitely use it again for him. However, we have had other dogs with higher anxiety would would have been miserable if put into this situation. Know your dog and do what's best for their personality and needs. Staff was all VERY kind and helpful.
It's fantastic. It's really just a monitored crate. But they generally provide water. You still need to stop by periodically to give your pet a walk and a little love, but that does break up the day nicely. Overnight accommodations and pet spa type services would be great when staying at the hotels or the cabins in the camp ground, but the staff has always been very friendly and I've used the service many times.
Kate is so caring and considerate when taking care of my dog. She sends personalized messages and updates after walks or drop in visits. I always felt very secure when entrusting her with my animal’s care. Highly recommend her services to anyone in the Sandusky area!
Kate was AWESOME with my three dogs! All of my dogs have completely different personalities and she made sure each one was taken care of and happy!! Definitely recommend her!
AMAZING! Our Jojo Loved every minute. Didn't want to leave the daycare.
Thank you Jamie!
Thanks Olivia!
Jessica is amazing! She gets my dogs in as soon as she can! We have been going to her since our 7 year old Golden was a pup now our new dog goes to her too! There always so clean and fresh smelling! Also she’s great with the dogs! Would definitely recommend!
Jessica is doing wonders with our new pup and us as owners! Our dog loves her and works well with her training at every session. She is a dog whisperer!
Jennifer was very quick in returning my call. Set up a group lesson for my dog the very next. She worked wonders with my dog Wade in just one class. Looking forward to the future classes. I highly recommend Chelsea Dog. A+++
Jessica, has aways done a, wonderful job of grooming my dogs she did a excellent job with my pomerain getting all the under growth hair off him She told me what type of brush I needed for my dogs an where to buy it. She is kind an pleaset with my pets. I would t go any where else.
Jessica is great with our dogs! Quick and painless nails for my pups! Thanks!
They are very caring of the Dogs and there master. She washes the animal with natural soaps no chemical in it.
A great place to pick up your holistic natural dog food. Or to kennel your dog if needed.
Absolutely wonderful cut on our dog.
They r never open and when it says they r they are never there.
Jessica is fabulous!
I can't say enough great things about these guys! They taught us so much in the process of training our girl. Later when we needed someone we could trust to board her for a week, they took great care of our pup! They are kind, understanding professionals and all around good people ❤️ 🐾 …
Jarrod and Sarah are fantastic and I highly recommend their training. Before we got our new puppy, we knew training would be a must. We did the board and train program and it helped us get a jump start on training the new member of our family. Jarrod and Sarah were available with any questions we had along the way and are very knowledgeable. You can tell they really care about the dogs. We plan on working with them in the future for the adult program as well!
Jarrod and Sarah are amazing! I would recommend them to anyone looking for some help with training. They are very dedicated and knowledgeable.( not to mention wonderful people) They helped me so much with my golden doodle Archie. He had a lot of behavioral issues. I never thought I would be the dog mom that could actually take her dog on walks in public settings and outdoor dinning. We have enjoyed all of that and more thanks to Cold Water K9. I can’t say enough good things about these two. The in home sessions were a game changer. I needed the training as much as Archie did. They really care about the people and their pets that they work with. Thanks so much! We appreciate you two so much 😊
AMAZING work with our dog Rocky. Before Cold Water K9, Rocky barked at everything outside the house, noises inside the house and our guests. The doorbell was a huge trigger. He was awful on walks and traveling to pet friendly hotels. Lastly he barked at other dogs. He was the complete opposite of our first dog and these behaviors left us clueless. My husband wanted to get rid of Rocky and Cold Water K9 came to his rescue! We now know several commands to keep Rocky in check. The barking is at an appropriate level, he plays well with others and LOVES to travel. We are able to control him on walks and bring him to pet friendly restaurants and businesses. His favorite is going to Chipotle and the bank(he’s so good at the bank they love him there.)My husband has grown to love him and so have our guests. Lastly, when we go on vacation without Rocky we know he has a comfortable and safe home boarding with Cold Water K9. We are so grateful for Jarrod and Sarah.
Luger is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog that has a strong prey drive, was uncontrollable on a leash, a terror to the UPS and FedEx drivers and had a weak to fair recall behavior. All our fault. We live on some acreage where deer, turkey and other wildlife roam. Although we did not see aggression, we feared he would eventually bite someone in his uncontrolled excitement. We contacted Coldwater K9 and entered him into their board and train program. Luger stayed with them in their home for four weeks. We were sent frequent videos of his training exercises and progress. The first day of his stay, we received a video of Luger walking with a loose leash by Jared's side. Unbelievable to us. We were able to meet with the trainers, Jared and Sarah part way through the training for some hands on instruction. That training and instruction did not stop after Luger came home. We received regular visits at different locations with Coldwater K9 to continue our training. We always feel that we are able to call them and receive information or a hands on lesson when we need it. The training we received with Luger was the best thing we ever did for him....and us. Luger walks well on a leash and we feel that we can take him anywhere that dogs are allowed. He has learned to ride well and without anxiety in the car. His recall is nearly instant, and he has learned how to be calm with our guests. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Coldwater K9. Exceptional! We should have done it years ago. Thank you
After adopting a bully breed from a local pound and realizing we needed some help, we consulted with a few trainers and instantly knew that Cold Water K9 offered everything that we needed! We began with private in-home lessons and after a few weeks, decided upon the Board and Train program. Our boy, Fozzy, struggled with leash biting, leash pulling, and impulse control. Under Jarrod and Sarah’s guidance, we witnessed a miraculous transformation in not only our pup but within ourselves as well. Fozzy is now a pleasure to walk in our neighborhood and beyond. He maintains a loose leash, doesn’t try to chase geese or wild critters we may encounter on our walks and I am actually able to walk him by myself while pushing our senior dog in her stroller. We live in an HOA that doesn’t allow fences and we especially appreciate the recall training so that we can more safely enjoy being outside in our backyard together. Fozzy behaves well in stores and vet visits which is a huge change from when he was newly adopted. Recently while visiting a busy local vet clinic in an environment with some unruly dogs, we received many compliments about his behavior in the chaotic environment. If I’m being honest, I’m pretty sure Fozzy loves his “Uncle Jarrod” just as much, if not more, than his mom and dad as evidenced by how happy he is whenever he sees him for lessons or boarding and can’t wait to jump in the car with him! Getting along with cats was a huge priority for me as our five cats are a huge part of our family and Jarrod made special efforts to work with Fozzy and introduce him to their own personal cats. Entrusting Jarrod and Sarah with our furbaby was the very best decision we could have made. Every day, Fozzy’s changed behavior reminds us of reasons to be grateful for Jarrod and Sarah. They taught us not only how to advocate for our bully bred dog but also enabled us to build a harmonious relationship with our big-headed goofball. I would not hesitate to recommend Cold Water K9 to anyone.
Life changing! I am a firm believer that what we put into our dogs, is what we get out! We have two very different German Shepherds from two very different rescue situations. I have grown up with this breed, but these situations were unique. We trusted Jarrod & Sarah with our girls for quite a long time (They were continually in communication with us with progress and pictures). It was really hard being without our dogs, but it was necessary & worth the investment. Both of our dogs were both almost starting over. Both are so well trained now that we use e-collars to a minimum. Our commands do the trick. We have peace in our home, yard, neighborhood & on our travels. We are very active with our dogs & off-leash training was very important to us. Both Jarrod and Sarah are smart, talented, kind & passionate about their work. As personable as they are, they don’t lose focus. They are committed to both the dog & owner. They listened to our needs & exceeded our expectations. Most importantly they worked us often to reinforce the training taught that is necessary once back at home. If your dogs are as big a part of your lives as ours are, then I highly recommend Coldwater K-9!
They took our good boy and made him a better boy!! Our dog was well cared for during the board and train. They trained him to be a learner so we could continue to train him on new things. Truly a blessing to have them train our dog.
My husband and I recently welcomed an English Lab puppy, Piper, into our family. Although we have had dogs in the past, we have never put our dogs through any formal training. Because our new puppy was so young, I was a little nervous to send her off all by herself for the three week stay. However, my fears were quickly assuaged and I soon realized those fears were unnecessary as well. Jarrod and Sarah are pros! They communicated with us daily - they sent pictures and videos and we were able to follow along with Piper’s progress. They also brought her to our home once a week, so it helped me not miss her so much. The training was totally worth the investment. Prior to training, Piper was jumping on us, she was mouthy, and taking her on a walk was a chore. Those bad habits are gone! Walking her now is a dream - the leash is totally loose in our hands. Piper listens and has focus. They also spent quite a bit of time teaching us how to work with her so that we know how to reinforce all that they have taught her. The follow up visits once she came home were so helpful. Piper was always so excited to see Sarah and Jarrod when they came to our house for the follow up visits (which were included in our training package). Jarrod and Sarah are incredibly knowledgeable and professional and I can’t recommend them enough! If you are looking for trustworthy and compassionate professionals then I highly recommend Coldwater K-9!
I was introduced to Jarrod and Sarah two years ago. I had a Cavapoo puppy and Jarrod trained me how to have a well disciplined pup. Since, Gracie's training, I have used Cold Water K9's boarding services. Sarah and Jarrod are very reliable and show my pup a lot of love. Gracie loves her Home Away from Home. I highly recommend Cold Water K9 Sharon Lichtcsien Sandusky, Ohio
