Never cancelled a sit, all boosters, non-smoker, traveling solo
Maureen was a treat from start to finish with our home and cat, Poppy! She is perhaps one of the most organized sitters we have encountered on zeewoi. Her resume speaks for itself. She was eager to sit, despite it being a somewhat short notice (about 10 days). Upon arrival we received pictures of Poppy to let us know that she was in good hands. We also got daily updates in the evenings, which we enjoy. Maureen stayed at our home during the coldest stretch of the year, and came prepared with heating blankets, etc, which we appreciated as we only have space heaters currently. We would be happy to host Maureen any time. Her communication and experience are certainly top notch and your pet will be in great hands!

Quiet, reliable and responsible cat (and small dog) lady
This was our first time using a Trusted Sitter, and I'm so grateful Elena chose to stay with our precious pup. He's a senior dog that requires a little extra attention, and Elena was so kind and caring with him. From our very first zoom call to get to know one another, I knew Elena would be a great fit. She was very organized, told us what she needed to know, and was very flexible when our dates changed a bit. Elena sent several pictures of Beamer every day. My kids eagerly awaited to see what their brother was up to while we were away. He looked so happy in all of his pictures. She took him for walks and gave him plenty of cuddle time. Elena also took such great care of our home. We arrived back to a spotless house! Our experience with Elena was more than I could have hoped for using Trusted Sitter. It was like having an old friend stay over. I highly recommend Elena, and hope she will be available to stay the next time we go on vacation!

Non-smoking remote worker eager to love your pets as my own!
Monica was an outstanding house sitter. She communicated well, took very good car of our cat, and was very gracious after a falling tree limb took out the internet. We would definitely invite her to sit again.

Traveling professional with a love for new experiences!
Sharon was just a wonderful sitter. She has an engaging, positive personality and is full of energy. We were happy with the updates and photos of 2 content Goldens, whether on a trail or chilling by her feet. It is so wonderful to go away knowing your fur babies are loved and cared for in their own home. Will need to come up with a trip so we can invite this special lady back.

Flexible, reliable, & adventurous married couple. Animal loving + Travel ready!
Jordan and Alexander were absolutely wonderful pet and house sitters during our 3.5 weeks away. Jordan kept in contact with us with pictures and updates about our dog, and it was clear both she and Alexander are real animal lovers. They took wonderful care of our home, plants and garden as well, and we came back to a clean and tidy house and a happy dog. If they had any questions, they would just ask, and they took care of everything that was needed while we were traveling. We highly recommend them for any house and pet sit opportunity, and hope they will come back to our home again next time we go away. Thank you, Jordan and Alexander!

Warm, responsible sitter. Equally a dog/cat and indoor/outdoor person.
Amara is so friendly to humans and dogs alike. It is clear she loves hanging with dogs and knows how to take care of them. She did a great job with my large dog for a week, sent regular updates and communicated consistently. She also treated the house well and left the place very clean. I hope to have her back soon, as does my pup!

Complete Peace of Mind While You Travel: Loving Care for Your Pets and Home
Maeve was very communicative and kept us updated on our pups and house during her stay. Prior to her visit, she was very organized with a list of questions so she was well informed before she arrived. The dogs seemed happy and well cared for while we were gone. Recommend her to others.

Ms. Dr. Doolittle
Sharon took great care of our two dogs! She sent pictures and updates frequently. The house was kept neat and clean and all of the plants were taken care. 5 stars.
The best cat sitters ever! They loved our cats and spent so much time playing with them and making sure they were happy! We had photos and videos every day with funny little messages and we came home to two very happy, healthy cats. The house was spotless and they even washed the linen and towels! They left us some cute Easter presents and breakfast shopping in the fridge, as we were returning after a long flight. We would definitely recommend Michael and Jeanne to anyone and hope they will come back to Teignmouth in the near future. Thanks very much for looking after our beautiful cats and our home x
We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.
Stefany helped me out big time by stepping in when I asked. She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. She took great care of my two cats and home and I very much appreciate it!
Susan and Miranda are amazing! I've had the pleasure of working with many sitters and they are truly exceptional. They were great at keeping in touch, sent lots of updates, asked good questions, really bonded with the cats, clearly very experienced working with animals and understanding their needs, and generally lovely to deal with. They were really patient putting up with a whole bunch of deliveries and even assembled a spare bed! They also left the place spotless with clean sheets on the bed. I'm pretty sure the cats loved Susan and Miranda more than us by the end of their stay! I'd highly recommend them to anyone and would love to have them stay again any time.
Toby and Chloe were one of the best house sitters we have ever had! As a small animal vet I have seen many types of pet sitters and these guys are top notch. Our pets are not easy either. We have special needs dogs, cats on medication, dogs with behavioral issues, horses, chickens, goats and a large (100 lb) Sulcata tortoise who needed close monitoring of the temperature in his barn. Everyone was thriving and happy when we came home. They read through the packet and asked thorough, thoughtful questions. They went above and beyond grooming, mucking and grazing the horses and goats everyday. They chopped greens and fruit daily for our tortoise. If we had known how amazing they were we would have booked a 3 week trip instead! Can't recommend them enough.
I highly recommend Daniel as a pet sitter and house sitter! He took care of Pipa for over three months this winter and did an outstanding job. From the first day, it was clear that he had a genuine love for animals and a great deal of experience with pets. He was very attentive to his needs and always made sure he was comfortable, well-fed, and had plenty of playtime. In addition to his pet-sitting duties, Daniel also went above and beyond by processing my postal mail and keeping the house well-organized. He was very responsible and reliable, always arriving on communicating, putting the bins out, and watering the plants on time, and keeping me updated with photos and messages. I felt completely at ease knowing that my cat was in such good hands and that my home was well-cared for while I was away. When I returned from my trip, Pipa was happy, healthy, and well-adjusted, thanks to Daniel's excellent care. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone in need of a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet and house sitter!
Elyse was one of the best pet sitters we've ever met! Couldn't recommend her more. We hope she stays at our place again. She sent many pictures of our beloved cats throughout our absence. We returned to our cats seeming relaxed and happy as ever. She also left our apartment sparkling clean. 10/10 :)
If Macie and Roman ever apply to your post for a house or pet sit, I strongly encourage you to jump at the. offer. You will not be disappointed. They are among the top (if not the top) sitter I've ever had and I've been on this site for years. Primarily, they are very organized. In the weeks and days leading up to the sit, Macie and Roman kept me abreast of their plans and status. I felt very comfortable in the days leading up to the sit because I knew the plan we made to exchange the keys and walk them through the instructions would work as planned. Second, Macie and Roman really care. When they got to my apartment after a very long morning of traveling, I explained the care instructions and they were very attentive and cared about the details - asking very specific questions on how to care for my cat and apartment. I had some pretty specific rules about how to feed my cat and take care of him and Macie and Roman followed those exactly. Third, Macie and Roman make you feel comfortable while you are away. I got daily or twice daily updates about my cat. I got pictures which made me feel like my cat was having a good time. My cat came out of hiding very quickly and was snuggling with them and letting them hold him. It was so nice to see the pictures of them all bonding! Macie and Roman have a calming energy towards animals for sure! Macie and Roman were also very responsive when I reached out first - replying within 30 minutes. I really appreciated that. Fourth, Roman and Macie will take good care of your apartment/house. I came back to a SPOTLESS apartment. The towels were washed. The apartment had been vacuumed. The kitchen was clean. The dishwasher had been run. Everything was in its place when I returned. Honestly, cleaner than when I left it which is difficult since I am a very clean person. Macie and Roman also respects your property. We had a room we asked them not to enter and they respected that. In short, Macie and Roman are amazing. I would have them back in a heartbeat. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them. Ask Macie and Roman for my number.
Amazing sitters - I feel so fortunate to have had them stay. Chapeau was treated to daily walks and belly rubs, and my cat Tica was overflowing with contentment from having been taken care of so well. The house was cleaner than I left it and I was treated to a nice note and a lovely candle upon my return. Also, they left a checklist of item that they had done while here. Truly above and beyond!
Caroline was a fabulous sitter and looked after our cat and the house beautifully. She is sensible and very self-sufficient but also kept us informed. We came home to a happy cat and a tidy house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others and hope she will sit for us again in the future!
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home for free at Zeewoi.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $20 per visit, per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Zeewoi.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Zeewoi cat sitters for free, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
My doggies and I love The Dog Coop! The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about my doggies, Phoebe and Bruno. My two pups are always so excited to go, and I can tell they have a great time when they visit. They even posted them for their birthday 🥺. Scheduling is super easy, and I always feel confident knowing I can contact the staff whenever needed. One of my dogs has a history of being nervous around men, but the staff went above and beyond to work with him, and he's comfortable with the male staff members. It means a lot to me to see how much effort they put into making sure every dog feels safe and happy. I couldn't be happier with the care my dogs receive here.
My partner & I got a new puppy a few months ago and we’re feeling unexpectedly overwhelmed with our work schedule. After a lot of research and few bad experiences with other dog sitters from Rover, we decided to take our puppy to try the Dog Coop. They are open early (which helps) and the staff are really friendly and understanding. I The staff’s faces light up when they talk about each dog’s highlights that day. They sometimes send me updates and pictures throughout the day. Their instagram is updated a few times a day with cute updates. Our puppy Moose LOVES this place! The socialization and environment are amazing. Our pup hates being in his crate for too long without us there. For overnight boarding, they are cage-free and each dog gets their own bed. Our pup loved the boarding process. I haven’t met the owner Juli (?) officially yet, but I’ve heard great things. Our pup saw Juli from afar when we last dropped him off for daycare, and he was so happy to see her - which is awesome because he can be nervous sometimes. She recognized him instantly, gave him love and led him back to his friends. It was reassuring to see that warmth and care from the business owner as a nervous dog mom. I thought I would use this place occasionally for daycare due to finances, but it’s made a huge difference for our happy puppy and has been really great - so we are taking him much more often. They have pretty good discounted rates if you buy from their packages. Trust me, this place is worth every penny.
Judi and her team at the Dog Coop genuinely care about your dog. I have a dog who needs some special attention for safety, and they made sure to adjust protocol for him. Judi is also very kind and wants to get to know her customers—it’s not just a business for her, it’s a personal love! Really grateful Banjo and I have found this wonderful spot for him to be when he can’t be with me.
We love the Dog Coop!! The owner Judi has been walking both our dogs for over five years now and we are thrilled that she has grown her business into a full dog daycare and boarding! We trust Judi with both our dogs fully, and our senior dog especially has thrived under Judi's care in ways we never expected and really come out of her shell! Her and her team are so welcoming and excited to be with the dogs. The facility is comforting and feels like home to the dogs. There are no crates and they have tons of play areas as well as a zen room and couches for when the hounds need a break. After having some terrible experiences at other DC doggie daycares, we are so happy to now send our hounds to the Dog Coop - a true pet loving business
So happy to have recently found The Dog Coop for my 7 month old giant puppy. Louie loves play, and loves all dogs, and humans, but doesn't rest well without support... yet. Judi and the other employees help him to rest in a quiet place so he gets the play and the relaxation he needs. All staff have been responsive and kind to Louie and myself, and Louie comes home happy, and tired. Judi is an absolute dog lover that's kind and patient. I have seen her walk dogs in my old building for 6+ years, and she always provided them with the patience they deserve. Judi has a good thing going; a large space, kind employee's, and a small dog to human ratio. Three cheers for The Dog Coop! (Sometimes there's a cutie little pic waiting for you at pick-up!)
Our dog absolutely loves going to the Coop. He drags me in the door, and begs to go into the play area as soon as we get there. It is the BEST thing for an energetic young dog on our long in-office days. Bonuses: it's easy to drop off and hop on metro, and it's locally owned. We love the Coop!!
The Dog Coop is the best! Its clear that the owner, Judi, and her staff love dogs. They go out of their way to make it a happy, comfortable place for all pups. My dog has seizures and some other related issues, and they have been wonderful in dealing with his special needs both for daycare and boarding. I've tried taking him to other corporate doggy daycares and the difference is HUGE. I'm so happy to have the Dog Coop in the neighborhood!
Can't say enough good things about The Dog Coop! We have a very large mastiff puppy who suffers from severe anxiety and were very nervous about finding a day care and boarding location where she would not only be safe and well cared for, but also have a great time (she loves other dogs!). We found that and more at The Dog Coop. The owner, Judi, is amazing and her love of dogs and commitment to putting their best interests first runs through everything she does. We're looking forward to taking Munchkin here for years to come. So grateful Judi created such a wonderful space for dogs to thrive.
We had an amazing experience here!!! All the staff we met are amazing, the owner Judi is truly a dog lover who cares sooo much for all the dogs who are there. We had our pup Holly boarding for 8 days while my wife and I went on a special vacation to Hawaii, and let me tell you Holly had a blast!! I was really nervous about leaving her for so long at first especially because we just got her 3 months ago and we really really have bonded tightly already, but watching the videos on the instagram channel and talking with Judi via email put all our worries at ease. Holly had an amazing time and made lots of new friends. They do all types of activities with the dogs such as arts and crafts and playtime. It is a kennel-free facility as the dogs are given free roam of the coop and it is truly a playground for the doggies. I couldn’t imagine leaving our girl anywhere else. I highly recommend The Dog Coop, 10/10. We will absolutely be back for any boarding or day care we need for Holly. Also they are extremely flexible about customizing the plan to your dog. We have Holly on a fresh food diet subscription (The Farmers Dog) and they were able to keep the food refrigerated and they will keep the dog on whatever regiment and schedule you don’t home. Thank you so much!
Just wish we had found The Dog Coop sooner for our 13 month old pup. She just plays all day with other amazing dogs and staff. I really feel comfortable leaving our little girl in their capable and loving hands! Best deal in town!!
I had the pleasure of installing some signage at this business. What an operation! I saw so many happy puppies and puppy parents in my short stay. Stefanie and her team are absolutely stellar with the fur babies. The trainer was very impressive in his skillset. And the property was extremely clean, warm and inviting.
What a great place. My daughter is new to the DC area and needed to find a place for her dog. The first meet did not happen due to paperwork from the vet so we had to reschedule. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The design of facility is really nice and the fact that the dos can be viewed by owners is great. My daughter's dog was only there for a few hours at first, but was exhausted after, which it was she needed.
Happy paws has taken such good care of our dog during day care and for boarding. Our dog loves all the people who work there and they clearly love him back. John the lead trainer has given me very helpful behavioral and training tips when asked, and they also recently started working on skills with the dogs in daycare. I can’t say enough positive words about Happy paws.
I am so thankful that I found Happy Paws - Stefanie and her wonderful staff. My puppy, Satchmo has such a good time with all of the folks that work there and his doggie friends! This is a great place to get healthy, fun socialization for your dog. I appreciate them so much!
I really appreciated being able to leave my daughters Westie at Happy Paws while I was dog sitting for a few days and also needed to go to work. The owner, Stefanie, set up a time when I could bring Max by to see how he would do and after observing him with the other dogs for a few minutes, she let him stay for the day. Max has not had a lot of interaction with other dogs and after a few days at Happy Paws, he seems much calmer and well behaved. Stefanie offered several training tips which have been extremely helpful. She even let me bring him at the last minute when I needed to extend my dog sitting commitment - my daughter was in labor and was delighted to be able to watch Max being so well cared for on the live stream camera, which helped take her mind off things! Thank you Stefanie, Devin and the entire Happy Paws team for helping us get through a difficult week and for giving Max such good attention! He’s doing great with the new baby, btw.
The owner and trainer were exceedingly nice when we came in to inquire about day care about a month ago. Subsequently, we signed up for a “package” because they said my dog had to get “used to” the facility and people and “make friends” with the other dogs 🙄 I purchased a $375 package. Every time thereafter that I came in, the owner couldn’t be bothered to look up from the computer screen or even make a pretense of trying to remember us. I could easily understand if this happened during busy times, but my dog and I were the only ones in the waiting area, patiently and awkwardly waiting for some sort of acknowledgement. When I came to pick my dog up, the trainer who was at the front desk would comment that “the caffeine had worn off” and he’d be with us and, oh yeah- who are you again? These were the same seemingly nice people who quickly sold us a package the first time we came. Today, I was angrily scolded by another happy paws employee for taking my dog’s harness off after we entered the waiting area. I did this because I thought she was coming out to take my pup, but again I was left standing because they seemed to me, too busy to bother coming around the counter to greet us. I understand I made an unintentional mistake, but the aggressiveness was unnecessary. Nobody was coming in or out if the front doors, so we weren’t endangering anyone. Also, too many dogs in a crowded space and no outdoor potty breaks made me grateful to accept the offered refund for the remaining unused hours I had purchased. As I stated to the owner at the time, this wasn’t the solution for which I had hoped. Happy paws turned out to be not so happy. Doggy day care is also a people business. Petsmart dog boarding in Bethesda has a much better doggie day camp program and caring employees, so we’ll continue to combat the traffic for the extra few miles it takes us to get there- it’s definitely worth it!
We have taken our dog to Happy Paws for over 10 years for mostly day care but also, occasionally, for boarding and recommend them highly. The management and staff work tirelessly to provide a safe, clean, and bright environment for the dogs in their care and are very understanding about accommodating reasonable individual pet needs. When checking in on the camera, I often see the staff sharing affectionate interaction with the dogs in their care. Also, the team members are very courteous and caring with their pet parent clients.
We are so lucky to have Happy Paws in the Tenleytown community. A member of my family has a fear of dogs, and they have been working with John at Happy Paws on effective strategies to get more comfortable with dogs. John is wise, patient, and clearly cares about dogs and their people. Thanks Happy Paws!
Me and my dog couldn't be happier with Happy Paws. They let me bring my new rescue dog for free MANY times prior to boarding just to make sure she was 100% comfortable with being left there. The staff are incredibly accommodating, attentive, and caring and run a very clean and efficient operation. The web cam is a really nice touch for when you want to check in on your dog.
My dog loved going here even though he didn't play much with other dogs. The employees were so very sweet and gave him so much love. The prices have gone up in the last few years but that's expected. I wish there was something like this in the area with an outdoor area but they did a great job keeping the place clean immediately after a dog went to the bathroom. Sometimes the cleaning supply smell will come home with your dog but it was never chemical smelling or gross and it's better then them feeling dirty or smelling like pee or anything else. We stopped going because I didn't need it anymore but we stopped in to say hello occasionally and they always remembered my dog and gave him love. It's a safe place to socialize your dog and allow them to get tired during the day.
We connected with Susie shortly after we adopted a Westie mix from the animal shelter. Our dog (Sophie) dealt with reactivity issues when we went outside for walks. Susie worked with us extensively to both improve Sophie's comfort level around other dogs and also how we could distract her through the use of positive reinforcement and clicker training. We greatly appreciated Susie's time and her willingness to ago above and beyond to help with with Sophie. She came to us for training, joined us in our nearby park (Meridian Hill Park), and even offered up her building front yard for long leash training. She provided necessary tools to help us and was all around a great trainer to work with. We can't recommend her highly enough.
Susie is an excellent trainer- she has helped us to zero in on our dog’s behavioral triggers and needs. She’s also been a fantastic dog sitter and our dog ADORES her. Would recommend to anyone!
We've had a great experience with Susie. She is very caring and wonderful with the dogs. Great communication and follow-ups. We've had her out to our house twice to help with our transition to having 2 dogs and she has been so helpful. Going to take our younger dog to her upcoming training classes. Looking forward to working with her more.
Susie really helped our pack out with not just one but two dogs getting to know each other and the city better. Susie really took us in when we needed help the most. Over the months I felt like Susie did not only help the dogs but also even me in comforting and supporting us during our transition into a new family.
Susie is a wonderful dog trainer and I would recommend her to anyone. She gave us several critical survival tips when we had a lab puppy and infant baby all at once. You can tell she cares about the wonderful creatures she works with and is also a very accommodating person when life comes up. Thank you Susie!
Susie is fabulous. I adopted a 2 year old pit mix in May 2023 and was totally lost. I wanted a trainer in the neighborhood who would teach me how to be a good dog parent. Susie helped guide me and my pup into being a cohesive team, helping me teach my dog not to pull, jump, etc while dealing with my neuroses as a first time dog owner! Susie really cares about you and your dog and it shows. In addition to being a great trainer, she's also a fabulous dog sitter - she always sends me picture updates and my dog has a blast with her.
Susie is fantastic! She’s knowledgeable and kind, and she was a huge help with instilling basic training in a newly adopted puppy (and us too). Months later, we still use her techniques frequently, and we know who we’ll call if we ever need support in the future. Highly recommend!
Susie is top-notch and amazing to work with! We adopted a dog, who was very timid and scared of almost everything and Susie was super knowledgeable in helping us develop a training plan. She is patient and not judgmental at all, which I very much appreciated being a first-time dog owner.
Susie is an excellent dog trainer! My dog is a rescue who was in the shelter for a very long time and didn't have any training. This is my first dog, so I also have a lot to learn. Susie is great with my dog, very supportive, and helps me feel comfortable as I learn how to engage with my dog. I also like that she uses positive reinforcement and clicker training. I saw huge improvements even after the first session! We've done three sessions together so far and made a lot of progress. She also provides detailed follow up after each session with tips for things to work on on my own. Highly recommend reaching out to Susie!
Susie is wonderful! We've been working with her for our puppy Evie, and Evie just adores Susie. Susie has taught us so much and we really see Evie's behavior improving. Susie is also great training our two young kids (7 & 10) to help with the puppy. We couldn't recommend her more.
I have been employing Fetch! for my pet care needs for well over a decade now, perhaps 15 years (it's been a long time!). Without exception, the sitter (Jenny) has always gone above and beyond to satisfy every need while I'm away from home, not only for my pets, but in ensuring my home is secure during and between visits and in collecting mail and informing me of anything else that requires my attention (water leaks, flooding, etc.). In addition, the sitter has been wonderful in administering medications properly when needed and in cleaning litter boxes, food dishes, and eating/waste areas as needed. The sitter has also made time on every visit to play with my cats, which I can tell from photos that they've really enjoyed! I greatly appreciate the photographs Jenny sends after each visit, but I have always had complete peace of mind when I'm away, due to the fantastic communication she provides. Lastly, the management and staff of Fetch! have provided excellent administrative support in adjusting scheduling changes to accommodate my schedule. In my opinion, the service provided by Fetch! is worth every penny!
Silver Spring Fetch is awesome! Their sitter Dawn became a part of our family. My cats love her!! I always felt better when I know that Dawn was watching over my fur babies and appreciate the great care that she gave them.
Fetch has been a godsend for us. You've looked after our cats for over a decade, and we are always able to enjoy our time away from them secure in the knowledge that they are being well taken care of. Their primary sitter, Stephenie, is particularly great and always sends us the best pictures of the cats!
We really appreciate the experience our cat had with her Fetch sitters because we know she was well taken care of by people who care about her and love cats. We appreciate the ability to communicate regularly while traveling it's great peace of mind.
Fetch has had my back at times when I have had to leave my cats in an emergency. Short notice, but no problem . . . Total peace of mind. Thank you Fetch, Jordan, and Alysa. Ya'll are the best in the biz!
Love Fetch! They take great care of my dog both on walks and overnight stays. Strongly recommend.
We have been using FETCH for several years (about 6-7?). I cannot recommend this company more highly. Originally, FETCH came to our house in Kensington. When we moved further out in the county, FETCH accommodated us even though we were not in their usual walking area. Lorena has been walking our pup ever since, at least 3 years. Our pup loves Lorena who is completely focused on her care the entire time she is with her. Lorena knows exactly what our dog needs and she has special games she plays with her. (Hiding treats around the room when she leaves!). I attached one of Lorena's daily pictures of our dog. FETCH also accommodates our crazy, inconsistent work schedules. Over the years, their service has improved with digital walk diaries, online client portals and better customer service. We do not provide people with the keys to our home lightly. FETCH is licensed and bonded and they really check out their walkers thoroughly. We would not trust anyone else to care for our pup, especially now that she is aging. FETCH is a premium service, but the service and sense of trust we get from knowing they can be there for our dog is well worth it
I am new to Fetch! but have nothing but good things to say about my experience with them. Their online system makes scheduling visits, paying invoices, and receiving updates very easy and organized. Jenny, in particular, is such a pleasure to work with. She is professional, punctual, and thorough. Her post-visit updates with pictures and commentary provided much peace of mind while I was away. I have a blind, senior cat who is a little needier than the average cat, but I know he's in great hands with Jenny.
Absolutely love this service! Fetch is so reliable, I love that I’m always matched with the same sitter. Shout out to Connor. Connor comes to our home every time we’re out of town, our two cats love him, and, most importantly, I always feel safe having him in my home. Connor plays with my girls, takes pictures, and leaves a diary note in the app telling me about their day. I look forward to those updates when I’m abroad! I also have the peace of mind knowing that Connor is not an independent contractor, so if he’s ever sick or unavailable, Fetch will send a new sitter out to take care of my cats. All around 5 stars. Easy to use app and service.
I love how responsive and caring our dog walker is. I also appreciate the office staff and their thoughtfulness and engagement.
You will not find better dog walkers, or better humans, in NW DC! These folks set the bar high and then raise it higher. Underdogs have walked our two dogs for the past five years. When we moved from U Street to Park View, we were so happy that Greg and company could continue walking them. Every walker that we have worked with at Underdogs has been professional, punctual, responsive, and most important of all extremely loving toward our dogs! This is a small business that we are so proud to support. Throughout COVID, they have been steadfast. When we were stuck working from home, it was a joy to hand the dogs off each day and have a socially distanced chat. If you’re getting ready to go back to the office, definitely contact Underdogs. They will go above and beyond for your dogs every day.
We have been using UnderDogs for almost five years now and could not be happier with their services. It offers such peace of mind to know how well UnderDogs operates and cares for their furry charges. They are reliable, responsive and most importantly, trustworthy. Our primary walker (Thomas) and the rest of the team have been patient, kind and caring with both dogs that each have had their unique quirks. UnderDogs has been amazing throughout the pandemic as well and we continued walks throughout because the consistency and socialization they offer for our dog is so important. If you're looking for a stable, reliable and consistent dog walking service, I would not hesitate to hire UnderDogs. Love you, UnderDogs team!
Underdogs is absolute best! Greg is wonderful to work with, he is responsive and friendly, and his website is very easy to use. Thomas is the absolute best too! He took my little dog for 5-6 walks a week for the past 6 months and always let me know how the walks went, and I trusted that my dog was in great care. On two separate occasions Thomas arrived to find my dog had had an accident (from an upset tummy issue) and he sent me texts and helped to clean up and make my dog feel better. It was a huge relief while I was away knowing that my dog was in good hands. I can't say enough great things about Underdogs.
UnderDogs dog walking is truly wonderful, I'd recommend to anybody looking for a reliable and trustworthy dog walker in DC. Thomas was great at taking the time to get to know my dog and very communicative. He was very knowledgeable about how to handle dogs in the pack to make sure everything went well. Thomas, Greg, and the UnderDogs team have set high expectations for any future dog walkers!
I am grateful to Underdogs for all the services they provided for my dog. They were kind, responsive, and able to help me ensure he had the best quality of life possible during my work schedule. I have never had any issues, and everyone is a delight to work with. Even more importantly, if I ever needed last minute services, they were easy to book, and I always knew they would be able to ensure my pup was taken care of. We are sad to be moving and therefore no longer be able to work with them !
UnderDogs is the BEST dog walking service I've used in the city. They really care about your dog as if they are their own. One great thing about retaining them through my working from home was getting to hear my pups excitement each day when they arrived. Cannot recommend them (esp Thomas) enough!
Greg and his team have been walking our pup, Sammie, for almost 6 years. Not only Is UnderDogs very reliable (they have never missed a scheduled walk), but perhaps more importantly, they are incredibly kind and loving to our furry family member. They are very responsive, communicative, and I always feel confident that Sammie is safe and happy on her walks!
The folks at UnderDogs are the best! Greg has always been so responsive and kind with any inquiries I've had regarding my account/service. Grace is my dog's favorite person. This business is such a gem. Please support them! Best dog walkers in DC!
I've been using UnderDogs for about 5 years. We've had the same amazing walker (Thomas). The consistency and trust is unparalleled to other companies. Greg and the other managers have also been super easy to communicate with. Knowing that I can trust my keys and most of all, my dog, with UnderDogs and Thomas, has been a blessing!
UnderDogs is truly amazing. Grace was wonderful with our very high energy golden retriever. They are extremely reliable, responsive, and always professional. They were even "on call" for us to watch our pup at the last minute while we went to the hospital for a few days to have our son.
The Pet Peeps team is caring and experienced. They took great care of my sweet four-leggeds for over seven years, into their old age. The founder, Gus, genuinely cares about his clients. I also loved getting the cute photo updates from the team. Much gratitude to you, Pet Peeps! You contributed to a happy and healthy life for Miss Pinky and Bean 🩵
Gus responded to my frantic phone call looking for a cat sitter for a friend who'd been hospitalized unexpectedly with compassion and professionalism. Went above and beyond in providing excellent service in an emergency situation. I am very grateful. Elizabeth V. , Reston, VA
Pet Peeps took care of my cat Andy during my 2 years in DC and I could not have asked for better care. Gus and Mavid were amazing and I could tell Andy really enjoyed Mavid’s visits. Pet Peeps was able to accommodate Andy during a diabetic episode and I felt totally confident he was in safe hands. Gus and his team also were able to accommodate me on several occasions with last minute adjustments due to travel. Additionally, I appreciated the friendly service, excellent communication and the easy to use website. Andy and I would 100% recommend Pet Peeps!
I just got off the phone with Pet Peeps after inquiring about my reactive German Shepherd and had the most incredible conversation. Gus walked me through options and helped me address all my needs regarding my not so sweet lady. I have a lot of confidence in his recommendation and opinions. For the past three years I have done A LOT for my dog, driven many miles, jumped through many hoops, and talked many folk's ears off. However in the 15 minute conversation I had with Mr. Elfving, I have never felt more heard, or understood. For the first time in 3 years I felt "helped" and I genuinely appreciate it. He did not meet my dog but I'm attaching a photo because she's cute.
My name is Zooey and I am a 13 year old Puggle. I have asked my person to write this note recommending Pet Peeps to take care of your beloved pets. Gus was my first dog walker when I was a puppy. I love him so much. He took me to my first Pride parade. We had sooo much fun together (we still do). He is reliable, responsible and my person said he is reasonable in price. Gus mostly manages these days but we still use Pet Peeps for my walks. My walker and I enjoy each other’s company as we walk around my neighborhood. My human and I strongly recommend Pet Peeps. Woof!
We had a terrible experience using Pet Peeps. I would not advise anyone to rely on Gus if their pet has any sort of medical need. Not only was he unprofessional throughout the screening process, but he completely dropped the ball on taking care of our scared senior cat who needs insulin twice a day. He called on the first visit screaming at us that we lied about our cat being an easy job. We’ve had pet sitters come without issue in the past, and we obviously cannot predict if our cat is going to hide in the closet. He was so dramatic, and our downstairs neighbors had to come up with him to help. It’s truly embarrassing that he claims he’s been running a pet sitting business for decades and needs a neighbor to show him how to befriend a petrified senior cat. I would be happy to provide more information about our experience if you reach out.
We used Pet Peeps to walk our dog when we first adopted him in early 2018. Gus was very kind and we had a great first meeting with him before starting our walks -- you could tell he loves all pets and that he is passionate about his business. While we only used dog walking from Pet Peeps for a short time (we figured out our dog had separation anxiety and needed full time daycare to be his happiest), I would certainly recommend Gus and his team!
We recently moved away from the DC area, but for six years Pet Peeps provided daily dog walks and pet sitting for our dog and cat. Gus and his team were always available (even on short notice for emergencies) and always took excellent care of our fur-kids and went the extra mile. We always knew our pets were in good hands.
DO NOT SKIP THIS REVIEW: As a pet parent - communication is vital to me. I spoke with Gus on the phone, he assisted me with questions, concerns, and thoughts I had. We spoke on the phone, we even had a meeting to make this process easier. It all worked out. I felt respected and heard, and most important I felt my pets were cared for. I never had pets before, so I am always concerned if they're okay - and with Gus I had that peace of mind. So look no further, prices are excellent, care is exceptional, and Gus is awesome. Alonso B.
I've been using Pet Peeps for a few years now, and they are far and away the best pet sitting service I've had. It's a great comfort to know that my very senior cat is well cared for. Their communication is great, their sitters spend time with my cat to make sure he gets some attention, the litter box is managed...everything is expert. Mavid looked after my cat on my latest trip, and I couldn't be more pleased with her service. Gus, the owner, is more than willing to step up for his staff, and pitched in with visits, too. I'll never use another service, and can't recommend them highly enough.
Literally THE BEST! DC has a variety of good pet care providers to choose from - but Wagamuffin SETS the standard for others follow. Wagamuffin’s all-star team, impeccable level of care and unapologetically pet-centric philosophy makes them exceptional. We’ve been customers for almost 7 years; both our pooches adore their Wagamuffin pack. I think given half a chance, both dogs would gladly tell you that their walker Joey, is their favourite human.
I have been using Wagamuffin since 2016 when I got my puppy, Wellington. They have been the ONLY dog walkers we have had and truly they have helped me raise him. He loves them and they love him. I can't say enough good things about the company and the amazing walkers.
We have been using Wagamuffin for almost a year for regular walks for our 9.5 year old dog after moving to 16th Street Heights/Petworth. Our regular walker Ally is fantastic and goes above and beyond in taking care of our old guy as well as providing stellar pictures and updates. Communication is prompt, updates are clearly communicated, and you can tell these folks truly care about your pets as if they are in their own family. Highly recommend!
I travel pretty frequently for work and I’ve been using Wagamuffin to take care of my two cats for many years now. They’re great! Appreciate the communication from them while I’m gone and especially the app, which lets you order the type and frequency of care you need, and to change details on the fly as needed. It also notifies you when someone’s been there that day. And every couple days, the woman who feeds them is nice enough to send me a couple photos, which is reassuring :) Highly recommend them!
Fantastic service. Prompt responses when last minute needs/changes. My big pup loves his buddies at Wagamuffin Pet Care. They love fur babies and it shows!
Wagamuffin is the best! They're extremely responsive and accommodating. Our dog loves Joey, who has been so sweet with her and helped her acclimate to other dogs on walks. If you need a dogwalker, look no further!
Great dog walkers! Very reliable and easy to work with. Love getting photos every so often of our dog on walks with his dog buddies.
The team from Wagamuffin is awesome with my pups!! I know I can trust them when I am not home!!
Great walkers, excellent communication, competitive prices.
We recently moved and decided to try Colby’s Dogcare and Spa for our dog. My Bichon-Poodle, Marzipan, requires regular grooming due to her fur and tends to be quite anxious. However, our groomer, Amaris, did an excellent job!! Marzipan came out of her appointment looking adorable and fluffy, with a cute Halloween-themed bandana. I’m thrilled with her new cut and will definitely be returning regularly!
Words cannot explain how HAPPY we are with Colby's Dogcare and Spa. On Saturday we took our Arrow to Colby's for a free assessment day. Jamal, the Pupcare Director, gave us a tour; it was wonderful. The knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine care and concern for the health and safety of the pups is evident. Our Arrow is home a lot and needs socialization. This. Is. The. Spot. We immediately signed him up for daily daycare and are not looking back. The entire staff is awesome. Drop Off and Pick Up is seamless. This week, Miranda and Amber, assisted us with scheduling a full groom and apple harvest facial for Arrow. Who knew...a facial for a pup. Let me tell you, Josh was his groomer and he looks great!!!! Oh yeah...he loved the facial. You can tell that the staff enjoy their jobs and look out after the pups. I normally do not write long reviews, but for this, I had to. If you are considering Colby's...GO!!! If you haven't taken your pup to Colby's...take him/her. If you are in the neighborhood and just need to check them out...GO!!!! And lastly, Arrow now has friends and a Doodle Tribe. See pic...Arrow is the one smiling.
We were really nervous dropping our newly rehomed 6yr old pup off at daycare, but the staff were very attentive and I LOVE that they send photos throughout the day! They also give little report cards at the end of each day to let you know how your pup did. We love Colby’s!
Colby's Dog Spa is a WONDER! I can't wait until my fur-baby has her spa day next month! After a month of trying to book a spa day for my fur-baby with other supposed top notch (emphasis on supposed) Dog grooming services in the N.E. DC area, and encountering no follow up, or canceling the appointment via text in the middle of the night (with no follow up call in the morning), or just unavailable to speak with a representative. This morning Google finally showed Colby's when I did a search. They were able to get me/my baby in today. I wanted her to have a spa day for her 1st birthday, which was this past Friday, so when the other appointments did not happened after advance planning, I can't thank the staff of Colby's seeing her for a Luxury Bath and Shampoo. Her fur is soft/fluffy, and glowing. And my baby smells so sweet. I have already booked for her to have a Spa Day next month. :)
Our pup has been coming to Colby’s for about 7 months now. We absolutely love this place and so does Waffles! We searched everywhere for a daycare we could trust, but especially one our dog enjoyed going to. The staff at Colby’s is amazing! Michael has done an incredible job fostering a fun, safe and nurturing environment for all of the pups and their personalities. We’ve moved further away, but we still make the trip and bring him to Colby’s because he loves it so much. He recognizes it from a block away and pulls us inside every time! Highly recommend Colby’s for anyone in and out of the area.
I recently moved down to this area and found Colby’s for my anxious pup (1 year, 9 months) and my goodness the entire team has been excellent with him !!! From the first day where my pup was barking/ crying for about an hour to walking in normally!! It’s been a huge difference and couldn’t have done it without the loving team at Colby’s !! They really care and love the dogs so much and go above and beyond to ensure you and the pup have a wonderful experience!! Also the spa portion is amazing !!! Truly can’t go wrong with choosing to have your pup go here !! A great experience for both humans and pups ❤️
I’ve taken my two dogs to Colby’s for almost four years. We primarily use them for daycare and occasional overnight boarding. Our dogs are always so excited once they get into the building and realize they are going to daycare! The staff is very friendly, and they really care about the animals. It’s hard to find places that we trust with our dogs, but we trust Colby’s with ours!
My dogs Charlie and Ding Dong love going to Colby’s. The doggy daycare is right around the corner from Swampoodle Dog Park (which they also love). When we walk home from the dog park and pass the doggy daycare, my dogs are always pulling to go to Colby’s. They have a great time there and the staff is amazing. Colby’s also holds fun events for the dogs. Last Halloween, they had a dog costume competition and parade around the block and each dog received Halloween treats. Totally recommend Colby’s Dogcare for daycare and overnight stays! ———Updated Review 1 Nov 23——— Charlie and Ding Dong enjoyed Colby’s 2nd annual Halloween Woof-tacular event! There were about 25 dogs in attendance and all the dogs were dressed in adorable and fun costumes.
Our dog absolutely loves her family at Colby’s. The staff is exceptional. They are kind, attentive and professional. We go twice a week for dog daycare and we do not miss their block parties.
Absolutely love Colby’s. The staff are very friendly and all seem to really love dogs. Facility is always clean (of course it can smell like dogs!). Staff takes very good care of my little guy when I’m out of town or busy at work. My dog gets plenty of play time and they post pictures so I can see how he’s doing. He’s always excited to go to Colby’s and comes back happy! Love the team!
