My two dogs Harry and Hope enjoy scent work with Jody. Each week I see them making progress. Harry had to give up some of his other activities when he lost his eye and has reduced vision in his remaining one but it’s great to see him doing something he loves and Jody makes sure we get the best out of him. Sunday evening’s are always peaceful as after their class they are always very tired from using the brains!

My dog Ronnie just loves scent sports on a Sunday…. amazing how he has progressed under Jody’s instruction… if only I was as clever as he is!

I've been to puppy classes with Jodie at Cumbria Canine Services and it was well rounded classes, learning valuable puppy life skills to give the pup best start in life. .I've also attended several special dog seminars and workshops that have been put in by various dog trainers, the fact she can attract these trainers to the area is a great testiment. Always well ran, plenty of information beore hand and the venue is lovely and spacious. Highly recommend

Scentworks Progression Classes - we come to scent works with our GSP Iggy. He absolutely loves the classes & it’s been amazing watching him & his classmates search skills growing & improving. He needs something which is mentally stretching and scentworks really stretches him. Iggy is reactive with other dogs & it’s helped so much with his anxiety & confidence (& mine). Jody is great at working with his reactivity & making class accessible for him. We are also doing some 1:1 with Jody around his reactivity which has been great, but will add another review to give more detail. My class is really friendly & I have met some great people too.

Me and Mack had our first session with Jody today. It was so nice to see Jody work with Mack and give me some much needed tips and advice to take away and work on, thank you so much for your help, we can't wait to come back 😊 x …

Wow wow wow.. or bow wow wow!!! Otto, my gorgeous, kind, friendly, gentle Labrador was struggling with his social skills when on lead in town. He was appearing unfriendly, because of fear. Jodie was phenomenal and knows her stuff! I’ve booked 3 sessions with support and session one has transformed Otto on the lead and we can do some great fun exercises to give him more confidence. Can’t wait for lesson 2 and some man trailing … Thank you form Adele and Otto xxx

My dog Scarlett has been Mantrailing with Jody for over 2 yrs , we both love the sessions and Scarlett has grown in confidence since we started trailing . Jody is a great instructor. I would throughly recommend having a go at trailing with Jody it’s a great activity!

We left our 11 month old Labrador puppy with Cumbria Canine Services for the day (5 hours) so that we could take the kids on a Ghyll Scrambling trip which would not be dog friendly. We were nervous to leave her, but when Jody picked her up we knew she would be in safe hands. This is a very friendly, professional and good value service. We were even sent a diary of photos via email showing the fun our pup had while we were busy navigating the ghylls. Thank you Jody for looking after our pup and making sure she had a fun day too!

We had Jody over to help work on our puppy who had developed a tendency of creating chaos whenever I tried working. She was really patient with me, as I’m not the most experienced working with dogs! Once we discussed the issues we were having, she provided us with a few training exercises to help as well as a plan to evolve those basic steps into a fully trained command. After continuing the plan as discussed, our puppy had dramatically improved and I was able to work in peace and without the stepping stones provided by Jodie, we wouldn’t have this calm of a puppy. I’m convinced she is a wizard for dogs at this point. Highly recommend Canine cumbria services, they’ve been nothing short of excellent for my dogs and for helping me become the best dog owner I can be. 10/10.

Whitehouse staff had our two Cavapoos for around 13 days. We were shown around the kennels and everything was explained to us. We e-mailed staff for updates while we were away to keep us up to date, their replies were always positive and informative. We will definitely use them again

My dog seems to love this place, don't even get a kiss goodbye as he takes himself off.....very accommodating kennels, had to get Ralph in at short notice on this occasion and it wasn't a problem, I know hes in good hands and if any problem they'd let me know, can go on holiday etc relaxed having this peace of mind. I'd recommend this boarding to anyone who needs it.

We were so lucky to have stumbled upon these kennels. Lucy is very understanding of the dogs needs and always goes out of her way to accommodate. Our two love coming here whether it be for doggy day care or for longer stays. They are well looked after and walked everyday.

Going to put our 2 Italian greyhounds and iberian hound in these kennels, they are absolutely spotless and smell so clean,the kennels are heated, you can take your own dog bed in or they will provide one, but take your own blankets, one of our little Italians is 14 now and totally blind but we know he will be looked after by the lady who runs it,they get walked and it's best to supply your own dog food for them.

My dogs totally adore Lucy. Their tails start wagging as soon as they see the kennels from a distance. When I go to collect them they are pleased to see me but are reluctant to get in the car. Last time one of them walked the opposite way and plonked herself firmly beside the member of the team who brought her out! Always happy to use The Whitehouse Kennels.

We have just collected our dogs (2 ageing Border Terriers) after their second stay at the kennels. We have complete peace of mind knowing that the dogs are so well looked after during their stay. The kennels are spacious and maintained to a very high standard. It's clear to see that Lucy and her staff are passionate about the welfare of the animals in their care. Thanks again.

Picked our 6 month old Beagle up today after her first stay at kennels. She was happy, clean & healthy. Staff are superb & obviously have pride in what they do. We will definitely take our girl back. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend we Love Pets Whitehaven , I was struggling to walk 2 boxers together without having my arms pulled out ( walked great separate ) After only 2 months the difference in my dogs is amazing , now both walk to heel together and their recall has massively improved . Fantastic service, highly recommend. From the initial consultation, there followed some familiarisation session with Anne Marie and Jake, which ensured our dog would not be apprehensive when they came to walk him. We had Jake house sit to look after 1 dog and 2 cats, and Anne Marie to do a walk and feeding too. They are both naturally good with animals and our 3 pets we absolutely settled with they. While we were away we received some photos of our pets, which was a cool surprise. Definitely worth consideration if you need your animal family looked after.

These two lovely people are absolutely amazing ! From the get go I felt at ease that our two dogs would be in the best care with Sid and Anne-Marie while we were away. The whole process from the initial meeting until our dogs were picked up was easy and informative. They ensured that they knew everything about our dogs so they could provide the best care to them and make them feel at home. Sid and Anne-Marie made sure they knew Kira and Bellas feeding regime, walking routine as well as what their personalities and behaviours are like. They even managed to deal with Bella and her reactivity to other dogs, nothing seemed to phase them and they took it in their stride. We received regular updates on how they were doing including photos and videos. The initial 2 hour meet with their resident dog Betty was a brilliant idea it helped Kira and Bella get used to their surroundings and to meet Betty prior to their stay. Kira and Bella absolutely enjoyed their stay and we will definitely be booking with Sid and Anne-Marie next year. Thank you again !

We’ve used We Love Pets Whitehaven on a few occasions now and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Anne-Marie & Sid were brilliant to deal with, we will certainly be using them again. Also the photo/video updates of our pet they provided really gave us piece of mind whilst we were away.

First time leaving my three girls (cats) in the care of someone other than my family. I honestly couldn't have hoped for a better service. We had a home visit before the time we were away and Sid was great! We had a good chat and I felt so relaxed leaving him to look after them. While we were away Sid sent us updates every day so we knew all was well and the girls were happy. Anne-Marie has been amazing! She was very attentive to our dogs' needs. Our dogs warmed to her very quickly. She has been very flexible and accommodating to last minute requests- always been available whenever we've needed her. Very reliable and great service, highly recommend.

I can't recommend Ann-Marie and Sid highly enough. From the initial phonecall to the consistent updates when my dog was staying with them, my mind was completely put at ease as I could see just how settled my boy was with them and Betty. I was very worried about leaving my dog with someone else after a very traumatic experience years ago elsewhere. After explaining the situation to them both, I was assured that my dog will be treated like their own and that they fully understood my anxiety. I didn't need to worry - my boy didn't want to come home after even just one night with them! He was pampered and given so much love, which made it easy for me to make the decision to book him in for a long weekend with them....and he absolutely loved it. Both Ann-Marie and Sid took time to get to know my boy inside out, in order to keep his routine and got to know his quirks. This helped me feel at ease as they wanted to make sure all his specific needs were met... And they were. Both went above and beyond to care for my boy and updated me daily with photos of him loving life. I absolutely recommend We Love Pets Whitehaven to anyone with animals and are looking for a reliable, caring couple to look after their fur babies. We will definitely be back - I don't think my boy would forgive me if we didn't!

The cat-sitter service provided by We Love Pets Whitehaven couldn't have been better. I was able to meet them prior to going away for a few days, and having done so, was able to relax safe in the knowledge that my cat would be checked up on, fed, and cared for on a daily basis while I was away. Charges are very reasonable, and the service friendly, caring, and carried out efficiently and effectively. I came back to a happy cat!

I left my elderly cat in the very capable hands of We Love Pets, Whitehaven Branch for 12 nights whilst on holiday. I was delighted with the care, ongoing photos and to return to a clean and tidy house. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use again.

Looked after our two Trailhounds for the day, provided pictures and a report on their day of fun. Billy Bronco and Jazz Singer loved it! Lovely postcard of the dogs playing sent to our home from the dogs was a nice touch. Will 💯 use again. Cheers scallywagz Post fun sleep!

Scallywagz walks my basset hound, Jurgen, for group socialisation and he LOVES them! He knows when he's going to school and is over the moon. The whole team is professional, kind and caring and I trust them wholeheartedly with my dog. I can't recommend them highly enough!!

Scallywagz Pet Services looked after my very old, very timid, very confused terrier when I needed to do an overnight stay. Amy was so responsive to his needs and nothing was too much trouble in terms of keeping his routine and helping him feel secure as he dealt with new surroundings and his doggy dementia. I was kept updated and our custom seemed genuinely important to this lovely business.

These guys are great. Our dogs can't hide their enthusiasm when they see Alan. The cat also enjoys plenty of attention. Professional service with app to manage services. Personal touch not overlooked with photos of your pet's adventures and regular emails / newsletters. Highly recommended.

Lola has always loved her walks with Scallywaggs, so much so I’m sometimes frightened she won’t come home to us 😄, even though she is loved and spoiled so much. She gets so excited when she sees the Van, I do try to calm her down but nothing seems to work. They have always been professional, kind and caring and I trust them 💯 with my baby girl - always recommend them to anyone who asks.

Could not recommend Scallywagz enough. Lexi and Rufus love going on their group expeditions.. they came to our house for a meet and greet which was excellent..we even got some treats! Lola loves her daily group walks, she literally sits in the window waiting for Alan to arrive, when she spots him from the window she cry’s and runs to the door for him to take her. This is testament to how much fun she has and I can tell at the weekends when she is with us on a solo walk she misses all her doggy friends. Cannot recommend these kennels enough they are simply amazing. My puppy has gone there for both day care and overnight care from a very young age and cannot get out of the car quick enough when I arrive there!. Communication with them is fantastic and receiving lovely pictures from them is an added bonus.

We left Indie and Reva in doggy daycare with Yvonne and her Team, absolutley fantastic service, they treat the girls like their own pets. Highly recommend. The girls had a fab day, slept all night when we got them home. Shattered. Fantastic Team. 5⭐

Joan managed to get my dog in last minute for me, she was lovely & kennels were very spacious and clean! He didn't seem stressed or go off his food, will deffo use again!

I was apprehensive putting my dog in kennels because he's not good around other dogs, or so I thought, Joan really knows her job and understands dogs and now he runs round playing . Thank you so much. She put my mind at rest and Murphy loves going. Will have No hesitation taking back.

Absolutely brilliant. We rang Joan last minute and she took our dogs in no problem, even after the allocated drop off/pick up times. They were happy enough when we picked them up too

Little Louis,was quite happy to stay and not come home ! So no need to worry about future visits. Well looked after and loved.And also great value.

Never again, yes owner is very nice, but the dogs are stressed out,, constant barking, no interaction or love shown to the animals, not even sure they get out for a walk. Our dog was exhausted, smelly and ill for a week after, it was obvious he has barked none stop.

Wouldn't leave my dog anywhere else, Joan and her staff are very friendly and approachable and always take good care of our boy, would recommend her to anyone

Highly recommend bankend cattery and kennels. My furbabies have gone there for years and love it. Staff are friendly and caring. Lovely, very well kept kennels, Puzzle was very happy there. Owner and staff are very attentive to individual dog’s needs. We have no hesitation in recommending Bankend, certainly takes the stress out of leaving your beloved pet when you can’t take them with you.

Fantastic kennels, Jake loves coming for his holidays. Always feel reassured he is well looked after and happy when dropping off which hasn’t been in the case at other kennels we used before finding Bankend.

Jennie and her team went above and beyond to ensure my cats were cared for as well as if they were at home with me. Excellent facilities with lots of stimulation for the cats. Good access for drop off / collection. Individual needs catered for. Great service, friendly and professional.

Absolutely brilliant! Struggled getting my French bulldog to get his nails cut and went to bankend & they were done and cut in 5 minutes and he is a happy boy. Amazing definitely recommend x

These guys are amazing and I cannot recommend them enough. We have a nervous dog who takes alot of work to become friendly with people instead of scared; since coming here a little over a year ago it has quickly become her happy place where she is excited and able to just let loose and enjoy herself. The natural treats they sell are also a great way to reward her and give her something healthy and tasty for an evening after a hard day running around.

Highly recommended. Kennels are clean and big and all team is very professional. Love that the dogs get plenty of off lead time in the outdoor field and I loved receiving the videos of our Ronnie while we were away. I was very anxious of leaving him anywhere but now wouldn't hesitate to bring him again if I had to go away.

We've just collected our 8 month old puppy from Utopia and would highly recommend. First time in kennels and we were a bit worried leaving him but he was living his best life. We got photos and videos every day which reassured us. Obviously being November things are a bit muddy but he was washed and ready for pick up.

Amazing Kennels. Joe and Dale are so friendly, and look after the dogs they are their own. They get lots of exercise outside each day and have a lovely place to stay for their own special doggy holiday.

I wouldn't send my dog to anyone else. Lesley has a unique understanding of dogs and their unique behaviours. My dog is very nervy especially around new people so I wasn't sure I could leave her with anyone. Lesley reassured me and the minute I saw her with Moky I knew she would be fine. It literally is home from home for Moky and she loves going on her holidays there and enjoying the long walks and refreshing dips in the streams. We've had great videos sent to us as well of her happily running through fields which was so reassuring.

Our 3 year old Border Collie stayed with Lesley at Wuf for a short break. It was his first time in kennels and he had a great time. Lesley is obviously an animal lover and an expert dog person. She loves spending time with her visiting dogs and they get plenty of time in the beautiful surroundings and have a lot of fun. Jack is booked in for 3 weeks shortly and we cannot recommend Wuf enough!

Would like to thank Lesley for a great service she gives at Wuffs kennels ,would recommend these kennels to anyone who wants their dogs to be looked after with a person who truly loves her animals .with outstanding views and fields for the dogs to run around and have great fun.The personal attention Lesley gives to each individual dog is amazing Murphy looking forward to staying with you again Thankyou Lesley .

My husband and I were visiting the Lake District for a wedding in May and a short break with our Labradoodle Roxy (aged 6 ). I found Wuf Boarding Kennels as we needed somewhere for our Roxy to stay for a couple of days, whilst we attended the wedding celebrations. I first spoke to Lesley directly over the phone. Lesley was very nice and easy to talk to, explaining how she ran her Kennels and confirmed she could look after our dog on the dates we requested. I had further contact closer to the dates to confirm there were no changes. Lesley on all occasions was pleasant and cheerful. Upon reading some previous reviews I felt confident I had found a nice place for Roxy, that she would be cared for and safe. Especially as this was the first time Roxy stayed here. When we dropped off Roxy, we were greeted by Lesley and a female colleague. They were both very welcoming and friendly. Roxy was immediately made to feel at ease with Lesley getting to know her and gently talking to Roxy. As well as introducing herself to myself and my husband. We did not feel rushed and time was given for us to have a look around and see where Roxy would be resting and exercising. We were sent a couple of video clips of Roxy playing ball and running around with other dogs staying at the Kennels. Roxy looked happy and content, with her tail wagging. Lesley also had her own dogs who were nearby when we dropped Roxy off. The whole atmosphere felt relaxed. We would recommend Lesley and her dog kennels to anyone. She was professional throughout my dealings with her and most importantly Roxy was kept well and safe. Thank you Lesley and if we are back in the Lake District and need Roxy to be looked after we will come directly to you!

We needed to use kennels for the first time in October for our 3 dogs, a 1-year old daschund, a 9-year old springer and a 14-year old working cocker. We decided to book Wuf boarding kennels after being recommended to us by a friend. From the first contact on WhatsApp with Lesley to arrange the stay, right through to the stay itself, everything was perfect. Communication was quick and easy. My million questions were answered straight away. The needs of the dogs were wholly considered….Ranging from a lively, mischievous disobedient pup to our old doddery cocker; Lesley put us at ease from the moment the dogs were dropped off. She posted daily videos of them playing together in the large play area with other dogs which was amazing and we looked forward to seeing them each day. I actually think our dogs were slightly depressed when they came home from their holidays!! Highly recommended.

Dogs are a great judge of character, and our 2 year old German Shepherd loved Lesley from the start. It was reassuring when we left Mya for the first time at "Wuf" to have a video sent, showing what a great time she was having. We wouldn't leave our dog anywhere else

I have used these Kennels for the last 4 years and would never take (Ronnie) my old tyme bulldog anywhere else! He absolutely loves it there as the ground are huge and he gets to run around with all the other dogs. Lesley always sends me videos to show me he's OK, the Kennels are lovely warm n clean and also have a radio to keep dogs calm x lesley is very reliable and always accommodate me when needed xx

Fantastic kennels, highly reccommend, had my dog & 2 other family dogs here for 2nights, 1 of which is a pup & another which doesnt tolerate other dogs, we hadnt quite gotten the 2 used to each other yet so were a bit wary of them being together without us owners, but to our suprise we had videos sent of all 3 of them aswell as other dogs running around, happily playing together. Since coming home the dogs are like 2 different dogs, running wild together, thankyou Lesley, you have worked wonders with them! We already have the dogs booked in another 3 times over the next 12months. Highly reccommend!

I would never leave my fur baby anywhere other than at wuf. She is not a sociable dog and lesley gives her one on one time and helps to familiarise her with other dogs I a safe and responsible way. She is always safe and lesley gives us regular updates on how she is doing. Our pupper is often sad to come home and loves going to wuf boarding kennels. 11/10 would recommend!!

Callum (pet day care) is a trustworthy helpful, flexible dog walker for us. When our regular dog walker is out of action, Callum helps us out & Lennon is happy to see him & goes happily. He takes him to a secure local field to run off lead, walks him locally or can provide play & company in Lennon's own home. Highly recommend

Not only a fantastic dog walker who our murphy loves but goes above and beyond, who without our fluffy boy may of not been here today after taking ill one time while I was at work. Highly recommend ♡
