Cat Sitters in Departement De La Vendee

Kate was totally reliable in every respect. She came when she said she would, and left when she said she would. To facilitate her and our departure she came and stayed the night before and we spent a very pleasant eveing together. She was good at sending us photos of and reports regarding our dogs, a matter very close to the heart of dog owners deserting their dogs for any prolonged period! Either or both unexpectedly came into season during our absence, and she coped well with that, hopefully avoiding any illicit and unwelcome liaisons with the boys in the area ! Despite dreadful wet weather she coped well with the house and left it looking very neat and tidy. She even washed bedding and towels which I didnt expect, but was a welcome reduction of the post holiday chores. I did put her in touch with couple of my local friends as coming to a new area can be lonely if you are a sole sitter and I think she became interested in activities going on here as much as time allowed. We would be very happy if she were to return when we need further housesitting. We certainly had no doubts about her reliability during her stay

Mike and Debbie were brilliant sitters .I could see from the start that the dogs would be very happy .They looked after the dogs so well and my cat and had lots of cuddles and lovely walks .They were very good company two and enjoyed a couple of evenings with them . My house was immaculate on my return and had a lovely dinner waiting for me . I highly recommend them .

Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic looking after our two ( mad) spaniels for a week while we were away. She kept us informed of what was going on but was obviously super competent and always on top of things. She was charming and great to work with. A wonderful houseguest!!

We were lucky to have Marie and Quentin watch our cats on their last sit. They noticed that Zelda had a medical problem, and spent the good chunk of an afternoon and evening in the vet emergency hospital with her. They then gave Zelda new medication (in pill form) from the hospital, and gave us detailed instructions when we returned. They kept in close contact with us the whole time the emergency was happening, calming our nerves with the knowledge that Zelda was in good hands. After all that, we came home to find Zelda and the rest of our cats quite happy and healthy. Meanwhile, the apartment was cleaner than we left it. Marie and Quentin clearly were close with our cats, and they even asked to say goodbye to the cats when the keys were returned. Very sweet. Marie and Quentin were wonderful sitters, and were exactly what we needed in an emergency. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Tesa and Jorbis looked after our dogs Nelly and Koni for a week and I can only recommend them! We had many experiences with the app and so far they have been the best sitters we have had. They had a lot of patience with our dogs, specially with Koni, were very organized and tidy and, the most important, the dogs were really relaxed when we arrived back! We’d definitely recommend them to anyone :)

Audrey really bonded with Dicey and he seemed very happy and comfortable in her presence. She is definitely a cat person and we felt at ease as soon as we met her. She sent us constant updates with cute photos at meals and playtime. We came home to a very happy boy! Our house was spotless upon our return which we really appreciated as well. It was cleaner than when she arrived. We did have an issue at the start of the stay where Dicey was let out and lost which caused us extreme anxiety and stress while we were overseas and powerless to help. To her credit, Audrey followed all of our instructions to leave the front door open for him and stayed up the entire night waiting for his return. She also spent hours looking for him before it got dark. Her response to this crisis was timely, responsible and efficient and we managed to get him back. Mistakes do happen and cats are extremely smart so we are still happy with the housesit, but feel like it’s important to mention that there’s no harm in leaving very clear and specific instructions and perhaps changing certain rules while you’re gone (we normally allow our cat on the deck with us which is how this happened). Andrew took care of Pepper for us for 2.5 weeks. He was easy to communicate with, flexible, organised and very self sufficient and able to deal with issues like running out of some doggie medications. Pepper took to him quickly and was happy and well kept when we got back. Thank you Andrew and have a great onward trip!
