Sharon and Creighton were AWESOME. House looked better than how we left it. Riley was happy and healthy. They communicated perfectly. Look forward to having them back again.

Ally was great! We got to meet for a few minutes before I headed out and I felt super reassured that both Goose and my home were in good hands. My cat is picky when it comes to strangers, but he was comfy in Ally’s lap right away the first night! She communicated well and sent cute pictures while I was away. My home was clean and Goose was happy when o got back. I highly recommend Ally as a sitter and she’s welcomed back anytime!
Kathy and Ron have sat for us several times in the past and have always been excellent. They are our "go-to" pet and house sitters and we always check their availability before we post a sit. They are trustworthy, organized, communicate very well, and take great care of our cats and our house. We hope they will continue pet sitting for many years to come!
Chris and Julia were our very first sitters and are the most perfect house/pet sitters anyone would ever want!!! Julia sent video/pictures of our fur babies everyday and we noticed early on that our animals were very relaxed and happy!! This made our trip so enjoyable and stress free knowing that our animals were safe and being spoiled and loved the whole time. They even trained our dog to sit while her leash was being attached and was able to pet and hold our cat that is somewhat nervous around strange people he doesn't know. When I got back from the trip, the house was very clean along with Julia/Chris had washed the bed sheets, bath towels, vacuumed, dusted etc., and even washed the pet bedding. They also left some SE Asia treats for us to try which so sweet of them. Definitely the perfect house sitters!!!
Amber is as good a sitter as you will find anywhere! She treated our cats with such love and care, as if they were her own. She left our house in perfect tiptop tidy shape, and made sure to wash all the towels and linens before she left. She even cleaned out our coffee maker and took up our weekly trash without us even mentioning it! Amber is super kind and personable and we welcome her back to sit for us anytime! If you are looking for a sitter, you should definitely accept her application!
Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.
Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ⭐
Ruthee was a fabulous pet sitter for our three cats while we were gone for a month. Prior to the sit, she was consistent and communicative; she even came over early for a meet and greet to learn the routine. During the sit, she took great care of our three cats by playing with them (she made a fun cat toy!), scooping litter, feeding and watering them, and sent us text updates and pictures. We came home to happy fur babies and a clean home. She left the place very tidy which was greatly appreciated! We are so thankful for Ruthee and would recommend her should the opportunity arise. Your fur babies would be lucky to spend time with her. Thank you again for everything, Ruthee!
We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.
Jinnie was an excellent house sitter for me and my cat Felix. Completely responsible and reliable and helpfully flexible. She was willing to work with me as I dithered on whether I was actually going to go on my trip (which was dependent on good weather), and when I finally decided on making my trip one day shorter. House was clean and organized on my return, and, more importantly, my cat was calm and relaxed on my return. I would happily have Jinnie come sit for me and Felix again.
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home for free at Zeewoi.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $20 per visit, $28/day per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Zeewoi.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Zeewoi cat sitters for free, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Roberta of Pampered Pooches really loves dogs and animals, this shines through in her 5 star personality! The Bishop area in the summer is just too hot for big dogs to be outdoors all the time even though she does have misting set up outside to help cool them down, but I feel that an A/C indoor room is necessary to accommodate for the hotter temps and to bring the dogs in for a break from the heat and dust. The small Pooches do have an indoor room. My 20 months old retriever got a cold and bad cough (he has all shots up to date), Roberta quickly called the vet to get advice for this and took care of him and I'm grateful for her prompt care, but I believe his coughing and sneezing was in part due to the constant yet necessary misters and also the huge dusty horse corals that are all part of the facilities and he was also exhausted when we picked him up (usually he's very high energy). I do recommend Pampered Pooches for no longer then a two to three day stay in the summer (my pup was there for five days), unless an indoor A/C room gets set up, then I would not hesitate to board my baby there longer.
You could not find a better place for your doggie to be cared for than here. We came up to ski & wanted to leave our girl in the warm loving care that she is used to at home. This is exactly what we hoped for. In fact she wasnt too sure she wanted to leave💞 …
We left our pooch with Roberta for two nights. We felt so at peace with leaving him here and like he was well taken care of. She made it a point to bond with our dog and let him warm up to her. She also does dog vaccinations and dog bathing.
We needed a place to board our two pups for a day and glad we stumbled upon Pampered Pooches. Roberta was able to get us in with only a days notice. Make sure your dog has received the K9 flu vaccine prior as it is required. Fortunately we were able to get it on our way into town. As for all the sensitive pandas on here and other sites complaining about her personality..grow some thicker skin and get over it. She is a dog person and loves dogs. Not everyone is going to be your cup of tea but that's no reason to trash a business online. Our interactions with her were genuine and fun. When we picked up our dogs they were happy and we have no reason to think they had anything but a great time
Roberta is pretty awesome. She made a point of bonding with our Labrador this morning before sending us humans on our way for a one-night overnight. I’ll update my review after we pick up our lab tomorrow afternoon.
I was going out of town and needed a sitter which I had never needed before so it was new to me and my gang. Roberta was comforting to me when I left my furbabies with her and her staff for a week. Prices are very reasonable. Hidden amongst the horses hooves, the drive in is beautiful. I was in a pinch really and I'm just really grateful for the boarding services available. True blessing.
My Dogs love this place . For Grooming and Boarding. They feel so comfortable, that they just walk in like it's their second home
Roberta was the only one in town who could cut my cattle dog Rosy's toe nails. Rosy did not like her nails being trimmed but Roberta got it done in seconds flat. Five stars for being good to the dogs.
LOVE This Facility and Roberta really knows Dogs! My 2 Cattle dogs Love it There! They feel the KINDNESS !!🐾🤎 …
Love it here. They are always able to take our dog last minute and care for him. He seems to really like it there.
Our huskies have been clients for many years, its doggie heaven being able to run free and play in the streams. They howl with excitement as soon as we turn off 395, realizing where they're heading. Our family is very grateful for such an amazing place to board our dogs.
We have day boarded our pups here many times - and when we ski mammoth our pups love it here. Last year we left the dogs for a couple weeks. It's like a vacation for the dogs - ponds and big wide spaces to run and play.
Beautiful grounds in Round Valley. The dogs run free during the day and are crated at night. There are no kennels and minimal oversight, but it’s clean. Smaller yards for smaller dogs. My thirty-five pound cattle dog spent the weekend here and was put out in the general yard with larger dogs with the aggressive pack and ‘dog park mentality.’ She came home with a deep scratch across her nose to just under her eye. That said, Donna’s Dog Ranch is not for every dog, but it’s heaven for some.
Amazing! They took such great care of my husky Nami. She was a happy tired pup when we picked her up. She got to romp around outside all day with her new furry friends and it was perfect. Editing after 8 months, we use Donna's every trip we take now, making it easy and stress free to travel! Nami knows where we are going when we turn off the highway and gets super excited. If I could give more than five stars I would.
We traveled up to mammoth and our really big puppy got to come here for a day while we were on the mountain. He had a blast. Allie and Judy were wonderful, very accommodating last minute, and kept our favorite little guy safe all day. He got to play all day while we did too! I highly recommend this place for boarding/ day care! We will definitely be using them again.
It’s hard leaving your fur babies behind even when you’re doing something exciting like hiking Mt Whitney. I am so happy we found these guys! Everyone was super friendly, including the other pups and horse! They did such a good job with our shy girl they had her bouncing around carefree and when we pulled up she didn’t even notice us! 10/10!
It's a miracle I ever found Donna in the first place. Her kennel is unlike any on Earth. Even friends who come to visit from down south admit they haven't seen anything like it before. Rusty the husky is very anxious and hyper-responsive, but he never turns down a stay a Donna's! Unable to explain how comforting it is to have a place you can leave your family member and not have to be worried if they are being taken care of and enjoying themselves!;*) Summer
Horrible experience. The owner (overweight man, poorly groomed, rude) met me and my puppy at the gate. My 10 month old chocolate lab puppy was super excited and jumping up and down as puppies do. The man took her leash and started YELLING at my puppy, “sit” “wait” and “down” while pulling hard on her leash. He then asked me if I had another collar (she wears a harness). I said, no and he said, “this isn’t going to work.” I asked for my money back and left. This man should not be allowed to handle anyone’s dog. I can’t imagine what he would have done to my puppy if I wasn’t standing right there. Jody Martin, Bishop, CA
Had a hard time getting a spot, but one I did I realized it's because this is a great place. The owners took time to get to know my dog during the intake and went the extra mile via text to let me know she was having a great time. We'll be back!
Our dog Bleu's first Day Camp experience has been a great one! Beautiful surroundings with wonderful "Camp Leaders"! Highly recommended.
Sierra Dog Ventures is THE place to send your dog when you're out having a not-so-dog-friendly adventure. My dog Cole is my #1 trail buddy, but when my partner and I wanted to take a day trip to Yosemite, we knew it wouldn't be a good fit for bringing Cole since the park has lots of restrictions on where pets are allowed. Cole got to have his own adventure at "camp" with Sierra Dog Ventures while my partner and I spent the day in Yosemite. Since the trails in National Parks aren't dog-friendly, we would not have been able to pull this day-trip off it weren't for Sierra Dog Ventures. We left at 5am and didn't return until dark. But knowing Cole was having the time of his life with Christi and the dog pack meant we didn't feel guilty about being gone for the full day. Christi picked Cole up from our house and had him out for the full day (about 9am-4pm). We came home to a tired, happy (and still a bit wet from his favorite activity--swimming) Cole.
