We couldn’t recommend Jutta more highly - her communication was fab before she came, she was extremely relaxed and easy going whilst with us and loved hanging out with Betsy, and then left us with some bits in the fridge as well as a spotless house and some wild flowers! Brigitte and Wolfgang came to the rescue when we were a bit in a tight spot, having agreed to housesit for a couple in England at rather short notice while not yet having found the type of sitters (of a certain age) we wanted. Although previously cat owners, they have acquired enough experience with (big dogs) on their sits. They arrived a day early, as agreed, so we could get to know each other and our dog had enough time to adjust. An uncomplicated couple, with lots of tales of past and recent travels to tell. Took them to the supermarket to do their food shopping and for orientation; also went for a short walk with the dog together. Throughout our absence, we received reassuring texts and photos so we could concentrate on our English pets. They took BASKO on walks without any problems even though he is quite strong on the lead... Upon our return, we were greeted by a happy but relaxed dog and a lovely cake and even a very nice dinner. We all had a chatty evening together and next morning, our sitters went on their (rather long) way, with another sit waiting for them in the near future. We can recommend them as capable and uncomplicated sitters.

Suzanne and Manfred were the perfect sitters for our alpacas, cat and doves! We invited them to arrive early to learn our routine and they quickly picked up how to "be" around alpacas! They were calm and organised and were soon accepted by the alpacas as safe to be close to! One alpaca was having antibiotic eye drops and they confidently completed the last few days of giving these. We received daily updates, photos and videos which reassured us that all was well at home! Suzanne and Manfred cared for the house, leaving it spotless for our return. Suzanne even made a delicious Thai soup for us for lunch...what a treat to return to! They had stripped beds and washed their sheets and towels which is certainly not something we expect as we arrive home quite early so they must have been up extremely early to get everything done ready for our return! This was above and beyond the job description! We thoroughly enjoyed the few days with Suzanne and Manfred, as they got to know the alpacas, before our holiday and we definitely now consider them as friends and hope that we will stay in touch and maybe meet again! This sit was complicated by the fact that we are selling the house and rehoming the alpacas so there was some uncertainty ....how many alpacas would still be at La Grand-Mère ? We know that Suzanne and Manfred have waited a long time to come to Brittany as well as to care for alpacas, so we truly hope that the uncertainty around our move wasn't too stressful for them! So ..without hesitation, we would recommend Suzanne and Manfred for your sit. You'll go away confident that your "babies" will receive the best care and your house too! Thank you Suzanne and Manfred for being the perfect sitters at a particularly stressful period in our lives! 😘

"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.

Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.

Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.

Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. Caroline is an amazing sitter ! We were far away, had never left our cat for such a long period of time and we felt really confident with her. She took great care of our cat Honey as well as she did for the house, pool and garden. She was even able to handle the end of the refection of the bathroom which was a last minute surprise… We felt Caroline was reliable and self sufficient. We had a great communication with her during our stay abroad. We even found many nice intentions when we came back from our vacations such as fresh fruits and bakeries for a nice and welcomed breakfast after a night in a plane !
