Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

"A relaxing and long time away from home made possible by the best pet & house sitters we could have asked for!" Judy and Steph went the extra mile over their entire one month stay at our home. Both our cats became fast friends thanks to the care and dedication provided for them. We were routinely updated with spectacular photos of our furry girls throughout our leave that helped us be anxiety-free the entire time. Even our older shy cat spent time sleeping on their laps or hanging out on shoulders. As for the house, Judy and Steph left it even cleaner than when they arrived! We had a few tasks to maintain the lawn and potted plants outside, which were completed perfectly. They even tended to our vegetable garden where needed! During a 'risk of severe hail storm' alert, Judy and Steph kept us in the loop and went even further to place potted plants under shelter out of harms way. In summary, we recommend Judy and Steph and would happily have them return again if our schedules cross paths.
Pares is an experienced and quality sitter and we knew our cat Juniper (and a few plants) was well cared for. We received regular updates and photos which was really nice to have during our travels. While we missed Juniper, we could see that she enjoyed receiving cuddles and attention from Pares. Upon returning home, our flat was clean and tidy, and Juniper was very happy! Thank you for taking care of her!
I'm delighted to have found Lisa as a sitter and hope to have her back again! She was detail oriented and clearly cared about my cats' well being. She asked good questions about the cats' routines and needs and about the house to be sure she'd meet my expectations and have a comfortable and successful sit. She communicated very well before and throughout the sit and even though I was unreachable for much of the time I was confident everyone was in good hands. Lisa left the house in immaculate condition and the cats were relaxed and happy when I got home. What a delight!
Kristi was an absolutely incredible sitter -- I think our favorite one ever! She was easy to communicate with, kind and personable, and took great care of our pets and our house. It was the first time we had left both our dog and our cat with a TH sitter and Kristi went above and beyond. She was very self-sufficient but provided fun updates and pictures and our pets loved her. Highly recommend!
Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. She is a true animal magnet and lover. I highly recommend Anna to anyone who wants their pets to recieve first class love while away.
Jenima is an excellent sitter! She is organized, communicative and flexible throughout the stay. We needed a sitter at the last minute because Jazz got sick, and Jenima saved us. We left a little worried about him, but Jenima took care of him really well and kept us informed. Cats love her! We definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!
Ann Marie was an excellent house sitter who went above and beyond. She flew in a day early and stayed at a local hotel so we she could meet my cat and get the keys before my early flight the next morning. When I returned, she and Tryke were best friends and the house was immaculate. She even washed the sheets and towels, and remade the bed. I strongly recommend Ann Marie for any future sits!
Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.
Steven was a great sitter for our black lab Souris and cat Pinot. They were well looked after and really liked Steven. Our house was in good order when we got back and Steven was kind enough to give us a lift to and from the airport. He was very flexible, arriving day early so we could show him around.
We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. I would recommend Cat and Eugene for anyone looking for reliable, kind, respectful, caring, tidy, and honest sitters. If I am lucky, I will get to have them back to sit for me again.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
Veterinarians advising to leave cats at home with a pet sitter who will stay overnight in your home, boarding is not recommended for cats as they are stressed in a new environment, you can find a sitter who will care for your cats and home overnight at Zeewoi.
How much should you pay someone to watch your cat?
At least $20 per visit, $10/week per overnight watching in your home, otherwise you can find a free sitter at Zeewoi.
What do people do with their cats when they go on vacation?
Inviting a cat sitter to your home, boarding the cat with a local business, asking a friend, family or neighbour to feed and check the well-being. The most efficient way to leave your cat during your vacation is with Zeewoi cat sitters overnight, in this way, you will save cat sitting costs and make vacation not only for you but also for your cat sitter!
Day one back my boy is now so we'll behaved!
Barbara and Vera are the absolute best when it comes to dogs. Their knowledge is impeccable and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies. Thank you ladies for always making my time with you special.
Tucked away kennel/boarding buisness in the country that is perfect for any dog. Barb the owner was so sweet and caring for and with our dog when we recently went on vacation. This buisness keeps it simple and only accepts cash or check and was so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends and will most definitely be using them again in the future.
What is better than one GSD? MANY MORE GSD! We first used this local kennel when we arrived in VA in 2017. They were so kind, professional, and genuine, taking good care of our new GSD pup and our older lab. We have used them recently too and were just as satisfied. Definitely recommend if you have a pup that you need to board while you’re out of town. You will have peace of mind knowing your GSD (or lab, or _ pup) is being cared for by folks that literally do this for a living.
My sitter cancelled on me. Hecctic to find a place I called here. They had spa e and my dogs spent 10 days with her. Both scared rescues we're well cared for, csme home happy and ate for her something no one else has been able to do when we are away. Highly recommend. Kind, clean family owned.
We purchased a pup over 20 years ago and she was by far the best GSD ever. Barbara is very knowledgeable when it comes to the breed.
"Snickers" fits right in. Great to know that someone (Barbara) knows how to care for GSD'S being she raises champions on the property. They have indoor a/c kennels, outside kennels, dog training and large property for dog walkings.
Most friendly puppies and people and lovable family
My little buddy had a pleasant stay, will definitely visit again.
Clean, well-kept kennel run by someone with years of experience. Would board my dogs there any time!
We recently purchased a beautiful black Lab from Wendy Bonello of Crest Hill Kennels, following the sudden and unexpected loss of our beautiful black lab of 10 1/2 years young. Wendy was incredibly compassionate, sympathetic, and helpful throughout the process. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and made the experience so much easier. After much discussion with my husband, we decided to make the drive from Canada to Virginia to pick out one of Wendy’s dogs. Her dogs are truly gorgeous. When we arrived at the kennel, I was blown away by how pristine and well-maintained it was. I’ve never seen a kennel kept to such a high standard. Wendy and her staff were amazing—they made sure everything was ready for us and helped us prepare for our trip back to Canada. She had all the necessary documents for border crossing, and when we returned home, there were no issues whatsoever. Wendy is both incredibly professional and genuinely kind, which made this experience even better. I highly, highly recommend her as a breeder and would absolutely purchase from her again, especially from Canada, given how wonderful her dogs are. Thank you, Wendy! We love our new girl ❤️
Wendy has found her true calling.!Consumate professional who attracts and hires outstanding support staff. Facilities are well thought out and designed well. We have not used her kennel but if we lived closer we would board the lab pub we got from her. Wendy and her staff are very accessible and truly knowledgeable. Plus, they can not hide the fact they love their work!
We’ve used Cresthill multiples times over the last 5 years for boarding and have always felt comfortable knowing our dogs are well taken care of. The staff have always been friendly and the facility is clean/well maintained. Highly recommend!
We have taken our black & white Lab mix dog to Cresthill Kennels multiple times! He fell in love on his first stay. The staff at Cresthill are truly dog loving professionals and the animals know it. On each visit we also had our dog Domino take the nature trail walks. When we went to pick him up the first thing he did out the door was to lead us over to the nature trail to show off where he had been. Then, he really surprised us because we were ready to leave but he wanted to go back inside the kennel. We will be using Cresthill because what our dog loves we love too!
In May 2018, we purchased a puppy from Cresthill Kennels after visiting with several breeders in the area and reading the reviews online. Receiving a healthy puppy with a great disposition was of the most importance to us, The facility was very well kept and appeared much nicer than other facilities we visited. We met with the puppies they had available, and the kids picked out a nice 12 week old puppy to bring home. For the first 2 months, life with our new puppy was amazing! He had the best temperament of any puppy we’ve met, he never chewed anything other than his toys, and he was house broken within 2 weeks. We were all in love and couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately, around 5 months of age, we noticed lameness in our puppies front right leg that came on out of nowhere. It would come and go for about a month, typically after playing fetch or when first waking up from naps. Our veterinarian recommended that we try to rest him to see if it cleared up however, felt that it was likely OCD (Osteocondritis Dissecans) of the elbows. I stayed in contact with Cresthill throughout the process to keep them up to date on our puppy’s status and to see if they had any insight on what could be wrong with our puppy as we were very concerned at this point and just wanted to know what could be causing it, and if there was anything we could do to reverse the condition. Wendy was very responsive while we were trying to figure out what was wrong with him and even said that if it was OCD of the elbows, that she would cover him under their guarantee. That said, she assured us that she’s never had a puppy from her program have OCD and suggested that it could be something else like Lyme’s disease, injury, brought on by his diet, Pano, etc. all of which our veterinarian ruled out and disagreed with. After a few more weeks the problem only got worse, so we had x-rays taken which confirmed that he did suffer from OCD, but of the shoulder. This condition requires surgery to repair, it has a 80% - 90% success rate, almost guarantee’s early arthritis will occur in your pet, and you have to neuter your pet to avoid passing the condition along as it is hereditary. The surgery, xrays, vet visits have cost us $3500,00 to date. Costs aside, our puppy has been on full rest for 3 months now, with another 8 weeks to go while recovering from surgery. Literally only going outside on a leash to use the bathroom. As you can imagine, keeping a puppy kenneled around the clock is no fun for him or us. This is not the puppy experience that you hope for when spending over $2000.00. It has been brutal going through this for the past few months for the puppy and us. We are really hoping that after the recovery time that he’ll be healthy and back to himself and we can get back to some normalcy. When we reached back out to Cresthill to update them and asked for more information about the guarantee that Wendy mentioned in previous communications, we received no response. A few weeks later, after a few more phone calls, we were told that shoulders are not covered in their health guarantee. We asked them to reconsider given the seriousness of the condition which is hereditary, and the experience that we've had to go through, and costs incurred, and we were told that they would have to think about it and get back to us. That was the last we heard from Cresthill. Not only do I find it concerning that a breeder would simply not bother to respond to notices that one of their puppies suffers from this condition,, but we also don't know if they have taken any action to update their breeding program since they now have a history of producing a puppy affected with OCD. I would also highly recommend checking a breeders guarantee before spending this kind of money on a dog to see if shoulders are covered. The shoulder is the most common area for this condition to appear and some breeders will only cover it if it affects the hips or elbows.
Cresthill helped take care of our dogs for over a month while we were getting our home fixed after a house fire. They were so kind to us! They treated our dogs like they were their own! It’s a very special place!
Cresthill Kennels breeds amazing Labradors, and they're our trusted kennel when we travel. Can't recommend them enough! The best 👌 …
Well run breeder. Great experience. Thanks Cresthill!
We have gotten two dogs from Cresthill Kennels. I cannot say enough about how great our puppies are. They are both energetic and lively machines when we take them out into the woods but the sweetest creatures you would ever want, who settle down in our house Easily. Amazing! Thank you Wendy for all of your good work. The next time we get another dog you can be sure we will be getting it from Cresthill kennels.
The absolute nicest people and a very clean kennel. It's the only place I board my dogs. I drive 90 minutes to drop them off.
We had a wonderful experience boarding our pups at Wingmont Kennel. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Our frenchies were well taken care of by the caring and friendly staff. Like many pet parents, our dogs are family and we will make the drive from Richmond to Wingmont for the peace of mind they provided.
Bring your dog here if you want them to socialize with other dogs in a safe way, if you want your dog to be too happy, if you want them to have too much fun in the pool, if you want them to get too healthy from exercise, and if you want them to have too much love from the employees. We love Wingmont and so do our dogs!! I’m starting to think they like it there more than at home. Haha!
I just wanted to thank Wingmont so much for taking such good care of Rj! I was so nervous about leaving him and letting someone else care for him but they did an exceptional job! They didn’t mind my calls to check in, kept me informed and are the most friendly people. Rj left there very happy and healthy! They read him, did what he was comfortable with and he enjoyed every moment. He will be visiting there again in a few months for another week stay. I highly recommend Wingmont kennels for your pets home away from home 😊
They are amazing!! Our dog is always the most happy and the most worn out (good thing about going here)! Sometimes they post pictures on Facebook and he typically smells good, even after staying here for weeks! They even made him a birthday cake once
Best boarding in the greater Richmond area. Been taking our pup here for years and he has always come back exhausted (from playing) and well cared for. Prices are super reasonable and the staff has always been cheery and helpful.
Been using them a long time for our fur babies. Wouldn’t take them anywhere else! Staff really care about your pets!
Love Wingmont! Our Weimaraner, Mei, has been coming to Wingmont for boarding since she was a puppy. The staff is always very kind, sensitive to some of her separation anxiety, and does a great job helping me to feel better about the boarding process too! Because of Wingmont's care and attention to our pup, our family feels comfortable when traveling, knowing our girl is in good hands. Thank you to all at Wingmont!
It's the only place I trust to keep my dogs. It's an hour from where I live, but worth the drive.
Super happy with our experience so far. We experimented with taking our Golden, Amory, for an overnight and will definitely be taking him back for longer visits. Everyone was very cordial and they had no problem working with our schedule to let us drop off early and pick up a little late. Amory even came back to us with a cool little handkerchief adornment too. Keep up the great work guys!
Al loves it here! He loves the staff & they love him. He loves playing with the other puppies. It's the 1st time that He's willing to leave my side. We get to a certain point on the road and he knows where he's going, he stands up wags his tail and is ready to get out as if he knows the rest of the way to Wingmont! He is treated like a King! Some days I think he's not going to come home with me. I see him and he has a scarf around his neck he's prancing around and he says bye to the staff, it's adorable!
