Alexis is responsive and reliable! Her love and knowledge of animals is apparent. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to get along with. She always sends pet photos and notes when she's on the job. My cat and dog love her. I don't worry about my pets when I'm out of town, because I know Alexis is providing superior care. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Alexis has been a great dog walker for my 65 pound Goldendoodle, Bailey! He is a good boy, but does require extra attentiveness to keep him from eating things he should not eat during walks. He really is relentless about it, so I would not trust him with just anyone. Alexis pays extra attention to prevent this, which is especially important as he is a resource guarder, so once he gets something it is very hard to get it from him and I definitely don't want him eating things that could be harmful to him. I trust Alexis to help keep him safe. She has been very helpful to me during times when I was injured and recovering from surgery and could not walk Bailey myself as well as when I was on vacation and needed someone to walk him while my friend staying with him was at work. On top of it all, Alexis shows Bailey lots of love and he gets very excited when she comes, giving lots of hugs and kisses! I highly recommend Alexis! She has been great for my very lovable, very good, but a bit difficult big boy!!

Alexis actually takes the time to brush and pet her when she visits, not just clean the litter box and give her food. Above & Beyond Pet Services is wonderful. I transitioned my King Charles Cavalier to dog walks about 12 months ago from doggie daycare as I realized he preferred the one on one attention. Sophia has been his primary walker for several months now. She is very attentive to Asher and will always mention in her notes if she notices anything out of the ordinary. I met her and she is very kind and caring. I know that Asher is in good hands and that she is able to adjust to his needs each day which differ based on my schedule with him and if we walked the prior night or earlier in the morning. I know that he looks forward to spending time with her whether they walk or play depending on his needs for the day I know she is giving him lots of love and attention. I am so grateful to have this incredible reliable and professional service for my dog who is my family.

Elise and Lillian walked our aging pup under the senior walk program (2x a day). They were both amazing, and Maya loved all of her walkers from A&B, but these two take the cake! Michael has done a wonderful dog taking care of our dog Penny for the past 5 years. He provides in home care at his home, as well as walks at our house when needed. Every time, my dog gets so excited to see him. He sends pictures and updates while we are away. We are so fortunate to have such a responsible and kind caretaker for our pup while we are away.

Mike has been my pet sitter for 5 years and has provided consistently excellent service the whole time. He visits my furry friends when I am out of town and provides them with fresh food and milk daily. He also sends me a little video of them each day! When I have needed help with extra things (bringing in packages, watering plants), he has done those things as well. He is reliable, kind, and very good with animals. My little guys love him. Mike has also done great with improvising to handle unexpected situations (e.g. I was out of town longer than expected and hadn't left extra pet food). I trust him fully. I have high standards for pet care and Mike exceeds them every time. I recommend him without reservation - as do my pets!

Mike has been walking my dog for about 2 years now, and we couldn't be happier with him. He is flexible, and reliable. When I can't be home to walk my dog, I don't worry because I know I can depend on Mike. After each walk he will always send me an update on how the walk went. We LOVE Happy Dog! When we moved to Belmont 6 years ago, I was very worried about finding a reliable & trustworthy person, that also loved our high maintenance frenchie who would care for her during the work week. Michael came to my house to meet our dog, and I seriously grilled him (we joke about this now). Thankfully, I didn’t scare Michael away & he agreed to take care of our Birkin GiGi. The bond that Birkin has with Marcia & Michael melts my heart. One of the highlights of my day is checking Happy Dog’s facebook posts, cannot get enough of the adorable dog photos. My dog is sick often, Marcia and Michael text to check in on Birkin. Marcia & Michael always make sure to stock everyone’s favorite treats! It’s easy to see that this is not just a job for them, they truly LOVE the animals that they care for. I cannot recommend Happy Dog enough!

Mike and Marcia have taken care of both of our dogs, since 2006. They take our current dog, Lucy, on daily walks, which includes some socialization with other dogs - a big deal, since our dog is very much an only child. And we also board Lucy overnight with them, sometimes for weekends and occasionally when we take long trips away. They even helped us when our previous dog recovered from surgery, and provided appropriate and loving care during a lengthy recovery. We trust them completely and do not hesitate to recommend them.

I have known Mike for over a decade. I have entrusted him to care for two beloved chocolate labradors, both rescue dogs. The key word is trust. I trust him implicitly that he will do the right thing for my pets in any given situation. This trust is earned and based on years of integrity, dependability, professionalism, empathy, and compassion. When we got to the stage of caring for a 100lb geriatric dog, Mike stepped up and helped us get through various canine health issues that many times were not trivial. It would have been impossible to have provided quality end of life care without Mike. Mike can “read” dogs and will make good decisions about how the dog is doing and what will work or not work in a given situation. My current labrador is very sweet but has triggers that can lead to bad behavior. Shortly after getting her Mike helped me figure out her triggers and what situations were doable and what was a no go for her. Mike has taken care of my dogs at my house during travel. The last trip, within an hour of him arriving he sent me a picture of my puppy belly up on the couch wanting belly rubs from Mike. She loves and trust him. That is everything to me. I highly recommend Mike and HappyDog.

We had such an amazing experience with Kassandra’s pet care. She watched our 1 year old puppy for a week while we traveled outside the country . She was very responsive and sent us multiple daily updates with photos & videos! Our puppy had a lot of energy and Kassandra’s close proximity to a large park was perfect. I can’t recommend Kassandra enough for the all important job of providing care to your beloved pets! She is incredibly committed, thorough, and absolutely adored by our two cats. Before our first trip away, she came over to meet the cats and become familiar with their environment. Each day she texted us brief recaps of her two visits and sent photos and videos of our happy and healthy boys. Kassandra was our dog walker for many years and our dog LOVED her!!! Daisydoo couldn't contain herself any time Kassandra came to pick her up and would even try and get into a car that looked like hers!!! Kassandra was incredibly dependable and reliable and rarely took time off without giving us plenty of advance notice to make other arrangements when need be. She was also very accommodating to any changes in our schedule and would often help us out last minute when an emergency arose. The only reason we stopped seeing Kassandra was because we moved too far way otherwise we would still be using her on a regular basis. She's the best!

When I lived in Fenway I used to use Rover for all my pet sitting needs. But it was a pricy service and I had to do a lot of research and vetting when choosing someone who would look after our small dog. I moved to Brighton during the pandemic and have since relied on Happy Pet Care for all our walking and sitting needs. Mary, the owner is extremely good at communicating. She is quick to schedule us in even the night before (so sorry Mary). We set up autopay so I don't have to worry about the hassle and with fixed rates every time I know exactly what the cost will be upfront as opposed to Rover which can charge me different rates depending on who is working. Happy Pet Care did increase their prices during the end of the pandemic to adjust for the rise in cost of living. I appreciated the transparency about the cost increase and the sensitivity with which it was communicated to me. I would also like to personally recommend Debra, who has cared for our dog multiple times. I feel that everyone at Happy Pet Care gets to know my dog, and seeing the same people get to know her makes me feel secure that she is in good hands and that she can recognize who is caring for her without the added stress of meeting a stranger. Happy Pet Care is a great small business that we can rely on. I have been recommending their services to new dog owners in the area and I would certainly recommend them to you.

I needed a dog walker in Brighton for our new rescue and came across glowing reviews for Happy Pet Care. They are professional, super flexible, and really care about your pet. Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!

We've been using Happy Pet Care for dog walks 2-3 times per week since we adopted our lab mix puppy (now over a year ago). Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. There have been multiple occasions where we need to switch days, length of walks, or add on an additional walk. Mary has almost always been able to accommodate us! Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. We could not ask for a better, more reliable, patient, understanding, and kind dog walking service. We've had Mary, Sophia, Jen, Matt, and Debra walk our pup - and they've all been great. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.

I spent two weeks out of town and Lisa from Happy Pet Care came by my apartment twice a day to look after my rabbit, Auggie. I've never left my bun alone for a such a long time and was initially anxious about the separation, but Lisa was wonderful in every way. First, she had previous experience caring for her own rabbit, which was important to me because rabbits are nonverbal creatures and require someone who is familiar with their signs of illness or distress. Second, she sent sweet text and photos updates of Auggie twice a day, and it was apparent that he was both happy and comfortable in her care. Third, Lisa went above and beyond in caring for my bun--she weathered fierce storms to check on him, doted on him with his favorite salad greens, arranged a last-minute emergency visit when my flight home was delayed, and showered him with so much affection that not once did I worry about Auggie during the two weeks that I was gone. Can't recommend Happy Pet Care enough, and Ms. Lisa especially! She's my go-to gal from here on out whenever I'm heading out of town.

Our golden retriever Chloe has been with Tail Trekkers for 7+ years. Kim is absolutely amazing - with a real gift and passion for caring for pets. She is devoted to the pets she takes care of - taking them on walks to the Fells and around Cambridge. She is reliable, thoughtful, punctual, and responsive. This is care that is far beyond what one would receive through a typical dog walking service. You can see the pictures on Kim's website of how happy the dogs are (our Chloe is the red golden retriever pictured in many of the photos). Kim cares about stimulating and developing the pets in her care. There is also a nice camaraderie among the dogs - and the customer service and responsiveness is excellent. Kim has also provided boarding services for Chloe - and is always responsive, reliable, and I know that Chloe is in good hands when we are out of town. Chloe is an incredibly happy dog - who receives lots of exercise and love when we are at work - due to the outstanding care that Kim and Tail Trekkers provide. I cannot recommend Tail Trekkers highly enough!

We feel so lucky to have found Kim! Our puppy Georgie is skittish and likes to stick close to me. After a couple of outings she completely bonded to Kim and now rushes down the stairs to greet her when Kim arrives. Plus Georgie is energetic and thrives on the long outings. KIm runs a very professional operation- we rely on her to help us juggle the work week and she is extremely dependable and responsive. Highly recommend!

Kim treats my little girl - Abigail - like her own dog. Kim makes sure Abigail gets plenty of exercise while still paying attention to the needs of her breed and size. Kim is always on time, accommodating of last minute requests, and Abigail absolutely adores her! I trust no one more than I trust Kim when it comes to walking and boarding Abigail.

Kim has been walking our rambunctious, now three year old keeshond for about 2 years, 5 days a week. Kim has been extremely patient with him despite his high energy and eagerness to tussle with other dogs. She is also incredibly reliable - I don't think she's been out sick even once the whole time we've known her. We've also used Kim for boarding and think she did a great job with that too. We'd highly recommend her to anybody looking for somebody who will provide reliable and caring service.

We absolutely love Paws to Consider and their team! They have been walking our Bassett/Lab mix, Finn, for a couple of months now and he loves them. They are so reliable, very responsive, and accommodating to our work schedules. Plus, they even provide daily pictures which we love (see below)!! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog walking or overnight sitting.

Paws To Consider is a wonderful dog walking service. Their walkers are professional and friendly, on time and really seem to love my dog. Cricket can be a little difficult to meet, as she has a stranger/danger reaction sometimes, but Paws does a great job of introducing new walkers to Cricket. They are great, and help me out so much with my sweet dog. Also, their level of and clear communication is fantastic. Couldn't be happier with these guys!

Very happy with the dog walking service these past few months! My corgi gets a good walk in, treats, and cute photos taken. They have been very accommodating with any last minute schedule changes. Would highly recommend!

Our neighbors recommended Paws to us three years ago and we have been scheduling occasional walks and sitting for our dog, Jack, since then. The shelter where we adopted Jack would only release him to a forever home with no other dogs since he was surrendered due to his aggressive behavior with other dogs. None of his walkers/sitters at Paws have reported any problems and frequently seem to do a better job of controlling his behavior than we do. Paws even recommended a harness which Jack seems to be much more comfortable with than the collar we were using. We love the frequent updates that the walkers/sitters provide after each walk including lots of really great photographs, maps of the routes walked, and number of bowel movements. It would be difficult to leave Jack in a kennel and we feel much more comfortable having the sitters from Paws stay with Jack at our home. We’ve always found our home as clean, orderly, and secure as we left it. All of the walkers and sitters at Paws have gotten along so well with Jack that we haven’t had to worry and sometimes even get a bit envious. We would highly recommend Paws to anyone.

We utilize dog walking services for our Goldendoodle puppy. We have found them to be exceptional! Excellent communication, Extremely organized, Reliable dog care are just a few of the things we like best. Our puppy can be difficult at times on walks and anxious around strangers. Jana has been extremely good for our pup. I always have peace of mind when I go to work. I love the report cards we get with photos. They are caring, professional and flexible. Walks are solo or with 1 compatible dog. I love that about them. It’s definitely a more personalized approach and they are very thoughtful with transitions when it comes to introducing our pup to other dog walkers they build in additional time.

Been using Paws for years (6+) and would (and did) highly recommend! They are exceptionally accommodating to fluctuating work schedules and are great with walking an extra dog, when I dog sit for friends.

Paws To Consider has been incredible! We adopted a dog last year who ended up being somewhat high maintenance. Paws To Consider has taken SUCH good care of him on his weekly walks. The post-walk messages and photos are thorough and fun to see. The administrative team has also been really helpful and flexible with our varying schedule. We are sadly moving out of their radius, and I know we won't find a dog walker that our dog bonds with as much!

Mindful Mutt did an amazing job taking care of my senior dog during a last minute boarding stay we had over the weekend. It was clear they put in so much work above and beyond the usual to keep him safe and stress free. We also really appreciated the pictures and updates throughout his stay.

Top-notch care by really caring humans. I love The Mindful Mutt crew! They truly care for my pup and work with her to stimulate her little brain. The fact that this is a *structured* daycare makes a huge difference in my dog's life. They play, train, and rest during the day. The scheduled rest times ensure my dog will not go into overdrive and remains a happy, balanced dog. When I pick up my Luna she is physically and mentally tired and never wants to leave. I can't sing any more praises to Deanna and her team. They are the best!!

We love The Mindful Mutt! My dog is pretty anxious but the staff is thoughtful about how they handle each dog and very kind. Almost every day at pick up, a member of their team gives me a little overview of how the day went. Deanna, the owner, is super responsive and communicative. My dog seems to really like all of them! They also take videos throughout the day and post to instagram — it’s so nice to be able to check in and see how they are doing.

The Mindful Mutt is fantastic! We have a very high energy dog who loves to play and run around almost nonstop. He always comes home tired and happy. Every time I bring him he gets super excited and now doesn't even look back when I drop him off! The staff are great and knowledgeable, and Deanna, the owner, loves working with dogs and had years of experience. I can't recommend Mindful Mutt more highly!

The mindful mutt is a doggy day care on a whole new level. The owner, Deanna, is wonderful and will take great care of your pup. The dogs get to play and do mind games during their stay, keeping them engaged a happy. They get a walk as needed, and they can even stay overnight - with Deanna on site! We have searched long and hard around Boston for day care, with a wide range of staff/facility "levels" (to stay nice) but this place is by far the best. We love Mindful Mutt — they take excellent care of our senior dachshund when we are out of town, and we get many many photos of him as an office assistant giving kisses to the team. Everyone is so gentle and relaxed and we can’t overstate how much we appreciate the great care.

We left our dog Lucy with the Mindful Mutt while we had to travel for two weeks and we felt very comfortable that she was being taken care of. The staff was all very kind and you can tell they care for the dogs. They were also very prompt to respond and provide updates on Lucy during her stay (we loved seeing the pictures and videos of her posted to instagram!). Thank you to Deanna and the team for taking care of our girl! :)

Our little puppy Mack has been going to The Mindful Mutt weekly (+ some overnights) for over 4 months now. Deanna and the entire Mindful Mutt team are some of the most caring people in general, let alone with animals. It has been such a an amazing experience bringing Mack. Instead of causing a ruckus at home, he gets to go a few days a week to play (and learn how to play) with all sorts of other dogs, works on his skills, and gets to have some structure in his energetic puppy life. We love TMM!

We feel unbelievably fortunate to have found The Mindful Mutt. We have two dogs and we trust Deanna implicitly with them. The team is also extremely responsive when we call with questions and they reach out to us timely if there's anything they need to bring to our attention while our dogs are there. We seriously won't board our dogs anywhere else at this point. It's so comforting knowing we can go out of town and our dogs are at a place where they're cared for and happy. We've lived all up and down the east coast with our pups, and this is far and away the best we've ever felt about where we board them. I give Deanna and her team my highest recommendation.

Avi was a life-saver when I first moved into town as a new dog owner. He is reliable, flexible, and communicative. Most importantly, my dog loves him! I highly recommend Bark and Purrr!

Avi is great! I was new to the Boston area and needed pet care over the Christmas holidays. I don't like the idea of boarding and waited too long, so I still hadn't confirmed anything a few days before I was set to leave. I was so stressed and it was so unexpected how well everything turned out once I contacted Avi! He was super flexible and accommodating, sent pictures of my cats every day, was significantly cheaper than boarding, and my babies were MUCH, MUCH happier staying at home instead of a cage for over week. I was a little worried about giving my keys to someone, but Avi is very trustworthy and there were no issues at all. It couldn't have worked out better and I will be using Avi from now on to help out when I am out of town. I'm a little late writing this review, but I'm about to call him again because I will be out of town for the weekend. Honestly, Avi is much better than boarding! You should call him!

Needed help when a last minute business trip came up and Avi came to the rescue! One of my dogs has severe separation anxiety, and was more than a handful, but Avi handled him like a champ and won his (very hard earned) trust. Would definitely recommend Bark and Purr to anyone looking for a kind and caring individual to help them with their pets!

This man is an animal abuser. I brought my dog in to be looked after for a couple of hours, when I came into his business, he was very aggressive with a small dog. He had swung it into his crate. Another time he had grabbed a dog and had it in a headlock. He yells & swears at the dogs and cats. He also swears at them. Please do not take your dogs here. He is an animal abuser.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Crate Escape Too! Our puppy loves few things more than rolling up to Crate Escape for daycare. The staff is professional and friendly, and they take special care and attention to ensure your dog is comfortable and happy while there. They very much care about their customers - both the dogs and their owners. We would recommend again and again.

I have taken two generations of dogs to Crate Escape Too and it has been a wonderful experience for my dogs and a worry-free way for me to leave my dogs with other similar sized dogs in a safe environment with varied activities. The staff is great at making the dogs comfortable and making the store as convenient as possible for pet owners. My bichon Hockney becomes excited as soon as he gets close to Crate Escape and rushes in to begin his days there.

I don’t know what we would do without the amazing staff at Crate Eacape Too! Our puppy, Sammy is handicapped but has made leaps and bounds in her recovery and her family at Crate Escape Too has been a great contributor to her success. The staff is friendly as well as professional- Sammy loves them and all of her furry friends that she has met there!

Excellent care. The place is well staffed and the employees are extremely friendly and accommodating. The dogs seem very relaxed and at ease. One caveat, the app they use to register your dog is difficult to navigate. I bought a package of 30 days, but occasionally I got charged as if I didn't have a package because of some flaw in the app system. They refunded me no problem, but just FYI if you choose to use their service.

This used to be my go to doggy daycare. Since I've moved out of Cambridge, I occasionally brought my dog here on one off cases. The customer service of the current staff has completely gone off the cliff and they cannot communicate clearly, sending me on multiple hour long commutes between my house and here without letting me know that they wouldn't accept my dog due to their own schedule conflicts. I trusted my dog with their previous employees completely, but unfortunately cannot say the same given my experience recently. I would not recommend this specific Crate Escape location to anyone.

I use to love the place and the people who worked there, and always suggested it to others that had dogs. But not anymore… they no longer seem to be customer focused. I was a customer for a couple of years until Covid. When I wanted to start being my lab again it took over two months to get an appointment for my retriever to get a reevaluation to attend again. My dog was approved in “5” minutes but not allowed to stay. There’s where more dogs in one pen then I had ever seen and it was crowed. Another pen had a lot less dogs and look more comfortable. Sadly, Crate Escape has lost me as a customer, and more important as a champion for referrals.

My dog enjoys his time at Cratescape Too. I think hanging out with other dogs is interesting for him. The staff are wonderful and easy to communicate with.

Our two year old doodle is afraid of everything, but he LOVES his time at Crate Escape Too. He races in the door, knowing just what is expected of him. The staff are just great -- organized, kind, friendly to dog and humans alike. Can't say enough good things. This is a small dog daycare -- Crate Escape in Belmont is much bigger -- the size is perfect for our dog.

Crate has been great for all three of my dogs. They feel right at home. The Care givers are careful about the dogs they take and how they care for them. Their van service is a great convenience. I also buy dog food there. Great selection.
