Abbi and Martin were fantastic house and pet sitters . They are very experienced at house sitting and their confidence showed through . They were reliable, organised , good communicators both before the sit and during . It was helpful to meet them both in person just before we departed for a weeks’ holiday . They were both very warm towards us and more importantly our 2 dogs and we left without a moments hesitation about leaving them in our home with our boys . It was evident from the pictures we received and how the dogs were upon our return that they had been well looked after and had lots of fuss, snuggles and walks . The house was also immaculate. Sharon and Jeff were great house sitters. Arriving early after we changed the times they came straight in and met the dogs. Mutual love at first sight. We returned to a clean and tidy house and happy, groomed dogs that have been sulking since they left. We went off confident that they could copy with everything which is just what you need when leaving for 2 weeks. Hopefully they will sit for us again with better weather !!

This is the second time Jason has sat for us. We had the pleasure of having Jason back to look after our home and our dog, Fergus, while we were away, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, Jason was the epitome of reliability, care, and professionalism. Fergus is quite particular about his routine and can be a bit anxious when we're not around. However, Jason's calm and attentive demeanor immediately put Fergus at ease. It was clear from the daily updates and photos we received that Fergus was not only well-cared for but was genuinely enjoying his time with Jason. We returned to find Fergus happy, healthy, and clearly well-exercised. Jason went above and beyond in caring for our home as well. He ensured everything was kept tidy, brought in the mail, fed the fish, and watered our plants. It was such a relief to come back to a clean and well-maintained home. Communication with Jason was seamless. He was always quick to respond to messages and kept us informed about how things were going, which greatly eased our minds during our time away. We highly recommend Jason to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring housesitter. Ann and Martin were super friendly, reliable and all round great house sitters! They took great care of all the animals and were obliging in throwing Pip's ball for her - a lot! Communication was great and it was really helpful to have the opportunity for a visit before we left to meet the pets and look round. The house was beautiful and clean when we got home which was lovely. We would love to have them back if they are ever travelling nearby again on their adventures! Definitely recommend them! Ebony is an amazing sitter. Her communication before arrival was excellent. From the time she arrived the cats seemed very comfortable with her. She kept me updated throughout the sit, even following up when I had a problem getting messages. My flight home was delayed and she very kindly stayed late to give the cats dinner. I arrived home to a spotless house, with even fresh sheets on the bed and all the laundry done, and most importantly super happy cats! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Anyone would be lucky to have her looking after their precious pets and home. I do hope she can sit for me again one day!

Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!

Toby and Chloe were amazing pet sitters. It wasn’t the easiest sit - a nervous dog and 3 cats with various ailments and medication to have, but they took it all in their stride and cared for them so well without any issues. Our nervous dog Zelda warmed to them in just 2 days which is a record for house sitters so far! I also really enjoyed getting to know them over dinner the night before I left, they’re very easygoing and positive people. They also left the house spotless for when I came back. I would love to have them sit for us again. You can rest assured your house and animals are in safe hands with this lovely pair!

The best cat sitters ever! They loved our cats and spent so much time playing with them and making sure they were happy! We had photos and videos every day with funny little messages and we came home to two very happy, healthy cats. The house was spotless and they even washed the linen and towels! They left us some cute Easter presents and breakfast shopping in the fridge, as we were returning after a long flight. Hannah and Joseph housesat our three kitties for a week and a half while we were traveling for the holidays. They were very communicative and conscientious. We received daily updated on our cats with cute and funny pictures. When they noticed our 17yo cat, Amber, wasn’t eating very much, they let us know and we were able to resolve the problem quickly. They were also very resourceful and understanding when we ran out of some cat supplies. Hannah and Joseph took great care of the house. Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived back, and we had a short time to get to know them on our arrival. We would be fortunate to find more house sitters like them, and would of course love to have them back in the future! We wish Hannah and Joseph luck in their travels!

Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ⭐

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kathryn! I needed to extend dates for the sit after we had set it up and she was able to accommodate this so was actually here from 10/4-20. She was timely and communicative throughout - and she is a very nice person. She kept the house really tidy and followed all instructions well. My cats took to her quickly. When I returned, they had been very well cared for and seemed fully content even though I'd never left them for long before. While away, I reached out to Kathryn by text several times regarding deliveries, etc. She was very prompt in responding and adept at handling issues as they arose. I highly recommend Kathryn as a house sitter - and would happily work with her again!

We've had many pet/house sitters over the last few years and Cat and Eugene will reside at the top of the list of favorites! From my first email with Cat I knew I liked her. She has all of the qualities of a good house and pet sitter: Reliable, a good listener, organized, flexible, caring, and honest. She and Eugene arrived exactly on time for our pre-sit visit, where they got to meet Maya and become familiarized with the house. It was a delight to visit with them and become comfortable knowing Maya would be in good hands. Our scheduled dates changed somewhat and they were extremely flexible and easy going about the changes. Upon our return home, we found the house pretty much in the exact condition we left it in. I can tell that great care was taken for Maya and for the house. Maya seemed to still be looking for them the next day, wandering around the house wondering where the other people who loved her went. Amazing kennels, they get well looked after. Ours loves his big bed under the heat lamp in winter. Always comes back tired from all the walks. He was there over his birthday and they did him a special birthday party with the stuff I'd sent him with and did me a lovely video of him having fun.
My dog stayed for 6 nights recently. Having never been away from us in 9 years we were quite anxious. Staff were amazing with him from the moment we dropped him off to picking him up a week later. The updates via text and photos reassured us that he was in safe and loving hands and he’d settled into his new home. Can’t recommend this place enough!
My dog stayed recently for 6 days. He is normally an anxious pup with new people/surroundings but he was made to feel at home and looked after by staff members. The updates (pictures attached) showed he loved his time away and made me feel better knowing he was settled too. Would recommend and use again!
Cannot explain how good this place is. We were very wary about leaving our dog after our first experience with another place but could immediately tell the difference when we visited and at drop off. They clearly all love dogs and that is reflected in the way my dog was cared for. We received daily photos, daily texts and they even said they didn’t want us to pick her up as they all loved her. Our dog came home so happy and I now feel so much more comfortable going away knowing she will be looked after so well next time. The price for the quality is also amazing.
Darrington Dog Boarding hold a very special place in our hearts. They also own Pontefract Dog Rescue which is where we found our fur baby Hela. We were apprehensive leaving her in boarding Kennels but we really didn't have to worry. The same amazing staff look after the boarders as well as the rescue dogs. Hela actually enjoys going which is just amazing news for us. We would totally recommend these wonderful people 💜
We have been using Darington Boarding Kennels for the past 3 years for our Bedlington x Whippet and our Whippet. There is no reason for us to use anywhere else, the experience is always very positive, customer service is spot on but most import is that the dogs are truly cared for. We get photos sent to us of the dogs and updates during their stay. I can’t allocate anything other than 5 gold ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sarah is a lovely, kind caring lady who put the animals she cares for at the forefront of her dog walking services. I have now used Sarah’s dog walking for three years, and Otis waits with anticipation and eagerness door watching and waiting for her voice, when he knows it’s his day to go with Sarah and his furry friends he simply cannot contain his excitement’. Dogs can’t speak to us, but how he is when he sees Sarah speaks volumes. His tail wags non stop, he is vocal in the sense of being giddy and nudges Sarah to hurry up and get going. He thoroughly enjoys his time out walking and playing, he always comes back tired and ready to rest after running and playing with his furry friends. I would highly recommend Sarah and trust her implicitly with caring for my dog and his welfare whilst in her care.
The most fantastic dog walker I’ve ever had! Sarah is so brilliant, she’s caring and kind to my dog and so respectful of my home too! I wouldn’t trust anyone else more. She ensures that the dogs have the best walk and then that they’re clean enough to come back in the house (which is rare so mine is often cleaned) couldn’t recommend this service enough! Sarah is amazing and looks after my mum’s dog Rockie. He sits waiting for her everyday and he can’t wait to be with her. Not only does she look after him she also checks on my mum’s wellbeing as and although it should just be a one-hour walk, she will take him for 3. I do not live near my mum and Sarah not only makes sure the dog is ok but that my mum is ok too, she is reliable trustworthy, and it is great to know she is there for the dog and mum. I 100% recommend Sarah and I know she is there for them both. I have had dog walkers in the past with my dogs but none quite like Sarah.

Paws 4 Life takes our little man out for a walk a few times a week, sometimes on his own and sometimes with a group. We get an update after every single walk letting us know how he was, and there are always photos of his adventures! My Westie has a bad paw at the moment, and Bev has loads of useful advice and help, and for us having just moved to the area her recommendations were brilliant! We recently went away for our summer holiday and were so impressed with the care our dog Gus received from Lucy, Elaine and Janice. They did a pre visit to get to know Gus, and Janice did a fabulous job looking after him while we were away and kept us up to date the whole time. Amazing service, we went away for 10 days to Italy and knew our dogs would be looked after perfectly. We were kept updated by Lucy while away with messages/photos of our dogs and they looked like they were having a great time. She took them on daily walks and to dog parks off their own back. When coming home our house was left clean and in order which is great when coming back from a long holiday. Would highly recommend their service and will be using them again for sure.

We Love Pets came to the rescue when I needed some specific support for my older, sometimes grumpy dog whilst we went on hol. We are often cautious of who meets our dog as if they don’t listen to our requests when introductions take place, it could result in her being snappy. Elaine and Linda were able to come and meet our dog and 100% listened to what needed to happen for the introductions to be positive. This was then the foundation for a loving relationship with Linda to be built! Linda was calm, kind and caring and very clearly an animal lover. So very gentle with our dog and did things on her terms. When away, I felt fully assured our dog was in very safe and caring hands. They were flexible and accommodating with visit days and times. Wouldn’t hesitate to contact again and can fully recommend to anyone else who may be considering We Love Pets. Their input and care was the difference between us being able to go on a family holiday and not. Communication has been great throughout with responsive messaging. Thank you!

One very shy cat who they worked with to gain her trust & get her to come out for head rubs Getting daily photos on holiday stops me missing them as much & gave me reassurance that they were happy & not missing me! This place is a fabulous kennels, Monty had been here 3 times now and actually likes going (not sure what that says about me like) he goes in with his tail wagging and comes out exactly the same. The kennels themselves are lovely and have sofas for the doggies it's like their own little room, not just stuck in a cage for the duration of their stay. Also the owners keep in contact with you putting pictures on Facebook, which are a big relief for me knowing my little man is ok whilst were away. I also like the fact he gets to socialize with other doggies (this is optional). I would certainly recommend this place 100%!
Buddy was well looked after and we had a very positive experience, kennels we have used previously have not been suitable for his needs as he does get separation anxiety but doggi divas kept him very occupied and even kept us well informed of his daily events via Facebook by posting photos of him playing, I thought this was a nice touch. I Would definitely recommend to others.
Our little dog recently stayed for 12 days at Doggi Divas. We have never left a dog in kennels before, so we were very apprehensive, but she had the time of her life. She had a sofa to sleep on, got lots of time out to play and interact with dogs and humans alike, and she came home full of beans and happy. Sylvia and her husband clearly love all the dogs they care for like their own. I wouldn’t hesitate to take our dog to stay again and would recommend their care and love in a heartbeat.

Lovely people to speak with, invited us around to have a look around. Quickly accepted and made the plans despite it being almost 2 hours travel-time. Once there, I was very impressed and pleased with the facilities and was looking forward to boarding there until I got home and tried to get booked in. It seems practically impossible to reach them via phone (called 10+ times and left several voicemails over the course of 4 weeks). In the end, I was forced to book into a mediocre boarding kennel instead. Very disappointed, as they seem like genuinely nice people with great facilities. Please work on your booking and contact procedures guys
I was so worried about leaving my dog. He has only been left once before and is quite a nervous pooch. Well there was no need to be concerned, Doggi Divas have so much love to give, my dog has had his own holiday, with lots of love, cuddles and play time with other dogs. I recieved updates on how he was doing, and the pics showed how happy he was Absolutley! Absolutley amazing! Will not consider taking him anywhere else!!

Absolutely amazing secure place to let your loved ones stay at. My two get excited as soon as they feel the car start to head down the lane to Doggi Divas. Oscar is a funny one who doesn't like a lot of people but he loves both Sylvia and her husband and rushes up to say hi to them as soon as he sees them :-) Highly recommended, don't look anywhere else.

This is the 3rd time Jane has looked after my hamster Bertie and the first two times seem to have been fine but I cannot even describe how upset and angry I am when I have returned home with him this time after leaving him for just over 2 weeks. There was mountains of wee in the corners and his litter tray, his bed was dirty and all wet with mould at the bottom. The water was stagnant and had scum in it. My poor baby has been living in these conditions. I wouldn’t normally do this but this is a living creature who needs and deserves the best care and this was not it.

My treasured pet rabbits have stayed here on numerous occasions. I know while they are there they are in extremely safe hands with masses of rabbit knowledge and experience.
Best place me and the wife have found that we trust our Rabbit too. No complaints
