We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.

She's a local sitter and I wasnt' having any responses so I contacted her and she fit me into her schedule even during the holidays and right after another sit across the country. strongly recommend Christine and Phil to housesit for your kitty. Our pets, Babbles and Cousin Eddy, and property, were in very good hands while we where away for two weeks. They had a fair amount entailed with two cats on different food and needs. Cousin Eddy, or Edoardo, is a barn cat we recently adopted. Eddy is very sweet and stays outside but hangs out the side door wanting to be petted and fed; Bubbles is an indoor cat. Both cats were spoiled by Christine and Phil! Christine and Phil were also very caring and attentive with the needs of our Airbnb guests. During the time we were away they kept us updated daily (including photos of the cats). When we came home, our house was perfect, with lovely fresh flowers, notes for us, and our cats had been well-cared-for. They are wonderful house sitters, and we highly recommend them. They were Five-star sitters of our house and cats!

Wow, what a find Justin is! I feel as though I won a lottery. As I was revelling in the communication we were having during his stay, I looked over his profile and realized either that he had updated it during his stay OR I never even read it. I was so impressed with his initial application that described multiple stays taking care of cats in Turkey that I knew he was going to be a great choice. So I'm not sure that I even read his profile or reviews. Turned out...he was more than I could have EVER hoped for. Justin is VERY organized and clear with his communication. Just as--or maybe more--important, he is a poster child for what zeewoi can be: more than just an economical way to get a pet sitter or a place to stay. Justin embraces the barter economy and the opportunity it presents to get to know people. Although we only met the day that I turned the house and my 2 cats over to his care, we had delightful communication throughout his stay. He wanted to be sure he was providing the right care to all living and non-living elements of my home as well as just chat beyond what we'd had an opportunity to cover when we were face to face on the handoff day. Bottom line: I'd have Justin back even if I wasn't going anywhere! I've met a friend. And my neighbors did as well! Oh yes, and my two cats were well looked after, the house was in ship shape, and Justin was able to brief the next sitter in person (I'd had to extend my time away and Justin already had another commitment). To say I felt confident leaving my pets and home in Justin's care is an understatement. Justin is a real adventurer and believer in the power of both human and animal connection. Without a doubt, I would recommend him as a sitter...and a friend! Thank you, Justin for a great example of how to wrestle so much more meaning out of zeewoi.

My partner and I left our cat Mango in Lindsey's care for a month so that we could get married. We were going from FL to ME, so it was a long way from home. We were gone for a month. Picking the right houses sitter was important. We are so glad we picked Lindsey (and she picked us). From before Lindsey got on her plan to fly down, until she was back home again Lindsey was communicative, considerate and positive. We felt like we had a family member staying at our place and because of who she is, Mango and our home's well being was a weight off our mind during the wedding. If the need arises in the future we will definitely be giving her the right of first refusal. Thank you so much Lindsey!

Heidi was an outstanding cat sitter for my Luna! She was very communicable via calls or texts. She followed all my guidelines for feeding and care of Luna. Luna was very content when I arrived home thanks to Heidi! My home was immaculate when I arrived and she did some snow shoveling. She even pulled a large broken tree branch off my roof following a windstorm. I hope Heidi is available for my next trip because she is awesome. Jim

Greetings Pet People, I am a bit late leaving my review for Kristine who is local to us and has taken care of our kitties Max and Luis a few times this year. After COVID-19 was announced in March, our travel plans came to an abrupt halt. We had to cancel a lot of trips we had planned but decided that it was safe to go camping a couple of times this summer. We called on Kristine as one of our favorite sitters on this site. We discussed safety protocols and agreed to cleaning that we would do to leave the house safe for her to enter. She shared protocols that she had taken with other homeowners and had sound processes to make us feel safe leaving our cats and our home in her care. She even purchased batteries for our automatic cat feeder when it failed to let one of our confused kitties to eat. Kristine is a smart, humorous and a thoughtful person. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your sit. She truly loves animals and taking care of your home. Highly recommended! Thanks Kristine!

Tonya was great and filled in after our other sitter had to cancel. She was very self sufficient and navigated acclimating herself to everything since she arrived after we left. She gave thoughtful updates on my cat and I could tell she really enjoyed her, so that means the world to me! She left the place immaculate and we will certainly have Tonya back!

Our dog BOO LOVES Meadowsweet. Very caring staff. Great fenced yard area for play. Air conditioned in summer. BOO wouldnt go anywhere else for day or night stays.

Skilled and attentive oversight of dogs in an unrestricted, uncaged environment: the first floor of a family home with access to a large side yard. All dogs are pre-screened to ensure a happy and playful experience. Our dog loves it and starts groaning in anticipation in the car from five miles away.

They are wonderful- I take my 14 year old Shih Tzu Bailey- he is a tuff customer, very grumpy but he came out gorgeous, they didn't miss a spot! They worked with his temperament and got the job done, I could tell they really care about what they do especially the animals. Would highly recommend.
Glad to find a place that our dogs are happy to enter, which was not the case with a couple of others we tried. Jeff and Nicole are to be praised for what they have done here. And the dogs seem to agree!

I was in a last minute need of boarding for my two fur babes. I emailed Doodles and got the quickest response and no hesitation about being able to fit my babies in. My female Coco is a very anxious (reactive) dog. They made me feel very comfortable leaving her with them. They didn’t try to rush her or us at all. By the time I picked them up today she was more than settled. I will Absolutely be bringing them back to Doodles and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur family members.
Just got back from getting my little guy Chicago from Doodles, and let me just tell you how amazing they are! We were gone for 11 days and our Chicago is just 4 months so to say we were nervous to leave him is an understatement! Sharlene and her husband are so kind and welcoming and truly have a passion for 🐶 dogs ! She gave me updates through out our trip with pictures and videos and even gave me her personal cell so I could keep in touch myself! Will deff me taking Chicago back next time it’s needed or if they offer daycare in the near future will use that as well. They are absolutely amazing and would recommended them to everyone I know!
Wonderfully caring and genuine. I instantly felt at ease leaving our daughters dog there. I could tell that Sharon enjoyed herself there too. I received a text telling me that she was doing fine with a great napping picture. I am so grateful they are here.
Hands down, Doodles Pet Care is the best place to board your pup. This was our first time boarding in years after our last dog passed away in the care of another boarding service, and we were very hesitant to leave our current pup with anyone other than family or friends. I explained this experience to Sharlene, and she immediately put my mind at ease, allowing us to see where our pup would be playing and how they take care of each pup in their care, and even offered regular check ins and pictures to let us know she was doing okay. My husband and I were able to enjoy our trip knowing that our pup was safe and well cared for, which was such a blessing. We feel so grateful to have found Sharlene and Doodles Pet Care, and we can say with confidence that we will absolutely board with them again!
Dawnn is wonderful with our bulldog Dixie. We rescued Dixie last November from a bad situation and she had not been away from us, so I wasn’t sure how she would be. She sometimes can be unpredictable around new people. She took the time to listen to my concerns when I dropped Dixie off and when I messaged about how she was doing they were quick to respond and even sent a photo! I was very pleased with how they treated our pup while we were away. They even helped me make arrangements for her to get her nails trimmed while she was staying there! I highly recommend them!
I can not say enough great things about Doodles Pet Care! As recent transplants to Maine, we were anxious about boarding our two dogs. I reached out to Sharlene and Tim via email and they responded quickly, with all of the information I needed. I had a LOT of questions, all of which they answered with ease. My dogs were actually missing one of the required vaccines, which we had to go get before our boarding dates, which really reassured me that they take dog safety and health seriously. We arrived to drop our dogs off and Sharlene and another young woman were there to greet us promptly! They were so sweet and gentle with our dogs that we were able to slip out the front door quietly, without anyone noticing. During our trip, they sent us photos of our dogs playing outside, and answered all of our text messages quickly! We felt so reassured the entire time we were away that our babies were receiving excellent care. When we arrived to pick our dogs up, Sharlene and Tim were so sweet and gave us all the important updates for our animals while we were away. Our dogs almost didn’t want to leave, they had such a wonderful time at Doodles! Thank you so much Sharlene and Tim. We will be using Doodles Pet Care again for our boarding needs!!!
Doodles took great care of our two big dogs and my Sons dog while we were away. One had never been boarded before and was very fearful and they gave him the patience and space he needed. They used great care with him. Our other two loved their experience. I will definitely board all dogs again in the future. Gave me peace of mind while we were away knowing they were in good hands.
Tim and Sharlene are FANTASTIC! They were warm and reassuring and even sent pictures while we were away. Rooney isn't used to staying many places, but he really had a successful and enjoyable stay at Doodles! I would highly recommend bringing your pets here for the day or even over night. I felt like he was in a safe place with people who really cared to look after him. I don't know what we would have done without them!! THANK YOU!! We will absolutely be back again!!
So glad I found Doodles ! Owners Sharlene and Tim cared about my pup before they even met him! Booking was easy, I knew what to bring and what to expect. The excitement when they met our pup carried through during his stay and after. We got photo updates on their Facebook page seeing him playing and having fun. The communication and presence with our boy gave us such a sense of ease while we were gone. Oh, and he came home happy and tired. We WILL be back to Doodles !

Archie, our bearded collie, went in for a bath and trim today. Our dogs have always been treated with kindness here. But it’s one of the coldest days of the year, early December, with high temperatures only in the 20s. How stupid do you have to be to shave a long haired dog all the way down to 1/4” when it’s this cold, against explicit instructions?
My dog boarded for a week. He is a rescue and had never been away from me before. While I would have liked some more modern features such as web cams to see him, the most important criteria was surpassed: he came back to me emotionally whole, a happy guy who had been treated really kindly by everyone there. And that was priceless for me.
I had an emergency come up and needed to have Shep taken care of for a couple of weeks. It was last minute and almost Memorial day weekend. Haggett Hill Kennel was happy to help me out of the bind. I would 100% recommend them. They also have daycare if you don't need the overnight aspect. Friendly staff, Great place.
