Caroline and Rob are the best the house sitters you could wish for. They were very flexible with our arrival and departure times due to our flights and nothing was any trouble. We did not worry about Teddie for a second as we knew he was in great hands and was being spoiled rotten. Caroline and Rob sent daily video's and photos of their various walks, tea shops and walks to our local pub. It was such a joy to know that they were enjoying their stay and Teddie was as happy as larry! Caroline and Rob are fabulous and very caring and 5 stars are not enough! When we returned home the house was immaculate, and Teddie was beautifully groomed and very happy. We cannot thank Caroline and Rob aka Auntie C and Uncle B enough for their care, patience and the genuine affection to our Teddster. We are all looking forward to seeing you in March. Stephen and Sarah were absolutely fantastic! They sat for us for 5 weeks and looked after Maple brilliantly. Communication was fantastic with updates throughout the week with photos! The house was immaculate upon return and they even left us dinner for that evening so save us going shopping after travelling and some treats too! The love and care they showed Maple was the best and Maple was super happy and settled with them both. Thank you for everything, we would have you back in a heartbeat xxx

Sharon and Jeff were great house sitters. Arriving early after we changed the times they came straight in and met the dogs. Mutual love at first sight. We returned to a clean and tidy house and happy, groomed dogs that have been sulking since they left. We went off confident that they could copy with everything which is just what you need when leaving for 2 weeks. Hopefully they will sit for us again with better weather !!

Jennie & Alan house/ pet sitted with their daughter over the August bankholiday, which should have been a gorgeous summer weekend but storm Lillian had other plans. Jennie & Alan weren't phased by the weather which blew the bins over & lots of branches on the forest tracks but none of this stopped them enjoying days out & activities nearby. The house was lovely & clean on my return home with bed linen,towels all washed & drying- a few things out of place but Jennie was quick to messege me when I couldn't find things. The birds & cat seemed happy on my return & seemed well cared for in my absense- I appreciated some good photo's & updates on progress whilst away. I was pleased the house plants & greenhouse had been watered as guests often forget that duty. It's a pity we hadn't had an in- person contact handover at the start of the sit due to arrival timings but I sent video & written instructions to help them find everything & they where quick to ask if they needed local or other information. I'd happily have them to return sit & so glad their daughter enjoyed the pets & garden :)

Ebony is an amazing sitter. Her communication before arrival was excellent. From the time she arrived the cats seemed very comfortable with her. She kept me updated throughout the sit, even following up when I had a problem getting messages. My flight home was delayed and she very kindly stayed late to give the cats dinner. I arrived home to a spotless house, with even fresh sheets on the bed and all the laundry done, and most importantly super happy cats! I cannot recommend her highly enough. Anyone would be lucky to have her looking after their precious pets and home. I do hope she can sit for me again one day!

Cynthia was a perfect pet sitter for our little kitty. We knew from her extensive experience with cats that Nala was in good hands. She was extremely responsive via texts when we were away, ensuring us that the 2 of them were having a great time. She went absolutely above and beyond by scrubbing our bath and toilets to remove our mineral deposit rings that we haven't been able to get rid of! She even left the name of the product she used so we can get more in the future. The house was cleaner than when we left. We'll have her back anytime!

Toby and Chloe were amazing pet sitters. It wasn’t the easiest sit - a nervous dog and 3 cats with various ailments and medication to have, but they took it all in their stride and cared for them so well without any issues. Our nervous dog Zelda warmed to them in just 2 days which is a record for house sitters so far! I also really enjoyed getting to know them over dinner the night before I left, they’re very easygoing and positive people. They also left the house spotless for when I came back. I would love to have them sit for us again. You can rest assured your house and animals are in safe hands with this lovely pair!

Pares is an experienced and quality sitter and we knew our cat Juniper (and a few plants) was well cared for. We received regular updates and photos which was really nice to have during our travels. While we missed Juniper, we could see that she enjoyed receiving cuddles and attention from Pares. Upon returning home, our flat was clean and tidy, and Juniper was very happy! Kathy and Ron arrived at our home with a most fantastical toy for our cats and a giant apple pie. Need I say more? They are very experienced sitters and brought personal items that they prefer. We knew we were leaving out cats in good hands. A large part of their 'job' was hand watering our garden and Ron took that in stride. Everything is thriving. Our cats are usually distant with new people but we received photos of them keeping Kathy and Ron company in various situations which was reassuring. They clearly won our cats over. Although Ron and Kathy had a ferry to catch on their last day, they took time to wash their linens and hang them on the clothesline. They also left us a gorgeous plant for our garden. We would very much like to have them back for a longer sit if possible.

Karen was an extraordinary house and pet sitter who I hope to invite back again soon. You would be extremely fortunate to have her take care of your pets and home. From the very beginning she radiated calmness, knowledge, caring and curiosity. We had a great initial conversation where Karen answered questions I didn't even know I should be asking, and asked excellent questions so she could be prepared and understand the special needs for both my cat and home. She flew into my city the day before I was leaving and stayed at a nearby hostel so that we could meet in person and do a walk through of my home. They say pets have an intuitive nature about people, and I knew Karen would be a winner when my normally very shy/nervous cat came right up and let her pet him. Karen sent wonderful pictures and updates while I was gone and asked questions when she wasn't sure about something. When I returned home everything was spotless and my cat was content. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better house sitter experience. Thank you Karen!

Chris was a fantastic cat sitter for our elderly and high maintenance kitty. Chris was the perfect combination of responsible and on top of her medication needs while also being calm and relaxed about her picky eating habits and the need to monitor her food and medication consumption. I whole-heartedly recommend Carly and her partner Fanny to sit for you! They were fabulous and reliable house sitters from start to finish. Carly was timely and thoughtful in all of her communications and let us know the state of affairs in our apartment with our cat and plant babies while we were away. They followed our directions to a 'T.' We came home to find a happy cat, thriving plants, a spotless apartment and laundered linens. Just came back from a week away on a family holiday having never left my dog with anyone other than friends before. It was lovely to see how well settled and looked after he has been at Maddie’s Retreat. I got plenty of updates throughout his stay with pictures showing all the fun he was having. We recently used Maddie Retreat for our dog Evie. She had a great time being walked with lots of new doggy friends & being looked after in a lovely home environment. Maddie's Retreat really is a home from home for our dog. He absolutely loves going to stay with Julie and gets really excited when we mention her name. Julie and her family treat the dogs in there care as if they were their own and they want for nothing. I would highly recommend them.
My little Yorkie loves to go to Julie’s and I feel reassured when she goes there that she will be looked after really well and surrounded by other little dogs. Julie has extensive knowledge of animals and is very committed to her job and looking after other peoples pets making sure they feel at home. She’s very patient with my dog and very careful and aware of safety issues. Highly recommended.
After I lost one of my little dogs and didn't want to put my other one into kennels Julie stepped up for me and took my little dog into her home. She did a check first to make sure she fitted in and after a successful visit i felt comfortable leaving my little dog with her. When I came back from my weekend away it was quite apparent she'd settled in well and was comfortable there. Mollie our Cockerpoo recently stayed at Maddies Retreat whilst we were on holiday.Julie took such good care of her & we received regular updates which were lovely to see. Mollie thoroughly enjoyed herself & I would highly recommend Julie for home boarding & daycare.
What amazing doggy boarding. Julie and her team took fantastic care of Dougal whilst we were on holiday. Paddling pools for him in the hot weather and plenty of walks. He was sad to leave after having made so many new doggy friends. The dogs really do just play together and relax together under Julie’s supervision. I was sent regular updates on Dougal which was very reassuring. He was even groomed several times. Fantastic care from someone who clearly adores dogs.

Sarah was brilliant with my 10month old Pointer pup who I left with P-A-W-S for several hours - I received several updates of how he was doing and Sarah made sure additional contact details were attached to him when they went for a walk. Sarah oversaw that he was with other dogs that matched his character type - I think my pup was sad to leave when I picked him up! Would thoroughly recommend.
