When we got home Phillipa had a delicious vegan stew ready for us, which we were very grateful for 🙏 Our home was kept clean and tidy and David even did some gardening, keeping our garden looking beautiful. Bridget (Bee) sat for us for three weeks this summer. This was the second time she had looked after Maggie and our house, and we have asked her back again this Christmas, which I think says it all! Bee is warm, friendly, kind and considerate. Her first priority is always to make Maggie happy and feel loved, and we have come home to a very content dog, who I think is missing Bee a lot! Bee sent us photos or videos on a daily basis while we were away, telling us what she'd been up to with Maggie. She looked after our garden beautifully - we came back to a perfect lawn and a well-watered, happy garden. It was wonderful to know that she was enjoying the house and garden while we were away, and she left everything spotless. We couldn't recommend Bee enough and fingers crossed she can sit for us again! x

It was a pleasure to have James and Helene stay in our home with Jupiter and Everest. James arrived on time for our departure and was a lovely man to meet. Very kind and friendly which put us instantly at ease. They left the house very clean and tidy which was hugely appreciated. The dogs were both well cared for and we had some pup updates whilst we were away. We would gladly have them stay again.

Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.

I never met Joi because due to her work, she arrived after I left and was gone before I returned home. This wasn't a problem at all. She was very self-sufficient and seemed to find all that she needed in my house. The house looked exactly like I left it and my cat seemed very content when I returned. Apparently they had a nightly routine of Luna getting brushed. Joi is a very experienced sitter and it shows.

I was fortunate to have Hillary return for a second sit. She took excellent care of both my cat and my home. She got on well with my neighbors and even allowed my friend to come visit Suley while she was there. I especially appreciate how flexible and accommodating she was regarding arrangements for a sitter who would be taking over for the second part of my very long absence. All in all, Hillary is a gem!

Elisabeth was an excellent sitter for our cat. We were away for two weeks and received daily photos and notes from her about Catman's activities (i.e., sleeping and eating). She is definitely a cat lover and that was evident from our cat's calm behavior when we returned.

Denae and Burl were absolutely fabulous house/pet sitters for 4 weeks, Dec 2022- Jan 23. They are very friendly and intelligent, caring towards the animals (2 cats and 1 lively dog), and left our home clean and tidy. It all went very, very smoothly. We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.

Anna was a wonderful sitter for our furry friends. My dog, Luke, bonded with her and was sad when she left. My cats would crawl under the covers and curl up with her at night. She is a true animal magnet and lover. I highly recommend Anna to anyone who wants their pets to recieve first class love while away.

We couldn't have asked for better sitters than Pares and Mark. Since our initial contact, it was straightforward to communicate with Pares. We were lucky enough to get a chance to meet Pares with our dog Luna, and Luna got along with her immediately. During our time away from home, she kept us informed about how both our dog and cat were doing, and they were both cuddling with her since the first day. We got a lot of pictures and knew that they were safe and happy. The apartment was exactly as we had left it when we came back. Pares and Mark even ran the dishwasher and the washing machine for us. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter, and it made our trip very easy knowing they were taken care of so well. We'd have Pares and Mark back to our home without any hesitation.

Jose was a wonderful pet/house sitter for us recently. We highly recommend him. He was wonderfully reliable and responsible and took such good care of our two pets. On short notice Jose drove down from Grass Valley to the East Bay for a bit of a quiet get-away while working a really hard job teaching online. We know how hard that is firsthand and partly why we needed our own get-away for a last-minute backpacking trip. We have a recently rescued pit bull and a rescued cat that we're still introducing to each other to make sure the dog doesn't eat the cat (as he seems to want to), and the cat doesn't blind the dog (as she would if he tried to eat her). That might be more background than is needed in a review but Jose made us feel comfortable about everything because of how conscientious and responsible he clearly is. We could tell when we talked to him that he was genuinely kind and eminently trustworthy. We are very grateful and hope Jose was happy with everything too because we know what a value his care was to us. Jose truly deserves any and all house-sitting gigs that strike his interest. Ours was not the easiest and he was amazing. Get him if you can.

Claire’s has been a great help. I recently moved to the area and needed a dog walker fairly quickly. She takes my dog out three times a week, he loves her and can’t wait to go out with her. Can’t speak highly enough of the empathetic and professional service provided by Claire following the passing of our much loved dog. Absolutely recommend fir tree pets hotel, it was our first time leaving our Frenchie when we went away for 2 weeks. They made us feel so welcomed and made us feel at ease knowing he was going to be well looked after. They kept us up to date with how he was getting on and sent lots of photos. Just picked up our dog after our holiday, it's was Lunas third stay at Fir Tree Pets Hotel and she is always happy to stay and I'm confident by the way she is when we collect her she has been well looked after and enjoyed her stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a boarding kennel for their pet.

This was the first time I used fir tree but it definitely won’t be the last. My 9 year old jack Russel seemed very comfortable and very well looked after. The staff are lovely and put my mind at rest from the moment I met them. Thoroughly recommend
Not very good, I won't be using again, my dog absolutely stunk of old urine and his bed had to be thrown away when I picked him up, I have used other kennels before and never had this! My first time using this one and never again! Also my dog was very stressed when I picked up! Never using kennels again, he will be coming on holiday with us in the future. I just had a email saying this is fake! I can assure you that it not! We had our dog stay in September
Our beautiful girl stayed for a few nights and had such a fantastic time. She was so relaxed under the experience of the lovely staff. They were very helpful in guiding us on preparation to the stay and kept in touch with updates. We were thrilled with the conditions and the love they showed our girl. We booked our 8 year old rescue in for his first ever stay in kennels for a 2 week stay( holiday booked way before we adopted him) with the previous owners, so I was very surprised when I took our boy for his holiday to find Lauren ,Charlie and Kirsty to welcome us. We'll...what a lovely welcome, Lauren,Charley and Kirtsy seemed pleased to meet and welcome him into their care. While he was staying with them we had regular updates and photos too to help put our minds at rest, which we were very grateful for. Communication was excellent and on our return they were very accommodating due to our flight was being a little delayed, we couldn't collect when we had first agreed. Lauren was so helpful and seemed to take a real shine to our lovely lad. We are very thankful, we will return and we highly recommend. Our two dogs stayed for two weeks , they both seemed very well when we picked them up , but they both smelt of stale urine , and so did their beds . We had to buy new beds for them , as the smell did not wash out of the beds , even at 60 degrees !!! Overall a very expensive experience . We won’t be using this kennel again .
